Design 1(FOR 10m^3/day): As the water is continuously flowing in the oil/grease trap so its design is based on per min entrance of water. In our case 0.007m^3 is coming per minute while we are taking 1-year detention time for the cleaning of tank. So on the basis of this the total volume of container needed will be 0.31m^3(0.007+0.307) the volume in ft. will be 11ft^3. For this we are selecting dimensions of container as 3 x 2 x 2.5 (Keeping 0.5 ft. provision of free board). In this tank the cleaning will be done by using a scraper system that will lift the oil and grease from the tank and put it in a separate vessel at the top portion of the tank. The construction in this case will from 0.5 in. thick stainless steel sheet.



Design 2(FOR 100m^3/hour): As the water is continuously flowing in the oil/grease trap so its design is based on per min entrance of water. In our case 1.67m^3 is coming per minute while we are taking 1-week for the cleaning of tank. So on the basis of this the total volume of container needed will be 3.1m^3 (1.67+1.4) the volume in ft. will be 110ft^3. For this we are selecting dimensions of container as 7 x 5 x 6 (Keeping 1 ft. provision of free board). In this design the tank will be cleaned manually after every week. We can also use switches for efficient working and cleaning of the tank. The construction of this tank will be from concrete which will increase its durability and it will also be cost efficient.
