This draft amendment A1, if approved, will modify the European Standard EN 13263-1:2005. If this draft becomes an amendment, CEN members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for inclusion of this amendment into the relevant national standard without any alteration. This draft amendment was established by CEN in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation under the responsibility of a CEN member into its own language and notified to the CEN Management Centre has the same status as the official versions. Foreword This document (EN 13263-1:2005/prA1:2008) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 104 “Concrete and related products”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This document is currently submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s). For relationship with EU Directive(s), see informative Annex ZA, which is an integral part of this document. This amendment covers modified requirements for the silicon dioxide content in 5.2.1, for which a class for contents down to 80 % SiO2 is added. The purpose of this modification is to include products which are legally placed on the market. The remaining technical content of EN 13263-1:2005 has not been changed. At the same time Clause 2 "Normative references" and Bibliography has been updated.

Replace "EN 196-7:1989" with "EN 196-7:2007". Delete all full stops and semicolons.

Replace the definition and its origin with the following: "sample taken within a short period of time and at a fixed point from within a larger quantity, relating to the intended tests. It can be obtained by combining one or more immediately consecutive increments [EN 196-7:2007]".

Replace the whole sub-clause with the following text: "The content of silicon dioxide, SiO2, as determined by the method described as reference method in EN 196-2 shall be not less that 85 % by mass for class 1, or not less than 80 % for class 2 silica fumes. NOTE
