Designation
Description
Engine start command (Local)
Engine is started from Local panel. Engine can only start when the start block function is not active.
Engine stop command (Local)
Engine is stopped from Local panel. Only if local/remote switch is in local
Engine start command (CFC061)
Engine is started from CFC061 panel. Engine can only start when the start block function is not active.
Engine stop command (CFC061)
Engine is stopped from CFC061 panel. Only if local/remote switch is in remote
Engine start command (WOIS)
Engine is started from WOIS system. Engine can only start when the start block function is not active.
Engine stop command (WOIS)
Engine is started to its nominal speed and given stop command from WOIS system.
Engine speed increase / decrease commands
Engine speed can be controlled when genset control is selected manual and operation mode is speed droop. (engine not synchronized).
Excitation increase / decrease commands
Generator excitation can be varied when genset control mode is selected manual and generator control in voltage droop control.
Breaker close command against dead bus
Voltage sensing circuit is tested by simulating the conditions when breaker should not close. Closing only possible against dead busbar.

One shut down function executed in PLC is simulated in order to check the functionality of the shut down circuit with running engine.

Engine overspeed protection
Designation
Description
Overspeed protection, engine speed control system
Engine speed is raised to reach engine over speed limit, or trip limit is reduced to simulate overspeed trip. Limit is set in the software.
