EPEXOL ® mengatur sekresi mukus pada bronkus dan menormalkan kembali sifat fisik mukus. Sekresi mukus dirangsang sehingga kekentalan dahak berkurang. - Meningkatkan aktivitas dan fungsi transpor silia. EPEXOL ® memulihkan mekanisme pembersihan daerah trakeabronkus dengan merangsang sel epitel bersilia. Gerakan silia meningkat, secara morfologis terlihat peningkatan jumlah mikrofili dari sel epitel bersilia dan peningkatan aktivitas sel bersilia. - Merangsang produksi sur faktan (fosfolipid sur face active) paru-paru. Oleh karena efek anti-lekat dari sur faktan, maka pelekatan antara partikel lendir dengan dinding bronkus berkurang, demikian juga antara partikelpartikel mukus yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya gumpalan-gumpalan lendir. EPEXOL ® diabsorpsi dengan baik di saluran pencernaan. Waktu paruh antara 9 - 10 jam. Pada pemberian berulang dalam dosis terapi, tidak menunjukkan terjadinya penimbunan. EPEXOL ® dimetabolisme menjadi beberapa metabolit inaktif dan dieliminasi sebagai konyugat glukuronat yang larut dalam air. EPEXOL ® memiliki toleransi yang baik, sehingga memungkinkan untuk digunakan dalam jangka lama. INDIKASI EPEXOL ® diindikasikan untuk penyakit saluran pernapasan akut dan kronis yang disertai dengan sekresi bronkial yang abnormal, terutama pada serangan akut dari bronkitis kronis, asma bronkial, pengobatan sebelum dan sesudah operasi serta pada perawatan intensif untuk menghindari komplikasi paru-paru.



EFEK SAMPING EPEXOL ® umumnya dapat ditoleransi dengan baik. Dilaporkan adanya efek samping gastrointestinal yang ringan serta alergi pada beberapa pasien. PERHATIAN Tidak dianjurkan pada kehamilan trimester pertama. INTERAKSI OBAT EPEXOL ® memungkinkan untuk dikombinasi dengan obat-obat lainnya terutama dengan kortikosteroid, bronkodilator dan antibiotik. DOSIS Bentuk sediaan

EPEXOL ® regulate mucus secretion in bronchus and renormalize physical property of the mucus. Mucus secretion is stimulated until viscosity of the sputum is decreased. - Increase activity and transport function of the cilia. EPEXOL ® relieves cleaning mechanism in tracheobronchial by stimulating ciliary epithelium cell. Cilia movement is increasing, it is observed that microvili is increasing morphologically from ciliary epithelium cell and also activity of ciliary cell is increasing. - Increasing lungs production of surfactant (phospholipids surface active). Anti-adhesive effect of surfactant is occurred so that adhesiveness between phlegm particle and bronchus wall is decreased, also between mucus particles which caused phlegm clod is formed. EPEXOL ® is well tolerated in gastrointestinal tract. Its half life is 9 - 10 hours. In recur administration of therapy dose, accumulation is not observed. EPEXOL ® is metabolized into several inactive metabolites and it is eliminate as glucuronic conjugate which is soluble in water. EPEXOL ® has a good tolerance which enable long term usage. INDICATIONS EPEXOL ® is used to relieve acute and chronic respiration disease with abnormal bronchial secretion, particularly in acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, bronchospasm asthma, before and after operation therapy, also intensive care to avoid lung complication. ADVERSE REACTIONS EPEXOL ® is usually well tolerated. It has been reported in several patients occasional mild gastrointestinal side effects and allergic reactions occurred.



PRECAUTIONS It is advisable to avoid use during the first trimester of pregnancy. DRUG INTERACTIONS EPEXOL ® is enable to combine with other drugs particularly with corticosteroid, bronchodilator, and antibiotic. DOSAGE EPEXOL® Tablet (30 mg)

Dosage form
