■Special cautions (1)After the installation is complete, Oil plug on the highest place of actuator must be changed with air plug provided in list of spare parts! (2) Cable wire must drill through exceed cover of supplied in the spare part and spin tightly. (3)Installation/debugging process and after the completion, screw in outgoing line cover must be screwed tightly! Intensity advice connects with shield lead. User caused loss for failure to observe the installation of the product product’’s requirements, our company shall not bear responsibility for the warranty.

Unpacking check, Transportation, Storage and safe notes 1.1 Unpacking check Each actuator was checked strictly before leaving factory to ensure quality of product. After unpacking the actuator, please carry out the following checks immediately. (1)Check whether actuator is damaged during transportation; (2)Check whether the actuator and attachment is the same as packing list, model of ordered contract.
1.2 Transportation and storage (1)Transportation temperature is -30℃~+75℃ Storage temperature is -10℃~+45℃; (2)Under the condition without special package, place it in dry room to avoid condensation; (3)During transporting it in humid environment with corrosive gas, it must have suitable packing and desiccant. Check whether the desiccant is valid.
1.3 Safe precautions Actuator is a special device to drive terminal control cell (valve and baffle), which has be widely used in the industries such as electric power, metallurgic, petroleum, chemical, building material, urban water supply and sewage treatment etc. Notes when installing: (1)When operating actuator under high temperature environment, operator must wear special protective glove to avoid personal injury resulted from heating of metal parts. (2)According to design purpose, driving baffle and valve unit of actuator is in rotary motion. It is dangerous for operator to operate improperly. (3)Leaked lubricant during change of oil shall be cleaned up timely to avoid accident. Waste oil shall be timely treated by operator on the site to avoid pollution of water source. (4)Mounting, configuration setting and electric connection of actuator must be carried out by experienced professionals. (5)Operators must observe security operating procedures when operating. First cutting power, then operating electric parts, we should prevent hasty drive actuators because of the operator’s negligence.

1 Overview M8500/M8600 series conversion-frequency actuator is professional equipment for driving unit of terminal control (value, baffle and so on). The product is a new generation of built-in DSP engine of high-performance 16-bit single-chip (DSPIC digital signals, simple called DSC DSC) of the United states Microchip Technology Inc. at the core. It adopts frequency control technique with contemporary advanced to realize ideal mild start and orientation control. And it has reduced machine impact. I t has a series of self-diagnose and self-protect function for over torque and over heat. It has excellent protect effect to terminal adjusted unit of value. It adopts conversion-frequency control, which can flexible adjustment for output thrust (torque) during orientation process to realize high-precision orientation and without over rush. Its start-current approach motor’s rating current, which is start-current of routine switch control for one-eight to one-fourth and reduce strike for this produce’s driving part and motor. It has high-reliability. According to user’s request, this product has infrared communication function or according to Fieldbus communication function of profibus-DPV1 protocol. It realizes digital communication control, fast setup, remote operation, trouble diagnoses and information collection. This produce widely applies to electricity, metallurgy, oil, chemicals, building materials, urban water supply, sewage treatment, and other industries with high control requirements of the occasion.
2 Exceed factory state 2. Exceed factory state 2.1 Grade of protect The protection degree is IP65 when the actuator was supplied. After installing cable’s sealed stuff and cable wire, it can ensure to reach IP67grade of protect.

3 Structure and principle 3.1Collectivity structure and principle The actuator is by the composition of the conversion-frequency motor, position sensor, worm wheel, worm, driving shaft, control unit, local operation panel, hand-wheel. The control unit accepts 4~20mA or discrete control signal and driving motor’s turning. The motor drives worm which driving worm wheel again to drive output shaft turning. The position sensor checks position of motor’s turning and transmit position of value to control board. When the control board checks that the position signal and given control signal is the same as position appointed, cutting motor’s power, the self-lock character of the worm and worm wheel make the actuator stop running.
3.2 Structure of electric parts and principle 5
The electrical parts mainly involve connection terminal board, power filtering board, CPU board, conversion-frequency board, hall sensor board and so on. The connection terminal board affords outside connection which involve in/out terminal of control signal, power terminal, lithium battery and connection terminal, battery switch and so on. They locate in connection terminal box. The power filtering board locates in operation faceplate-cover. It makes up of power filtering, fuser and resistance/capacitance filtering network which fulfill power filtering to realize EMI protect. Main power enter into connection terminal by power filtering board outputting to conversion-frequency which supply power for the device. The CPU board and signal board locate inside operation faceplate-cover and signal board locate in the back of CPU CPU. The switch-box’s knobs on the button of operation faceplate operate by magnetism part effecting into magnetic switch. They realize operation and control without contact. The CPU board mainly makes up of micro-controller, digital analog input/output channels, operation switch, display and so on, which is control core in the device. The analog adjustment signal inputs to the CPU by the signal board. The feedback signal fulfills D/A switch by the CPU board and outputs direction volts d.c. into the signal board. The signal board fulfills photo-electricity separation and V/A switch, which output to up-system. After the displacement of output shaft has been checked by the hall sensor, it outputs pulse signal into the CPU board and fulfills count and switch. The discrete signal outputs the relay of 1-4 on the CPU board. The discrete signal outputs the relay of 5-7 on the signal board. The conversion-frequency board locates inside operation faceplate-cover. It directly installs bottom of the device’s cover. It main makes up of power transformer, main relay,the IGBT module and control circuit. The transformer supplies for the device. The IGBT module accepts CPU board control, which fulfill A.C-D.C-A.C switch. It realizes conversion-frequency control to the motor.
3.3 Additional gearbox Some actuator equipped with additional gear-box to meet customer’s special requirement of torque.The digital brand on the additional gearbox record concerned input torque and force and so on.

5 Lubricate 5.1 Actuator The actuator need to use lubricate. There is unlimited on the location of the installation( see 6.2 part of the instruction manual). You needn’t to change lube during the whole life of the actuator. For supplying, two holes of discharged oil need to be sealed with oil plug. Once the actuators install to proper position, you must make the most top of discharged oil bolt to change discharged gas with random. So it can avoid the air inside the hull of the actuator dilate and press increase when the actuator running.

5.3 Additional gear-box Some actuators need to connect a additional gear-box for upgrade output torque and limit running range. So they need to lubricate for upgrading life.
5.3.1 Worm wheel We advise to change a lube after running six years. 5.3.2 Linear switch unit We advise to change a lube after running 4-5years.
5.4 Assistant output module (A mode) For lever/linear switch, the actuator can install assistant output module A. It lubricates interior axletree by lube of module connection sleeve. It need to replenish lube every other two months. Use the same lube to valve’s stem.
6 Installing 6.1 The inspection of actuator �

6.2 Installing notes �
Installing position is unlimited. But you should avoid two oil diacharge plugs to be in or approach the
same level. All directions of the actuator can operate with hand, electric connection or local. Special note : When electric actuator (M8510 ~ M8530/M8610 ~ M8630) combine with the corner-type gearbox(with lever A8005L~ A8090L) ,there is interference when output lever run to upper position , see Fig.2, (fig 2a-b) is standard combination position when leaving factory. For fig 2c and 2d of table 4 " × " shows interference happened in assembly, it's not recommended to adopt. Except standard installation position, user should estimate if there is interference of lever turning position when other combination position is used. �

If the actuator exposures in heat-source, it need to use separate layer or heat-shield. When the outer power is interrupted, the actuator use the back-up lithium battery to record manual valve’s running. The lithium battery is installed the top of connection terminal box. When the top switch of battery should be cut during transport and stock, the battery circuit is disconnect. After installing and adjusting, the switch need to dial connected position. When exceed the factory, the actuator isn’t be pre-adjustmented (the range of operation isn’t defined). After connection of machine and electric, adjust running range again.(see P1.1 and P1.2 of 8.1.1) The handwheel and ventilation plug for replacement supplied by manufacturer are not installed before leaving factory. After installation the whole set, the supplied parts should be installed and displaced. When user purchase the electric actuator (M8300/ 8400) without additional unit or second stage reducer, manufacturer should supply accessories: one piece of positioning ring (see graphic representation in page 13), it's not installed when leaving factory. User must install it during connection. 9

The actuator’s eyebolt is only used for hoisting actuator.After the actuator and converter or valve are assembled, the whole weight increase. You need to adopt suitable binding rope in right position when rise.
7 Electric connection The down-lead assign of terminal connection see Fig.3. They direct connect to terminal row of the product’s connection-box though cable.

7.1 Connection Allowed load of contact see the 4th part in this instruction. Screening all signal cables. There is only a contact between the wire of connected with the earth and the actuator. Recommended connection of system. see Fig.3.

During transportation, the screw thread hole of cable’s sealing entry was covered with plug screw. The grade of protect was ensured by the sealing of cable entry. Please use enter-cover that collocated random allocation and collocate fit cable of outer dimension. If necessary, you can smear sealant in cable’s entrance to ensure specified protection degree.
7.3 Safety Main power’s insurance locate in filter board. It’s specification is 3×15A(M8610-M8630),or 3×25A(M8640/8650),Φ6.3×32;(the same as M8500 series) Digital output and external 24V.DC adopt self-renew insure. They locate in I/O board. When failure happens, they are returned to factory for maintenance.
8 Parameter setting and faceplate operation The actuator goes along configuration adjustment (setting position, Setting parameter, collocate, LOCAL diagnose and so on) by control board. All setting can process in this device’s control board by “LOCAL LOCAL” (local operation). The device’s control board is installed in electric unit. O/S O/S: It can’t operate(this serve is invalid). Local Local: It can operate and set (setting position, setting parameter, collocate, diagnose and so on) by this device. MODE/STOP Button Button: It involves increase button(+), decrease button(-) and mode button(MODE/STOP MODE/STOP),See Fig.4. After opening cover of operation board, there are three button-switches in CPU board which unction is the same as above three buttons. The mode selector-switch displace CPU board from the top-left jumper. Before installing cover, you need to put the jumper to the O/S O/S. LCD display display: see Fig.5 the digital of up-row displays the signal of value opening. When setting work, it displays the codes of adjustment parameter or parameter values. When lighten the symbol of “%” means that the digital is percent. Otherwise it is the other digital. When the character of below-row is running, it shows current work. During setting, it shows the code of parameter name or failure alarm commonly. LED LED: The green LED means “ the main power can use”. The red LED means “ failure or alarm that can’t continue operating”.

� P7 INSTANCY OPERATION Every main menu can be divided into one or several sub menu. Before operation or adjustment of control board, put mode selection switch to LOCAL position, see figure 3. mode/stop key have long press and dot press operation ways, long press is used to enter menu, dot press is used to confirm or quit menu. “+”“-”key are used to up and down search menu or setup increasing or reducing of parameter, when local operation or setup valve position to zero and full point, it can drive output shaft turn. Before drive actuator, setup operation range of output shaft. In LOCAL mode long press MODE key→P1,long press MODE key →P1.1,long press MODE key to enter zero setup, press “+” or “-”key,output shaft turn to required mechanical zero position, dot press MODE key, select to save current setup zero position. Dot press “+” key to enter into P1.2 and set full bit, use same way, operate output shaft of actuator to mechanical full bit, save and then exit, finish operation range setup of output shaft. Attention: There must be min. interval between zero and full bit of actuator, when output shaft doesn’t reach min. adjustable range, 4 lines will be shown in display“- - - -”,when actuator exceed min. adjustable range, line will change to “□□□□”.

8.2 Save setup First use +/- button of display to set new parameter, then short press stop/mode button, if parameter is SAVE changed, display will show static “SAVE SAVE”. If you want to cancel, press + or – button to operate, then press STOP/MODE button to return. SAVE If you want to save new value, press STOP/MODE button, flashing “SAVE SAVE” shows saving process.
9 Alarm and trouble Intelligent frequency conversion actuator have strong function, after analysis function start(P3 menu, see section 8 of manual), see information via LCD LCD, table 8 and 9 describe alarm and trouble information.
9.1 Alarm Definition: Alarm system start automatically when actuator reaches to critical situation, actuator continues working. If always keep such status, actuator will stop running.
9.2 Alarm information Because chosen operation mode is different, interval flashing display of alarm information just as 0/S/ALARM or REMOTE/ALARM LOCAL/ALARM LOCAL/ALARM,0/S/ALARM REMOTE/ALARM, detailed information in main menu of alarm sheet P3.2, when several trouble happens at same time, only show trouble and no alarm display. LCD display alarm information
Alarm description Adjustment signal switch off. But in remote switch control condition, no analysis to adjustment signal break off. The power of battery is not enough, exchanging should be done immediately. If battery empty, data exists if power off, but hand-wheel drive can cause valve displacement, when power on, valve position should be set again.
