Thank you for purchasing the auto carton sealer. This manual will show you the basic structure, using method and points for attention to use this machine safely and correctly. Please read this manual carefully before operating the machine. Be sure that the manual is hand to the final users. This manual content change, without prior notice. GPC carton sealer series use OPP tape to seal different kinds of cartons. The machine is operated and maintained easily with simple structure and high quality, for which it is widely used in various industries.

1 Specification: The carton sealer is a Semi-auto carton sealing machine which can fold the top cover of carton and seal; it can be operated separately, economic and high-efficiency, which is an ideal packaging machine. 3 Adjustment Instruction 3.1 Adjust the Height Of The Machine Working table Loosen the Nut b31, make the supporting board go higher or lower to control the working table height.(PIC3)



3.2 Adjust the Width for Case Spin the Hand Wheel to control the sealing width for the case. when you spin it in the clockwise direction, the width becomes narrow, when you do it in the opposite direction, the width becomes wider.(PIC4)

3.3Height Adjusting For The Cases Spin the hand-wheel at clockwise direction to make it go higher, when you spin it in the opposite direction, it goes lower.(PIC5)

3.5 Shrimp-Type-Device Adjusting (PIC7) Loosen the nut, spin the Shrimp-Type-Device in the correct and proper position to fold the case.

3.6 Adhesive Tape’s Installation And Adjusting(PIC8) 1、Firstly, load the OPP tape on the tape holder showing as the following picture. Secondly, load the tape goes through the roller C and Roller B. Thirdly, it goes through Roller D. At last it goes out from Roller F after 10



it comes out from the Tape Holder E as the picture shows. Pay attention that the sticky surface should be on the top.

3.8 Adhesive Tape Position Adjusting Shows As The Following Picture10: If the tape doesn’t stick on the middle of the carton lids, please do a little adjustment according the following pictures: Loosen Nut B, then use the Screw Driver to adjust the center Shaft of the tape holder.

11: Spin the spinning bottom to a proper speed for the tape, then loosen Nut M8, Adjust the distance between Nut M8*50’s front and back. Change the tension of the Shaft spring to control the Tape’s tension. Spin the spinning bottom clockwise, the tape tension becomes larger, do it in the opposite direction, it becomes smaller. When you make Nut M8*50 go a little front, the tape tension becomes larger, if make it go a little back, 12



it becomes smaller.

4 Operation And Instruction 4.1 Install Air Pipe, input the air 4.2 Adjust the air-pressure 4.3 Release the water if you check there’s some water in the Oil-water Separator and add some oil in it in time when the oil is not enough. 4.4 Adjust the sealing height and width 4.5 Case Side Pressing Wheel Adjusting 4.6 Adjust the Shrimp-Type-Device into the correct position 4.7 Connect the power, start the machine with ON bottom. 4.8 Form and fold the case by hand as the following picture shows, 13



then load the goods into the case and let the front and back case lids go lower than the other left and right case lids like the following picture(PIC12), at last you can push the case into the machine, to be sealed the top and bottom at the same time.

4.9 Flaps Folding Machine’s working steps: close the front case lid pneumatically, then the back lid, at last the Shrimp-Type –Device will close the left and right lids at the same time. 4.10 Push OFF bottom to stop the machine. 5 Repairing And Maintenance 5.1 Do remember to stop the air supply and power before you do any machine maintenance ,repairing and adjustment. 5.2 Add some oil in time when you check there’s little oil in the oil-water separator. Please use the oil that is only for air-pressure. 5.3 Release the water when you find there’s a lot of water in the oil-water separator. 15



5.4Clean the shaft of the cylinder very often, once there’s some dust on it, which causes air leakage. A、



5.5 Remember to check if the air-pipe fluent and not blocked for



folded. If it happens, please clear and make the air-pipe fluent for the air source.



5.6 Fill the engine oil to the silk pole every 3 months. 5.7 Fill the engine oil to the chain every 3 months 5.8 Keep the machine clean and dry.



5.9 Cut off the power and gas supply before the maintenance or adjustment. 5.10 Clean and lubricate the cutter before use. 5.11 It is normal that the belts would be tightened after operating for some time. 6 Restrictions on carton 6.1 Do not use the carton with plastic film on the surface. 6.2 the carton must be dry.(wet carton can not be sealed) 6.3 no dust and garbage on the carton surface. 6.4 deformed cartons are prohibited for use 6.5 the adhesive tape with different width and thickness can not be used.

9.3 Electric control operation: It’s necessary that you should read the manual carefully to know the performances of this machine’s all parts and the functions of all control position points before you operate the machine. For the contents of the operation manual, we have considered fully and carefully. If you find any mistakes, problems or unsatisfied places, please feel free to contact us. 1.The electric component Pneumatic control parts: the air supply of the machine is 6kg/cm2. The air circuit is composed of air source processor, cylinder, electromagnetic 26



valve and air pipe etc. Electric control parts: the power supply is 220VAC, 50HZ. 1 Phase. The electric circuit is composed of position switch, power switch, indicator and motor etc. 2.Operating procedures: Switch on:①Adjusting the height and width of the sealer manually. ②Connect the air source. ③Press the power switch “on”.



After that, the machine is ready to



run. Switch off:①Press the power switch “off”。 ②Then turn off the air source. 3.The running situation ①Switch on the machine and the indicator will be on. The feed belts are running, getting into operation state. ② When failure in operation happens, press the bottom “off”. Connect the power to continue the operation after troubleshooting. Please don’t put your hand into the machine to remove failure when power is on. ③Press the bottom “off” if the feed belts don’t run for avoiding burning the motor. Attention: It must be power off when shoot the failures. Safety comes first. 27



9.4 Inspection and Maintenance of pneumatic control. General method of inspection and maintenance of pneumatic control is very simple. It ‘s necessary that you know the performance of the machine and the functions of all the position control points for the sake of safety. 1. The pneumatic control components: the pneumatic control system consists of air source processor,



magnetic valve, cylinder and air



pipes. The pneumatic control work with the electric control system to ensure the high performance of the machine.。 2. General description to the faults and shooting methods ①Faults of air source processor Reasons: Usually this part won’t fault. If happens, it could be caused by manual or



it is out of service, or perhaps it is caused by being short



of maintenance leading to the processor’s leakage. Trouble-shooting method: maintain frequently or change a new one. ②Faults of electromagnetic valve Reasons: blockage in the electromagnetic valve and the coil is burned out. Or the looseness of the screws results in the bad connection between the coils and valve body and wearing of electromagnetic valve pistons. Leakage of the electromagnetic valve thus happens. Troubleshooting method: fix or change for a new one. ③ Faults of the cylinder 28



Reasons: Inside leakage caused by wearing of cylinder pistons or out of service. Troubleshooting method: change for a new one. The above are common troubleshooting methods. The oil lubrication of pneumatic control parts is also important. 9.5 Common malfunctions and solutions 1. Working improperly a) Check whether the air pressure of the air source is right or not and whether the pressure regulating valve is in the right position or not. b) Check whether all the parts of the machine are working properly or not. 2. Abnormal power supply ①Check whether the switch is ok or not. ②Check whether the voltage is steady or not. ③Check whether the wires loose or not. 3. Cylinder working improperly ①Check whether the air pipe works or not. ②Check whether the electromagnetic valve is right or not and whether the connection between electric coils and electromagnetic valve is good or not. ③Check pressure regulator works or not. ④Check inner parts of cylinder work normally or not. 29



⑤Check whether screws loose or not. 4. The motor doesn’t run. ①Check whether the thermo relay near the power switch trips or not and whether the power is off. ②Check whether the motor is right or not. ③Check whether chains works properly or not. ④Check whether motor shafts work normally or not. ⑤Check whether screws loose or not. 5. Belts working improperly ① Check whether the tightness of belts need adjustment or not. ② Check whether belts are OK or not. ③ Check whether motor shafts work well or not.
