BASIC UNDERSTANDING TOWARD NUMEROLOGY? Numerology is the analysis of numbers, specifically one’s date of birth, and the associated numerical values given to the letters of the alphabet, specifically one’s name. Numerology also examines such numbers and their extraordinary effects on one’s life and associated energy vibrations, along with the interpretation of such information to provide insight and guidance. Numerology is a science that allows practitioners to help their clients learn more about who they are, what they can become, and what they can expect in the years ahead. However, it also brings some practitioners far beyond that; to a place where knowledge stops being theory and becomes an experience. I hope you will become such a practitioner. As per oxford dictionary Numerology is the branch of knowledge that deals with occult significance of numbers. In numerology Astrologer relates each numbers and alphabetical characters to particular number and believes that the particular number has some sort of cosmic vibration. As per Hindu astrology, Astrologer builds relation between numbers and alphabetical characters to a particular Number from 1 to 9 and each number from 1 to 9 is represented by Planets. For example: Number 1 represented by Planet Sun, Number 2 represented by Planet Moon etc. These planets (1-9 numbers) are influencing individual’s characteristics. No one exactly knows the origin of Numerology and when it started. The Pythagorean and Chaldean schools of numbers are the most commonly used. Pythagorean system is more popular especially in West but Chaldean Numerology is older. In this website, Chaldean Numerology has been used to determine Alphabetical numbers. Pythagoras was a master mathematician born in Greece in the 6th century B.C; we all are familiar with his geometry theorems. However, He is also considered as a Farther of Modern Numerology. He spent many years of study in Egypt and other parts of the world and explore the ancient science of numbers. After that he brought his knowledge and experience to Greece and taught nearly forty years and established a college and philosophy of

numbers. There was a time when Astrology, Numerology and other occult studies were considered a religion not in the way we would know it today. Around 356 B.C; In the time of Alexander the Great, the Chaldeans believed that their knowledge of Numerology and Astrology went back at least 473,000 years. The Chaldean system of numbers is still in use today. The Chaldean system of numbers are also known as Mystic Numerology. What are the number's in Numerology? UNDERSTANDING OF NUMERS

The Meaning of Single Digit Numbers The single-digit numbers, 1 - 9, are the foundation of the science of Numerology. Each of these numbers has its own personality -- strengths, shortcomings, quirks -- so to get a good understanding of how numbers affect us, it helps to get to know each of these numbers as if it were a person with its own unique traits. Get to know what each number means as we introduce you to each one personally! In Numerology, each of the nine single-digit numbers has a personality -- a limited range of qualities and traits that makes it unique and recognizable. To me each number is a character, like any human being. In order to understand how numbers, affect us based on their location in the chart, it helps to get to know each single digit number as if it were a person. The goal is to get beyond each number being just a list of positive and negative qualities and to, instead, make each number come alive -- to sense how the numbers play off of each other. If you sense some exaggeration in my numerology meanings, remember that these nine "individuals" are extremes by their very nature

NUMBER 1 THE PRIMAL FORCE Among the nine single-digit numbers, the 1 takes a special place. From a spiritual perspective, it is the number of creation, the primal force from which all other numbers spring forth (as opposed to the often quoted zero from which, by definition, nothing could possibly come into being). It is said that when you truly understand the place and function of this most primal of all numbers, you will know all there is to know and enlightenment is yours. This statement, of course, does not apply to an understanding of the number 1 from a Numerologist's perspective alone, but perhaps that is a good place to start, as the personality of the number 1 aligns nicely with its more elevated spiritual symbolism. The 1 is a doer, a powerful force that produces results and does not allow anything or anyone to limit its potential. The 1 is aggressive, a necessary energy for creating and producing. The 1 is always in the forefront: a spear point directing and leading others. The shape of the number 1, just like the

shape of all other symbols, reflects its meaning; it walks upright with pride and purpose. Strong, determined, unwavering and with specific goals in mind, the 1 can turn dreams and ideas into reality. It pushes obstacles aside or simply drills right through them. The 1 grows, transforms and improves in perpetuity, precisely the way Mother Nature does. After all, nature's primal force and most basic building block is the number 1. Nature knows no mercy and its cruelty can be heartbreaking. However, it knows balance and gives life indiscriminately and without judgment. Scientists sometimes compete with nature, genetically altering fruits or breeding bugs for specific purposes. An understanding of nature teaches us that this is never a good idea and almost always produces unexpected backlashes. The number 1 has a similar built-in perfection and balance; you can force a change here or there, but negative repercussions are likely. The 1 tends to have a simple, straightforward view of life and its many complexities. It trusts its own ability to separate right from wrong. It doesn't waste time on abstract ideas or anything else that isn't in line with its pursuit of results. The 1 is no preacher, no philosopher, no spiritual explorer, no dreamer and certainly not an idealist. It is a pragmatist, a ruthless conqueror and a warrior extraordinaire. It is individualistic and independent to a fault. It will attempt to force its values and opinions on you but it won't accept, or even listen to, yours. The 1 does not hesitate when it senses a need for confrontation. It is jealous and extremely stubborn, but also courageous and willing to try anything new if it sees promise, even at great danger. It is, if you haven't guessed, the most masculine of all numbers. There is a certain quality, a sense of honor and responsibility that demands our respect, and it has a sense of justice that cannot be denied. The number 1 cannot witness injustice without jumping in and setting things straight. Its purity of purpose is an admirable quality of the number 1. It sees things for what they are and hypocrisy doesn't stand a chance. Befriend a 1 and you have a friend for life. You can poke fun at a 1 and not have to worry about hurt feelings. A 1 has a great capacity for humor, including the selfdeprecating kind. If, however, you try to cater to a 1 to win its love or friendship, you'll lose its respect instead. Stand up to a 1 and you may lose

the fight, but you'll gain its admiration. If you are in trouble and need help, the number 1 is who you want on your side -- there is no more dedicated protector or braver partner. If you are in love, the number 1 is the most difficult of all lovers: demanding, jealous, confrontational and impatient. If you find yourself in the service of a 1, you will be pushed to the limit, abused at all hours, and incapable of living up to its expectations. But you will also, without a doubt, become the best you could ever be. If the 1 is your enemy, you will be crushed without mercy. If you yourself are a 1, your happiness and satisfaction will come from your work more than from any other source. And if it was possible for a person to be fully and truly a 1 and only a 1, that individual would be successful and intimidating, as well as extremely unpleasant and dangerous.

NUMBER 2 THE ALL-KNOWING As the most feminine among all numbers, the 2 is also the most underestimated -- at least, when it comes to power and strength. After all, she is almost always gentle, tactful, diplomatic, forgiving and understanding. Certainly, she likes to keep the peace and will avoid confrontations as much as possible. If you look at the shape of the 2, however, you will recognize a symbolic representation of the ultimate survivor and an extremely resilient force. Her shape, as if bent on a knee with her head and back bowed in humility and servitude, makes it easy to dismiss her as weak and powerless. This is in stark contrast to the power and pride of the mighty and masculine 1, who will not bow for anyone at any price. However, when enough pressure is applied to the powerful warrior we see in the number 1, he will break and shatter and be done with. On the other hand, when the humble and feminine 2 finds herself under attack and burdened with a crushing weight, she will bend, she will bend as much as needed. And when the weight is removed, her elastic, flexible nature allows her to come right back up, seemingly with little harm done, and she will continue to play her role. Her strength and power is resilient and lasting, just as the shape of the

number 2 reflects that so beautifully. There is much more to her than meets the eye; she is often the true power behind the throne. As we stand in awe to the leadership and decisive actions of the 1, his strength and cunning relies on the clever and insightful advice of his greatest ally, the number 2. Unnoticed and operating from the shadows, she is the Mata Hari who outwits other spies and diplomats with her grace, her sensuality, her flattering attention and her gentle force of persuasion. She is smart and understands the underlying qualities that make people do this or do that. A born psychologist, there is not much about human nature that escapes her. She often controls the outcome of certain events without anyone else noticing or acknowledging. In fact, the credit quite often goes to some other entity when it should be hers. This does not bother her, because among her best qualities is patience. She knows her time will come. But even if she does not always get the recognition she deserves, she tends to take a special place in the hearts and minds of others due to her sophistication, her grace, her style and her excellent taste in art and music. The 2 has an in-born sense of music and rhythm that makes her popular among any social crowd, and it is in the lighthearted arena of play and art that she shines as a dancer and a conversationalist. Within a social environment, perhaps her most important asset is a sense of humor that is witty and selfdepreciating, but never slapstick or juvenile, as she is far too sophisticated for that. If the Greek god Zeus could be compared to the number 1, then his wife and sister Hera would represent the number 2. And like Hera, the number 2 is jealous and mean-spirited when other forces reach for her man. Because as gentle and loving as she is most of the time, her anger is formidable and another side of her comes out when she feels crossed or mistreated -- a side that can be mean and vengeful, cruel and unrelenting. She will claw her adversary to pieces and never look back in regret or remorse. What is hers is hers, and you are well-advised to remember that, as many Greek gods and half-gods found out the hard way. As a partner, the number 2 is an invaluable asset. She will defend you at any cost and her loyalty is unshakeable. However, she is emotional and demanding, and expects to be treated like a princess. She is devoted to you,

but she also expects you to be devoted to her. At times, she is a true drama queen, and when that happens you may know for sure that you have not paid enough attention lately. She is not particularly materialistic, but if you don't show up with gifts or flowers every once in a while, she will let you know in no uncertain terms that you are not measuring up. She will throw the occasional tantrum, but if you respond with love and attention she will make it up to you in proper fashion. In short, the number 2 is a sensual, graceful, loyal partner who can be a bit demanding, but is worth the trouble. And there is another important aspect to the number 2. As the most intuitive of all single-digit numbers, she is drawn to the occult (only the double-digit 11 surpasses her in that department). However, the real value of her intuitive prowess is in the way she interacts with others; it is the true basis of her tact and understanding. Like a good politician, which she can certainly be if needed, she often understands the true motivations of others better than they do, and her clarity and her powers of observation often help others to understand themselves better. On top of her jealousy, her vengeful nature when she feels mistreated and her cruelty when punishing adversaries, the 2 can also be critical and verbally abusive. Her ability to pout and sulk, her bouts of bad temper for trivial reasons and her extended periods of indifference can drive any sane person crazy. On top of that, she is capable of displaying the most illogical reasoning, and a verbal argument can feel like trying to slice water with a knife; nothing you say seems to have any effect. Generally, the best thing to do when a 2 behaves like that is to get out of her way for a while -- and then reappear with a big bouquet of flowers, and smile like nothing ever happened.

THE NUMBER 3 THE CREATIVE CHILD I have described the unique union between the numbers 1 and 2 as that of the father and mother unit, while revealing the extreme contradictory natures of each of their personalities. Now, we move on to what could be considered the result of their union: the number 3, an extraordinarily talented child. The number 3 is like a gifted teenager who is still under the protection of its parents: a bit spoiled, certainly scattered and perpetually in need of guidance. However, the most obvious traits of the 3 are in the creative field. A powerful

need to express feelings, ideas and visions of the imagination, coupled with an extroverted personality, makes it likely that a person with 3s in key points of their Numerology chart will seek a career in art, especially the verbal arts. His or her social skills are also excellent. Charm, wit and a sense of humor help a 3 individual along his or her path, and if that weren't enough, good looks and compelling charisma make this "kid" particularly attractive. No wonder so many are drawn to those with 3s in their charts. Followers are even willing to forgive less favorable traits exhibited by 3s, like a lack of focus and direction, a tendency to procrastinate, an inability to finish projects and an unwillingness to take responsibility. On the other hand, there is a superficial side to the 3 that can be harder to look past: a narcissistic streak, a vanity, a need to be the center of attention. It is easy for the optimistic 3 to enjoy day-to-day life as long as all is well, but when challenging issues arise, it can become quickly apparent that most of the 3's focus has been on that sunny exterior, leaving its internal fortitude lacking. Without much moral strength or spiritual depth, a 3 can easily succumb to difficulties unless friends and family move in to support it. For the 3 to become a well-rounded, balanced and happy person, it must learn discipline. Some lucky 3s who exhibit talent early in life (such as gifted dancers or musical prodigies) are placed in an environment with just the sort of discipline that a 3 needs to protect these talents. Another unique quality of the 3 is its tendency to be "lucky," or rather, to be in the right place at the right time. This may be connected to its innate sense of rhythm; timing can be measured in seconds or in years, by the beating of a heart or by the movement of the stars. It is all only a matter of scale, either way, the 3 seems to be in tune with the cyclical nature of our surroundings. Relationships are a bit of a challenge for the 3 -- at least those that include long-term commitment and loyalty. With plenty of acquaintances (probably more than is healthy), when true depth and intimacy enters the picture, this "kid" turns tail and runs. The 3 has a nasty jealous streak, too, causing conflicts when those it has rejected move on in search of more meaningful bonds. This jealousy stems from the fact that the 3 knows, deep down inside, that it has only been skimming the surface of life since birth. As a result, the 3 feels a deeply hidden sense of insecurity, a sense that others know things that have thus far escaped the 3. This is not entirely incorrect and, when confronted with this reality, it leaves the 3 devastated and helpless. There is

perhaps nothing more painful than to watch the sunny, buoyant 3 crash into a vulnerable heap of self-pity. And yet, this can be the best thing ever to happen to this shallow creature, as this sometimes represents a turn-around. Once a 3 finds the motivation and enthusiasm to dig deeper into the realities of life (something that will only happen when it has had to confront itself), its happy surface has the potential to be replaced by the quiet serenity that only true wisdom brings. Such a "transformed" 3, rare as it is, is truly a thing to behold. No human being is ever represented by just one number, but rather is a mixture of several, if not all, of the numbers. Those who have been blessed with a heavy dose of 3s in their charts tend to have an easier time being happy, optimistic and playful creatures. However, this kind of "joie de vivre" can leave those same people unprepared for the more demanding experiences that life inevitably brings. And while the western mindset focuses on happy moments as the ideal, the unhappy experiences can be the ones that bring a much greater depth and quality to our lives. For the number 3, happiness may be easy to achieve, but is almost always a consequence of something materialistic or fleeting (a new car, a new relationship, a sunny day, etc.). A higher happiness, one that is not a consequence of any particular event but is truly the result of a deep appreciation towards life itself, is worth a million times more than the aforementioned shallow kind. The biggest challenge for the number 3 is to recognize this, to learn that the real beauty of life is found not in our possessions or illusions, but rather is hidden inside our fellow human beings. After all, it is being human that allows us the potential to experience what has been called the impossible achievement: to enter the realm where the mortal and the immortal meet. If the 3 can ever defy the odds to achieve this rare and amazing state of being, the fact that it has had to travel so far to reach such a height makes this number uniquely qualified to guide and help others reach the same goal.

THE NUMBER 4 THE SALT OF THE EARTH The 4 is without a doubt masculine, reflecting strength and stability. His chief characteristics are dependability, productivity, punctuality and obedience. He

is trustworthy, patient, conventional and a traditionalist. He is a bit boring and not much of a social person, preferring to toil in quiet obscurity. He works steadily and can be very persistent. He finds great satisfaction in his accomplishments and favors results over financial reward or public recognition. He is humble, dresses conservatively and blends in with his surroundings. He is average in looks, physically healthy and strong, neat and clean ... but unremarkable. He does not like to draw attention to himself, but will fight you tooth and nail if you try to muscle in on his territory. He believes in effort and control, and is certainly goal-oriented, but his goals are simple and down to earth. He is not a visionary, but notices every detail. He is capable, has an excellent memory and doesn't cut corners. He is the perfect employee, but doesn't tend to do well in social environments. If you look at the shape of the number 4, you will see that the hard angles are a proper symbolic representation of this rather straight-edged workaholic, who is neither creative nor artistic, but is good at working with his hands. Many craftsmen and skilled laborers have the 4 prominently in their charts. He is a good provider, but demands discipline and loyalty, and in some cases takes discipline too far. He can't handle chaos and is prone to panic attacks if it appears he might not have things fully under control. The 4 doesn't like to make waves, but values his moral convictions and will not back down when convinced that he is doing "the right thing." However, he can also be intolerant and, when faced with people from other cultures, countries or races, his insecurity can turn him into a cruel bigot. Many 4s choose a career in the military, where their obedient, disciplined nature is right at home. They especially thrive when they are assigned duties that include administrative and organizational work. As with any number, there are some contradicting traits within the 4. For instance, while he is not particularly social or fun-loving, the 4 sometimes reveals an entertainingly dry sense of humor. Further, although he is a strict and disciplined parent, the 4 is also extremely devoted and will walk through fire to get his kids what they need. My description of the 4 is, not surprisingly, almost the exact opposite of my description of the 3. This is to be expected, as every number is, in important ways, a counterpoint to the one that directly precedes it. The 2 is the polar

opposite of the 1, the 3 displays traits that are directly opposed to those of the 2, and so forth. And of course the differences between the 5 and the 4 are like night and day!

THE NUMBER 5 A DYNAMIC FORCE The number 5 is the most dynamic and energetic of all the single-digit numbers. It is unpredictable, always in motion and constantly in need of change. Although it is molded from an almost equal mix of masculine and feminine qualities, in general the 5 is slightly more feminine -- albeit a daring, tomboyish kind of feminine, with nothing demure or submissive about her. The 5 is extremely independent in mind and soul. She is an adventurer and a risk-taker who has a hard time staying in one place, in one job, in one house or in one relationship. Change is an absolute necessity, and yet the 5 is surprisingly loyal. The 2 and 6 are the most harmonious relationship numbers but either one will, when temptation is strong enough, cheat on his or her partner. The 5 will not. The 5 may break off a relationship due to her restless nature, but while in a relationship she will not deceive her partner. However, when she is not in a relationship she considers herself free to date anyone she chooses and has no problem going out with a different person every day of the week (and you better not try to tell her she should limit herself in any way, at least not if you want to stay on her good side). The 5 generally does not find a suitable career until she has tried a number of different jobs, many of them lasting barely long enough to warrant a full paycheck, especially if there is any kind of routine involved; boredom sets in almost immediately and the 5 simply cannot put up with anything predictable or repetitive. But again, the 5 will surprise her friends and family once she does find her niche, usually after age 30, as her focus, energy and quick mind help her scramble up the ladder faster and with less apparent effort than anyone else. Many 5s take up careers that require travel or otherwise offer a change of environment regularly, becoming tour guides, salespeople, small business owners, independent consultants, lawyers and so forth. The 5 can adjust quickly to pretty much anything coming her way, and that includes the work environment. On top of that, the 5 is usually tall and goodlooking, charming, and charismatic -- all qualities that support her in her career once she sets her mind to it. In addition, the 5 is versatile, adaptable, smart, progressive and tolerant. Anything conventional bores her, while she is

drawn to the eccentrics and misfits of society. She is a social creature, funny and uplifting, and very good at making others feel comfortable around her. She is generally well-liked and is often surrounded with friends and acquaintances. However, she also tends to polarize people and those that don't like her tend to be the uptight, self-righteous and judgmental kind. But perhaps the most dominating trait in the 5 is her uncompromising demand for freedom in thought and action. She makes up her own mind, rebels against any and all dogmas and ideologies, and does not allow herself to be absorbed into clubs, cults, religious sects or ideologies of any kind. Her adventurous, daredevil nature may get her to ride motorcycles but she will not ride with a large group. Chances are she will be rather opinionated and passionate about political issues, but she will not be a member of any party or be nailed down in any way. She changes her mind regularly, but never without good reason. She cannot be controlled but she is flexible and can be converted if the argument is solid and makes sense. She has a healthy sense of humor and doesn't sweat the little things, but she carries her heart on her sleeve and it is not at all uncommon for her to give her heart to the wrong person, as she is not the greatest judge of character. On the negative side, she can be selfish, thoughtless and irresponsible. She rarely considers the future beyond tomorrow or next week, and worrying is not in her nature. She tends to procrastinate and can be unreliable. However, the most common downfall for the 5 is a tendency to experiment with sex, drugs, alcohol and other weaknesses of the flesh. A desire for instant gratification can be her downfall; add to that a sense of invulnerability, lack of discipline and restraint, and you have a recipe for disaster. The shape of numbers reflects their nature, and just as the 4 is square and grounded, the 5 is a symbol of dynamic motion. The 4 is controlled, measured, synchronized, and static. The 5 is random energy, elastic and constantly in motion. THE NUMBER 6 THE CARETAKER While the 6 is considered the most harmonious of all single-digit numbers, it is not without its flaws and upsets. The most important influence of the 6 is

its loving and caring nature. Properly nicknamed the motherhood number, it is all about sacrificing, caring, healing, protecting and teaching others. No family or community can function without the power of the 6 to keep them together and safe. She is the glue that keeps a family or community together. There are, however, times when the 6 becomes too involved in the lives of those dear to her, to the point that she becomes intrusive and meddling. Other times, she takes her sacrificing nature too far and becomes a doormat to be abused and trampled on. Nonetheless, she is genuinely appreciated and adored in return. For this reason, the 6 is considered the only number harmonious with all other numbers. Creating an environment of peace and harmony is always her strongest impulse. In addition, she loves to teach and guide others, especially the young, old and less fortunate. The 6 is full of sympathy, and her sense of justice is well developed -- when she perceives injustice, she will sacrifice all her time and effort to set things straight. She almost always favors the underdog, and would never purposely hurt anyone, especially those she considers less fortunate. She has a strong sense of responsibility and can be counted on to do her fair share of the work. She can be demanding, but she is also able and willing to stay in the background when needed, working and caring without any expectation of reward. The 6 is idealistic, trusting and easy to take advantage of ... which can produce devastating results. She carries her heart on her sleeve and expects the same from others. The role of counselor and advisor comes naturally to her, and many will come to her to cry on her shoulder or to seek her down-toearth wisdom. The 6 carries herself well and moves gracefully, yet is warm, funny and jovial. When the 6 is on a career path, she generally goes a long way due, in part, to her sense of duty and responsibility -- but also because she is genuinely respected and well-liked. You will find many 6s in careers such as teaching, healing, counseling, construction, the legal field and law enforcement, especially prison guards. On the negative side, the 6 can be jealous and small-minded, tending to be more focused on the little details while ignoring the bigger pictures ... usually to her own detriment. She can be a bad judge of character, and has been

known to sacrifice herself to a cause or a person even while everyone around her tries to convince her that this cause or person is not worth it. The 6 is usually rather conventional and must learn to use her own mind instead of simply leaning on the opinions of those close to her. The 6 can also be smug and arrogant, especially toward authority figures or institutions. She can be annoyingly self-righteous and an intolerant religious zealot. The 6 sometimes suffers from anxiety and insecurity, even phobias. A disproportional number of people with OCD have the 6 prominent in their charts. The 6, while loving, caring and full of sympathy for others, is self-centered and egotistical at heart. If those at the receiving end of her care do not show the attention she craves, she can turn on them, even hurt them. The Munchhausen syndrome is a disorder typical to the negative 6. No number is without weaknesses and faults, but the 6 is actually the most harmonious and stable among the nine single digits. Yet, perhaps for that same reason, when the unusual happens and the 6 falls into discord and disharmony, it becomes possibly the most destructive and dangerous of all numbers. Beware of a cynical or angry 6 -- she is a merciless wolf in sheep's clothing.

THE NUMBER 7 THE PHILOSOPHER The numerological number 7 is the seeker, the thinker, the searcher of Truth (notice the capital "T"). The 7 doesn't take anything at face value -- it is always trying to understand the underlying, hidden truths. The 7 knows that nothing is exactly as it seems and that reality is often hidden behind illusions. A person who has a chart dominated by the 7 is usually easily picked out of a group. He will be somewhat introverted, perhaps shy (not to be confused with low self-esteem), never truly comfortable in social settings. The 7 is the intellectual, but his intellect is not always obvious, especially at an early age (as a child, Einstein was dyslexic and not particularly bright or a good student). His intelligence is that of a dreamer, an intellectual explorer of the obscure, the person who tends to have a somewhat off-beat perspective on the world around him. Many are interested in the metaphysical, not because they are believers, but because it allows access to the ambiguous, abstract world of

questions for which there are no clear answers. The number 7 is spiritual, but not religious. In fact, the age-old questions of what life is all about, why am we here, who am we, and so forth, never reach the status of clichés, but are essential to the 7's life-experience, and unless he finds the answers he will not stop looking for them until he dies. The number 7 can be aloof, hates gossip and is immune to small-minded backstabbing. Money means nothing to him and he will never make a choice or a decision based on an expected financial outcome. There is a dry, usually misunderstood sense of humor to the 7, yet he is unable to remember a single joke. He is not jovial and never superficial. He has excellent taste and a natural love and understanding of art. He dislikes and completely ignores fashion, and is attracted to eccentric, unpopular people. The popular "beautiful" but shallow people bore him to no end. He is not usually interested in politics but has a strong sense of justice. The number 7 is physically lanky and tall, but not athletic and doesn't care about sports. 7s are not warriors, but you may find some people with the 7 dominating their charts in the military, most likely as analysts or strategic planners. More often, however, you will find them in the world of academics and science. Police detectives, laboratory researchers and other careers where logical, methodical analysis of facts are the main requirements of the job. 7s are opinionated and tend to know something about everything, which can be annoying. They are not always honest, often choosing a more "interesting" truth than the actual truth. Many people are uncomfortable around a 7 due to penetrating eyes and the sense that even when he seems to be listening, he is actually analyzing the shape of your eyes and the crevices of your earlobes. The 7 tends to be a loner. Women with dominant sevens are often beautiful, if you can get past the granny glasses and the carelessly chosen clothes. They don't like to fuss in front of the mirror, but can be very charming and will take on a room full of men in any discussion, completely unconscious of the fact that many of them have something completely different in mind. On the negative side, the 7 can be cynical, verbally abusive, arrogant and oblivious of the pain and suffering of others. They can be cold-hearted and cruel showing a lack of empathy. Other people's problems simply don't interest them, yet when it comes to their own troubles, they expect everyone

to feel for them. They are terrible and demanding patients, exasperating know-it-alls and just plain inconsiderate and boorish. They can be selfish and anti-social. What is unique about the 7 is that his (or her) mind is his greatest tool and, at the same time, his greatest limitation. Rational, flexible and hungry for knowledge, the mind of the 7 goes places other numbers rarely attain. His imagination is vast and powerful, which helps to guide him into the spiritual stratosphere few people ever reach -- but it is always mental and rational, never divine. The satisfaction and happiness he finds from mental explorations allows him to spend long hours in solitude and enjoy it. Yet, at the same time, he puts too much faith in the power of the mind, thereby limiting the potential humans have in experiencing the essence of life, as it can be experienced only in feeling and not in words. It is said that if you can speak the Tao, you do not know the Tao; if you can speak the Word, you do not know the Word -- life in its purest form can only be felt and experienced, never rationalized. For the 7 to reach a height of spiritual wisdom, it must, as all others, travel beyond the limitations of the mind and allow divine silence to spill its secrets. It is the essence of the number 7 that most symbolizes our struggle to know and understand. As I've previously mentioned, my descriptions of the single digit numbers are extreme and no human being exists who reflects only one number. I am trying to convey an intuitive and mental connection with the personalities of the single digit numbers; an understanding that eventually brings you to know numbers not because you have memorized a string of attributes and traits, but because you know each one like you would a close friend or family member - to the point that you can predict how he or she would respond under certain circumstances.

THE NUMBER 8 BALANCE & POWER The number 8 is perhaps the most misunderstood of all single-digit numbers, as novices and professionals alike always seem to hammer on the "money and power" image of the 8. More often than not, when a client requests a name change consultation, it means he or she wants to add 8s to his or her chart in the mistaken belief that it will bring money and power.

It is true that the number 8, more than any other number, puts the emphasis in the areas of career, business, finances and authority. However, as with many other single-digit numbers, the shape of the number reflects its most important attribute, and in the case of the number 8, that is, first and foremost, balance. The 8 is the great Karmic equalizer, a force that just as easily creates as it destroys. When the 8 comes knocking, you can be assured that you will reap what you've sown. The 8 balances the material and immaterial worlds. At its best, it is as spiritual as it is materialistic. The spiritual side of the 8 is practical, realistic and intelligent. It knows the difference between make-believe and genuine spiritual realizations. On the material plane, it is focused on results, often in the form of money, yet does not care much about money for the sake of money. It is not greedy, it sees money as a tool, not an end-result. It is generous and willing to take risks. People with strong 8s in their charts often make and lose fortunes a couple of times during their life. They never consider bankruptcy a reason to slow down or feel sorry, but, rather, come out stronger and more success-oriented than before. Some of the more recognizable traits of the 8 are drive, ambition, authority, efficiency, organization, management, discipline and control. The 8 is goaloriented, focused, has good judgment, can discriminate and is practical, a realist. Its closest relative is the 1 as both numbers are powerful, have strong leadership skills, are unquestionably masculine and will not shy away from a confrontation. However, where the 1 lacks diplomatic skills and an understanding of human nature -- more typically the traits of the 2 -- the 8 has those abilities as well, which is perhaps the most important reason the 8 tends to do well in business and in authority roles (the military and law enforcement draw a lot of 8s). When the 8 appears in your personality profile chart, it indicates the presence of the character traits mentioned earlier, as well as the potential to be very successful and prosperous -- hence the reason so many people like to manipulate their charts to add one or more 8s. However, the energy of the 8 needs to be supported by other numbers in order to flourish, such as the 4 to help you keep an eye on the all-important details, and the 9 to keep you in touch with your humanity. So be careful what you ask for. If you decide to change your name to add one or more 8s to

your chart, and the rest of your chart does not support this strong force, you may come to inherit more of its negative powers like frustration, dissatisfaction, anger, aggression, greed, intolerance, hate and insomnia. A higher-than-average percentage of 8s find their way into the top echelons of society, but you will also find a disproportionate number of 8s among the homeless. If the 8 appears in your cycles, especially your Essence cycle, there is an increase in energy and focus, a sense of "can do," and enhanced selfconfidence. The shape of the 8 shows balance, but it also shows confidence, as it looks you right in the eye. A positive 8 is honest to a fault, generous and forgiving. They are physically imposing and often athletic, especially good in sports requiring strength and endurance. They are not particularly romantic, as they prefer a practical and straight-forward approach, but they are loving and more than carry their weight. As with all single-digit numbers, the 8 has a positive and a negative side. However, one of the mysteries of Numerology is that there is a small number of people who, from an early age on and for no discernible reason, seem to turn the exact opposite direction of what their charts indicate. The key word here is "seem." This phenomenon is found with all numbers, but appears to affect 8s more than others. There are quite a few people whose charts are dominated with 8s who become priests, missionaries, humanitarians and so forth, but those sacrificing and loving souls do still tend to be good at fundraising, money management and authority.

THE NUMBER 9 GLOBAL AWARENESS Ordinarily, I try to keep the math to a minimum when I discuss an aspect of Numerology. In the case of the number 9, however, the math highlights a philosophical observation that is unique, interesting and very revealing. So bear with me, please, because from a purely mathematical perspective, the 9 stands apart. Here is why: When you multiply any number by 9, then add the resulting digits and reduce them to a single digit, it always becomes a 9. For example, 6 x 9 = 54, reduce 54 to a single digit by adding them together: 5 + 4 = 9. Similarly, 8 x 9 = 72, and 7 + 2 = 9. Or 23 x 9 = 207, 2 + 0 + 7 = 9, and so forth. There is nothing

coincidental about this peculiarity. Try it. Any number, no matter how large, multiplied by 9 reduces to 9. From a numerological perspective, the 9 simply takes over, like the infamous body snatchers. Any number that was initially increased by a factor of 9 loses its own identity and instead takes on the characteristics of the 9. No other number has that quality. A different, but no less distinctive and revealing, attribute of the 9 is that when you add (as opposed to multiply) it to any other number, then reduce that number to a single digit, it always comes back to itself, as if nothing was added at all. For example, 5 + 9 = 14, 1 + 4 = 5. Or 7 + 9 = 16, 1 + 6 = 7. 24 (which reduces to 6) + 9 = 33, 3 + 3 = 6. Again, have some fun, try it on a bunch of numbers. This, from a numerological perspective, is actually the exact opposite of what happens when you use the 9 to multiply, because when adding it, increasing the amount by 9, it does not change anything to its initial single digit value. When multiplying, the 9 takes over ... when adding, the 9 does nothing. For a math junkie like myself, with a philosophical streak to match, this is pure beauty. It symbolically touches at the core of the magic that underlies this creation. But enough about math, let's look at the personality of this unique number. The last of the cardinal numbers, the 9 is the worldliest and sophisticated of all numbers. The 9 has some similarities with the 6. However, whereas the 6 as a symbol of motherly (or fatherly) love, giving its love and care to friends, family and the immediate community, the 9 offers it to the world at large; the 9, more than any other number, has global consciousness. Looking at the shape of the symbol is, as always, quite telling. The 9 is like the 6 upside down, a symbol of her offering sympathy and compassion to everyone; a reservoir of giving with a generous downward spout. The 9 lives in the world and understands the connections between all of mankind. It is a humanitarian, and sees no real difference between its neighbor next door and the person living in a very different culture and environment on the other side of the world. The 9 is the least judgmental of all numbers, the most tolerant and the most conscious. Neither specifically masculine or feminine, the 9 seems more feminine, in large part, because she is so loving and empathetic. She walks like a queen, tall and statuesque, yet feels closely connected with the rest of mankind. At the same time, she is hard to reach, seems aloof and tends to float above the

small-minded issues that can be so upsetting to others. You either love her or loathe her, but you can't deny her the respect she demands. She has impeccable taste, is talented and creative, and can be quite eloquent when she expresses herself. The 9 is called the "Mother Theresa" number, because when she sees injustice or suffering, she will not hesitate to devote herself to rectifying it. More importantly, she will not dedicate any energy towards receiving credit for her actions; the purity of math that is manifested when she adds to the lives of others is mirrored in the way she goes about doing good: she will not force herself upon others. But when circumstances require, she can be a powerful force, strong enough to take over and bend others to her will (just as she does when she is used to multiply any other number; she takes complete control). Yet she is not a leader in the way both the 1 and the 8 are leaders; her leadership qualities are in the higher realms of philosophy and justice. She changes your mind! The 9 is often prosperous, but this is one of those contradictions that actually makes sense and illustrates the true nature of the 9 clearly: where the 8 becomes financially successful by focusing on the potential reward from certain undertakings, the 9 earns her financial rewards by completely and utterly ignoring the monetary potential of an endeavor; the exact opposite of the 8. As for matters of the heart, the 9 is not particularly romantic. She is an impossible lover, not because she is demanding, which she is also, but because you never know to what extent you have managed to reach her. She hides her heart, and even after knowing her for many years, the connection still seems a bit distant. She is a loyal friend but will not allow herself to become vulnerable. The most telling attribute of the 9 is the always subtle and hard to pinpoint sense that there is more to her than meets the eye. A correct observation; she has depth and intuition, and is at all times aware of her surroundings, like a person with over-developed peripheral vision. As with any number, the 9 has a dark side. She can be condescending, arrogant, cold and apathetic towards the suffering of others. When the 9 shows her dark side, it is egotistic, cruel, immoral and completely untouchable. And unfortunately, it is easy for a 9 to fall into the dark side, like when she perceives herself to have been the victim of an injustice, then

she can be vindictive, unforgiving and malicious. When the 9 appears as a cycle, it often denotes a finality, the completion of an era. The 9 as a cycle is frequently seen as an indicator of death. This is simplistic and wrong. What one or more 9 cycles does suggest is that you are in the final stages of a period or endeavor, that you need to empty your bucket and prepare for the new and that there are opportunities to make a difference. In Personal Year cycles, the 9 is always followed by the 1, and every time you go through that two-year phase, you go through a transformation of some kind. Look at any period in your life when you went through a 9 Personal Year followed by a 1 Personal Year and you will see that this is true. Then look at your Essence and Transit cycles to learn what the fundamental nature of that transformation was.

The Meaning of double Digit Numbers So far, we have worked only with single-digit numbers in your chart, with the exception of the Master numbers and the Karmic Debt numbers. Now, let's look at the numbers 10 and up. Every one of the cardinal numbers can be based on several different compound numbers. The 7, for instance, can be based on 16, 25, 34, 43, 52, 61, or 70. (It cannot be based on 79 or 88 except indirectly, because 79 and 88 are 16.) When a 7 is based on 25, it is slightly different from a 7 based on 34 or 61. For this reason, I have made it a habit to include the double-digit numbers in the chart. I write a 7 based on 25 in this manner: 25/7; and a 7 based on 34 like this: 34/7. Now that you have come this far in the book, your understanding of the meaning of numbers is sufficient to analyze the double-digit numbers. A double-digit number's characteristics are dominated by that of the single digit it represents. First and foremost, it is that cardinal number. The double-digit number highlights certain aspects, and diminishes others, but it never eliminates any aspect completely. You may want to study the double-digit numbers in your personal chart to see if you can gain additional insight or clarity. For example, a 7 based on 25 is not as withdrawn as a 7 based on a 16. A 7 based on 34 is more creative that the 7 based on a 25. The already considerable leadership ability of a 1 is enhanced in the 10. As a rule, numbers that are dividable by 10 strengthen the characteristics of the single-digit number across the board. A 10 is a high octave 1, a 40 is a high octave 4, and a 70 is a high octave 7. Below is a short description of double-digit numbers 10 through 99. As an exercise, you may want to contemplate a few double-digit numbers, then see if you picked the same main points as those described below. KARMIC DEBT NUMBERS Numerology is based on the ancient idea that each of us is a spiritual being who incarnates on the earth to further evolve toward higher states of awareness. During our long evolutionary path, we have accumulated a wealth of wisdom, and have made many positive choices that benefit us in the future. We have also made mistakes, and have sometimes abused the gifts we have been given. To rectify such errors, we may take on an additional burden in order to learn a particular lesson that we failed to learn previously. In numerology, this burden is called a Karmic Debt. The numbers that indicate a Karmic Debt are 13, 14, 16, and 19. These double-digit numbers take on great significance when they are found in the core numbers (the most important numbers including the Life Path, Expression, Heart's Desire (or Soul Urge), Personality, and Birth Day), and in the various cycles during the course of your lifetime. Each has its own unique characteristics, and its own particular difficulties. When you are calculating your chart - especially you core numbers and different cycles - you may encounter the numbers 1, 4, 5, or 7. These singledigit numbers can be arrived at by adding a variety of two-digit numbers. The number 1 can be arrived at, for example, by combining the double-digit numbers of 10 (1 + 0 = 1), 19, 28, 37, 46 - all of which total to 10, and then to 1. However, only in the case of 19 is a Karmic Debt indicated. Karmic Debts are also associated with the numbers 4, 5, and 7. Karmic Debt numbers can be preceded by an array of two-digit numbers, but when the 4 is preceded by a 13; or when the 5 is preceded by a 14; or the 7 by a 16; a Karmic Debt is also read as part of the single-digit interpretation. A Karmic Debt can be found in different places in the chart. As a result of totals based on your date of birth, for instance, or calculations based on the letters of your name. This means that two people with a 16 Karmic Debt that is located in different places in the chart, express it very differently. Thus, all I can do is lay out the general characteristics of the Karmic Debt, and some broad guidelines for dealing with it.

KARMIC DEBT NUMBER 13 Those with the 13 Karmic Debt will work very hard to accomplish any task. Obstacles stand in their way, and must be overcome time and again. One may often feel burdened and frustrated by the seeming futility of one's efforts there may be a desire to surrender to the difficulties and simply give up on the goal, believing it was impossible to attain in the first place. Some with the 13 Karmic Debt fall to laziness and negativity. But efforts are not futile, and success is well within reach. One simply must work hard, and persevere in order to reach the goal. Many highly successful people in all walks of life, including business, art, and athletics, have a 13 Karmic Debt. The key to succeeding with the 13 is focus. Very often, people with the 13 Karmic Debt do not concentrate or direct their energies in one specific direction, or on a single task, but scatter their energies over many projects and jobs, none of which amount to very much. A temptation with the 13 is to take shortcuts for quick success. Too often, that easy success doesn't come, causing regret and the desire to give up. The result is a poor self-image, and the belief that one is incapable of amounting to very much. In order to focus, you must maintain order in your life. Order is essential to success. You must maintain a schedule, keep appointments, and follow through. Keep your environment neat and under control, and never procrastinate. If you sustain a steady and consistent effort, you will realize much reward.

KARMIC DEBT NUMBER 14 The 14 Karmic Debt arises from previous lifetimes during which human freedom has been abused. Those with a 14 Karmic Debt are forced to adapt to ever-changing circumstances and unexpected occurrences. There is an acute danger of falling victim to abuse of drugs, alcohol, and overindulgence in sensual pleasures, such as food and sex. You must put the reins on yourself. Modesty in all affairs is crucial to overcoming this Karmic Debt. Also important is the need to maintain order in life, and to establish one's own emotional stability. you must also be willing to adapt to the unexpected occurrences of life, all the while maintaining your focus on your goals and dreams. Flexibility and adaptability are at the very core of this struggle.

Orderliness in one's immediate environment is crucial to maintaining clarity and focus. Mental and emotional stability must be attained in order to avoid being thrown about by the changing fortunes in the external environment. But the key to the 14 Karmic Debt is commitment. Life will resemble a roller coaster ride, but it will always travel in the right direction if one's heart is set on what is true and good. Set yourself a high goal, maintain order wherever possible in your life, avoid excessive sensory indulgence, and maintain faith. Above all, do not give up on your dreams and goals. Those with the 14 Karmic Debt will experience life to the fullest, and as long as they maintain a high dream, they will achieve success and great spiritual development. KARMIC DEBT NUMBER 16 The 16 Karmic Debt - wherever it shows up on the chart - means destruction of the old and birth of the new. The 16 is about the fall of the ego, and all that it has built for itself. It is a watershed, a cleansing. All that has been constructed, and all that serves to separate the person from the source of life is destroyed. Through the 16, reunion with the great spirit is accomplished. This can be a painful process, because it usually comes after much ego inflation. This results in a struggle between the ego and the divine will. Life presents challenges to your grand plans, which can be resented and struggled against. It is a lost battle, and you will likely feel humbled in the face of the collapse that follows. This humility is the key to later success, however, because you will learn to follow the intimations of a higher reality. In the destruction of the old, a spiritual rebirth takes place with an entirely new awareness. This rebirth affects every area of your life. It is a life much the better for the fall. Those with the 16 Karmic Debt must be careful of egotism. Very often, those with the 16 use their highly intuitive and refined intellect to look down upon others, and view the rest of the world as inferior. This causes acute alienation and loneliness. In addition, it invites retribution, for the egotist is humbled more harshly than any other. When the 16 is in one of the core numbers, this process of destruction and rebirth is a continual cycle that actually serves to bring you into higher consciousness and closer union with the source of life.

The 16 Karmic Debt can be a path of progress and great spiritual growth if it is looked at properly. One develops great faith by placing one's life in the hands of God. Through such faith, gratitude and peace are firmly established.

KARMIC DEBT NUMBER 19 The person with the 19 Karmic Debt will learn independence and the proper use of power. You will be forced to stand up for yourself, and often be left to stand alone. Difficulties will be faced and overcome through personal struggle. One of the central lessons for people with the 19 Karmic Debt is that you stubbornly resist help. Much of your independence is self-imposed; you simply don't want to listen to others, or to accept the help or advice of others. The 19 Karmic Debt can become a self-imposed prison if you do not open up to the reality of interdependence, and the mutual need for love. The most important lesson for the 19 Karmic Debt is: While you seek to stand on your own feet, you are still a human being, deeply connected with others and in need of the support, assistance, and human understanding that all people need. Those with the 19 Karmic Debt will learn the hard way that "no man is an island," and that we are, indeed, "all bits of the main!"

Triangle of Enlightenment Numerology reduces all multi-digit numbers to the single-digit numbers 1 through 9 with the exception of the three Master numbers 11, 22 and 33. These three Master numbers in many cases are not reduced and have a specific set of attributes that sets them apart from all other numbers. Numerology enthusiasts and practitioners have always been especially excited about Master numbers because, as the name implies, they represent something above and beyond the mundane. However, in the last couple of decades, some numerologists have adopted all double-digit numbers with identical digits (44, 55, 66 …) as Master numbers, probably because the mysterious nature of Master numbers tickles our sensationalist nature. This is truly unfortunate, not only because it is incorrect, but also because it diminishes our understanding of the true Master numbers. Yes, it is correct to state that all double-digit numbers with identical digits are powerful for the simple reason that a combination of duplicate numbers, more or less doubles, the influence of the single digit. For example, the number 44 would have double the influence of a single 4, the number 55 doubles the influence of a single 5 and so forth. However, with the three true Master numbers, their power is not just based on the simple fact that they consist of identical digits, but because those digits are the 1, the 2, and the 3, respectively. In the case of the 11 (a double 1), it has the traits and personality of the 1 twice, and when added (11 = 1+1 = 2) becomes a 2, thereby combining the most powerful male energy (the 1, Zeus) with the equally potent female energy (the 2, Hera). Considering that the 1 and the 2 are on opposite ends of the spectrum and the sum of their combined attributes pretty much overshadows all other attributes assigned to the numbers 3 through 9 you can perhaps imagine a merging of the strongest, most driven and aggressive warrior, an unstoppable masculine energy, with the supremacy of the most intuitive, feminine, and cunning goddess. And even that does not reveal the true essence of the 11 Master number: The 11 symbolizes the potential to push the limitations of the human experience into the stratosphere of the highest spiritual perception; the link between the

mortal and the immortal; between man and spirit; between darkness and light; ignorance and enlightenment. This is the ultimate symbolic power of the 11. Similarly, the Master number 22 combines a double dose of feminine intuitive power as represented by the 2, with the ultimate capacity to make dreams into reality; the domain of the 4. And again, the result is not just a range of attributes stacked to impressive potential, but the true essence of the 22: The ability to experience all that the 11 has to offer and apply it to the material world. Finally, the Master number 33 combines the most proficient powers of expression (the 3) with the teacher and caregiver par excellence; the 6. Its true essence is the final word in spiritual evolution; the Master Teacher. This, the ability to reach spiritual enlightenment (the 11), makes it a reality in the material world (the 22), then uses it to lift others into enlightenment (the 33), reflecting the enormity of the gift of human life as symbolized by the three Master numbers. Which brings me to the heart of this article: the secret lesson of the 11, a revelation you will not find in any Numerology book or article. Just as Numerology uses adding numbers, it also subtracts numbers looking for the difference between them -- generally revealing what are called challenges or obstacles, and shortcomings you have to overcome. They represent the gaps between the stepping stones, bridges we have to build in order to continue on our path. In the case of the three Master numbers, the gap between 11 and 22 is 11 and the gap between 22 and 33 is also 11. This tells us that in order to move from the height of spiritual understanding as symbolized by the 11, we need to reach an even higher and more rounded experience of divine insight before we can apply our spiritual maturity in the material world, as reflected by the 22. And the final step, the ultimate divine reality of reaching the level of a true Master requires another superhuman boost of divine realization, this one symbolized by the number 33.

SUN NUMBERS Numerology's Sun Numbers are the anchors and pivotal points around which we find the Personal Year, Month, and Day cycles We all have heard the phrase "Hey Baby ... what’s your sign?" And the Average Joe on the street could most likely tell you their astrological Sun sign (or zodiac sign). Your astrological Sun sign is intended to describe your personality on a basic level. On a calendar cycle (12 months, 12 signs), your zodiac sign is based on the actual DAY of your birth, and is easy to determine when you know just the month and day. In Numerology, there is the same classification of personality traits. We call it your "Sun Number." Also based on the day and month you were born, your Sun Number is represented by a single-digit number, 1 - 9. Your number (and those of your friends) is easy to calculate (see below). More importantly it describes your personality traits and those of similar Sun Numbers at a high and simplified level. By looking at the combined numbers of the day and month of birth, Numerology deduces the first pattern of your existence -- the day you entered this world.

The Sun Number is considered the first and less detailed pattern of who you are. Obviously, the world is made up millions and billions of unique individuals. However, the Sun Number brings our high-level characters and categorizes them into 9 groups (similar to Astrology’s 12 zodiac signs). And like in Astrology, as you provide more and more details of the day of your birth and your name, you uncover the underpinnings of what makes you, not just a Sun Number, but a truly unique and complex person. How does the Sun Number work with other numbers in my Numerology chart? Within the dynamic environment of personal and universal cycles affecting you in different ways, constantly bringing change and sometimes chaos, your Sun Number is your anchor. Think of it as the location where you stand, while everything around you is in motion. Your Sun Number also reveals how you approach the changing cycles and how they tend to influence you.

For example, if your Sun Number is 1, you tend to take opportunities and challenges head on. You don't hesitate, you don't back down, and you generally don't ask for help. On the other hand, if your Sun Number is 2, you tend to deal with changing circumstances by carefully weighing the pros and cons, asking others for their opinions, and then, when you are ready, you take the necessary steps. The most strongly felt yearly cycles are the Personal Year cycles. Your Personal Year cycles, in turn, form the basis for your Personal Month cycles, which produce your Personal Day cycles, also called Your Daily Number (When you read numerology horoscopes, they are always based on the Personal Year, Month, and Day cycles.)These Personal Cycles are calculated based on your Sun Number; your Sun Number is therefore viewed as the center of your cycles. Understanding our Numerological footing is the key to controlling our future and not being victims of what is ahead of us. You have several other unique numbers at play in your entire Numerological profile, including your Life Path, Hidden Passion, Pinnacle numbers and many more. Your Sun Number is just the start! Give the pattern a test run -- ask your friends “What’s your SUN NUMBER?” and see if they fit the profile! Your Sun Number is easy to calculate and never changes. Simply add your month and day of birth, and reduce to a single digit (reduce Master numbers to a single digit as well). For example, if you were born May 15, add 5 (for May) and 15, is 20, which reduces to 2 (2 + 0). If you were born November 23, add 11 (for November) and 23, is 34. Reduce 34 by adding 3 and 4 to find the Sun Number 7. Keep in mind that, as with all numbers found in your Numerology chart, the influence is limited to the area that they affect. The Sun Number tends to dominate only your attitude toward changes, especially when they are unexpected.

SUN NUMBER 1 People with a Sun Number 1 tend to have a stubborn, headstrong approach to

changing circumstances. They often take the bull by the horns with a "damn the torpedoes" attitude. Strong and motivated, 1s are not afraid of confrontations. And at times, 1s can be too impulsive. 1s have energy to spare, with enough stamina to survive even the toughest times. However, there is a limit to what they can do, and when a person with Sun Number 1 reaches that limit, they tend to shatter without much advance warning. And once they crash, it takes a long time to pick up the pieces and start the healing. Sun Number 1s respond quickly, but don't always recognize the true nature of upcoming changes until they have already set things in motion. A 1 should learn to recognize the subtle signs that usually appear ahead of the storm. Pride can be the downfall of this headstrong number. Successful Sun Number 1s have learned the need to be humble and remember that much has been given to them. In love, the Sun Number 1 is passionate, but needs to dominate -- and it has a bit of jealous streak. While the 1 Sun Number is original and creative, it could use a subtler and romantic approach. The 1 is anything but intuitive and has a tendency to misread his or her partner. The 1 Sun Number can be quite demanding, yet it is also extremely protective of its partner. The one trait that is pretty much guaranteed to ruin a relationship with the 1 is when he or she feels a lack of respect or sense that he or she is being taken for granted. Otherwise, the 1 has a thick skull and an even thicker skin. You can be as direct as you want to be -- the 1 can handle it.

SUN NUMBER 2 People with a Sun Number 2 take a careful and deliberate approach to changes. Weighing the pros and the cons, 2s consider future consequences, then, and only then, they make their moves. 2 personalities tend to avoid direct confrontations, preferring instead to apply tact and diplomacy. They have no trouble drawing support from others, and share their troubles and their

successes easily. Sun Number 2s are intuitive and often sense changes before they become evident. Understanding of human nature and a cunning intellect generally serves this number well. But if not careful, it is this trait that could easily tempt a 2 into conning others into doing things they later regret. 2s have a good sense of timing, which is a key survival skill. However, they often surrender to the inevitable quickly and sometimes allow themselves to be beaten down without much of a fight. But a 2's strength is resilient and they will quickly rise again. Sun Number 2s are sympathetic to the plight of others, but if tempted, they can easily fall prey to selfish and greedy tendencies. When it comes to love, the 2 Sun Number is a highly intuitive, sensitive and romantic partner who should be handled with kid's gloves. The 2 is emotionally vulnerable in general, but especially in romance. The 2 looks right through anything that is not sincere and genuine, so playing games with a 2 will get you in hot water. At the same time, while typically against confrontation (preferring diplomacy and tact over the in-your-face approach), the 2 has a hard edge as well -- one that allows it to take a stand and not budge toward a compromise. The 2 Sun Number is highly sensual and tends to put his or her partner first. Not particularly passionate, the 2 still knows how to please -- and how to be pleased. Always keep in mind that the 2 is fragile, and if you break it, you will have to deal with some dangerously sharp fragments.

SUN NUMBER 3 People with a Sun Number 3 are innovative and creative. They think outside the box and find solutions quickly. Bubbling with optimism, a 3 person typically has a childish streak that lets them avoid their responsibilities, especially those that demand effort and attention. 3s tend to be loved by many, but often their own love for others tends to be somewhat superficial. Sun Number 3s like to skate the surface, using their considerable sense of humor to keep things light and sunny. However, when hit by one of life's

more serious challenges, a 3 will surprise everyone by displaying a lot more endurance, courage and determination than anyone expected -- including themselves. Hands down, creativity is a 3's biggest asset when it comes to taking advantage of opportunities, or overcoming obstacles. Unfortunately, the effort level doesn't always live up to it. As a result, 3s leave quite a few unfinished projects, unfulfilled dreams, and empty promises behind in their path. Successful Sun Number 3s have learned to focus and be disciplined in how they approach changing circumstances. When a 3 does manage to push something all the way to its goal, that accomplishment tends to be enormously satisfying. In love, the 3 Sun Number may appear somewhat superficial and flaky when it gets involved in a romantic relationship, but that's just hiding a more serious undertone. The 3 Sun Number tends to be a happy, upbeat number, but also understands how vulnerable that happiness can be. For that reason, they dread pessimism and negativity, and approach any major change in life - which a romantic relationship can be -- with caution. Sun Number 3s have no trouble entering into a romantic relationship they know is not meant to last. In fact, the 3 can certainly become a bit promiscuous, but when a 3 senses that it might become more serious, he or she will back off. The way to get a 3 to commit to a long-term relationship is by being patient and absolutely not demanding.

SUN NUMBER 4 People with a Sun Number 4 are sticklers for details and take a systematic, efficient approach to whatever comes their way. They are solid and stable, and it takes a major change to knock a 4 off his or her feet. However, 4s have a dislike of changes, preferring to maintain the status quo. For that reason, they are not always quick to catch on. 4s will most likely miss opportunities because they waited too long. Their biggest asset is the willingness to put forth considerable effort. 4s are not procrastinators and tend to apply themselves with focus and dedication. Demanding much from themselves, 4s are not satisfied until they

are the best at what they do. Sometimes this passion for perfection can make a 4 easily frustrated and not much fun to be around when they are working. 4s struggle with the concept of relaxation and tend to be all work and no play. A less desirable quality of a 4 Sun Number is that they can be cruel and lack empathy. However, what others don’t know is that they are equally as demanding of themselves as they are of others. It isn't so much that 4s are materialistic, but that they consider accomplishments to be the crux of all existence. Successful Sun Number 4s have learned to accept that nothing is guaranteed in life, and that if you want to fulfill your dreams, you may have to take a risk every now and then. The 4 Sun Number is comfortable and secure in most settings ... with the exception of romance. In love, the grounded 4 just doesn't know how to handle itself when the earth falls away and love takes it to the sky. It takes time for a 4 Sun Number to reveal what is in his or her heart. However, once they fall in love, the 4 tends to stay in love. They are not particularly passionate, nor are they sensual, but they more than make up for that with the intensity of their devotion. If you are on the receiving end of a 4 Sun Number's affections, you will never have to worry about its depth or the strength of its commitment. Solid as a rock, the 4 Sun Number will always be there for you.

SUN NUMBER 5 Of all the different Sun Numbers, the 5 is the one best equipped to deal with changes. Not only that, 5s thrive on them, because they tend to operate best in an environment that is both dynamic and somewhat chaotic. Sun Number 5s don't do well following a carefully planned path and are much better at responding to the moment. 5s are adrenalin junkies at heart. They love to travel and move about. A typical 5 is social, enjoys the company of others, and prefers to take a road they have not driven or walked before, even if that means making a bit of detour. Sun Number 5s really don't like routine, or anything predictable for that matter. They have a wild streak and lack discipline. This can cause problems in the form of addiction or self-indulgence.

The most obvious short-coming of is 5 is their dislike of stability and responsibility. Successful Sun Number 5s have learned to dedicate their energy without wasting it on short-lived goals. The Sun Number 5 in Numerology is flexible, freedom-loving, dynamic, and a little dangerous When it comes to romance, the 5 Sun Number is the most sensual and passionate of all numbers. In a romantic relationship, the 5 surprises everyone. As wild and adventurous as the 5 is in almost all areas of life, it becomes just as serious and committed when the heart is touched. The 5 is loyal to a fault, and while it is sometimes found on the receiving end of a cheating relationship, it is almost never the cheater. It is, of course, in the nature of the 5 Sun Number to try everything and everyone first, and for that reason, they usually don't become involved in a serious relationship until relatively late in life. But once the heart, as opposed to certain other body parts, is touched, the 5 no longer plays, but becomes a stable, focused and fully matured partner. Nothing bothers a 5 more than being taken for granted, or being limited in any form. Freedom is a 5’s most prized asset, and they will do anything to keep it. 5s are not good at long-term relationships, but when they are in one, they are loyal and fun. Their adventurous personality makes them sensual and they appreciate the good things of life.

SUN NUMBER 6 People with a Sun Number 6 are the most harmonious of all Sun Numbers They have a tendency to ignore their own needs and desires in favor of helping and teaching others. They are the glue that binds. Their ability to love is what makes others love and respect them. People with a Sun Number 6 are born caregivers. Stable and level-headed, they deal well with changes. However, a 6 can be annoyingly self-righteous and may have a tendency to claim a spot on the totem pole before they have earned it. 6s can also be a bit short-sighted, lacking the ability to see the larger picture. 6s take their responsibilities seriously, perhaps a bit too seriously. Many

people with a 6 Sun Number gravitate toward careers in construction and transportation. This is quite telling, as their inner nature is a bit like that -- a closed and restricted environment with peepholes to the outside world. A 6’s strongest asset is their good and down-to-earth humanity. They are idealists, but not without a sense of realism. They can be very patient, especially when it comes to working toward a far-away goal. Often, 6s consider their own little pond to be all there is in the world. From an early age, Sun Number 6 personalities are fascinated and drawn to organized belief systems. As a result, they have adopted parts and pieces of dogmas and concepts that potentially restrict their vision. Successful Sun Number 6s must learn to occasionally step out of their environment, and escape the safety net of a potentially narrow view of life. And when it comes to romance, the 6 Sun Number takes love as seriously as it takes everything else. The most loving and harmonious of all numbers, the 6 gives itself fully and without restraint. At the same time, to the surprise and detriment of its partner, the 6 can be rather promiscuous, due to the simple fact that it doesn't always know how not to give of itself. The 6 Sun Number has broken more hearts than any other Sun Number, but it has also brought great pleasure and happiness to more lovers, albeit not always long-lived, than any other number. When the 6 can learn to give more, and to give more of itself, this giving nature becomes the biggest strength of the 6 Sun Number. If you are lucky enough to be the last lover standing, the 6 will care for you and love you like no other.

SUN NUMBER 7 The world of philosophy and spiritual awareness is a 7’s domain. People with the Sun Number 7 don't take anything at face value and tend to search for a deeper meaning in everything. Changes don't bother a 7, but the seeming apathy for change sometimes means they don’t get the attention they require. A 7 may be an introvert hiding an extrovert or vice versa, either way, both sides exist within this person. They are dreamers, but not materialistic; their dreams are more utopian and lofty.

Few things bother a Sun Number 7 more than being in an environment of superficial lightweights and noisy extroverts. They know there is nothing to be found there but wasted time and energy. Often opinionated to a fault, 7s tend to have a handful of close friends, while everyone else is a stranger. Interestingly, while they tend to control, if not hide, their emotional side, many with a 7 Sun Number choose the fields of psychology and psychiatry. 7s are extremely curious and have a scholarly nature, but not a conventional one. In fact, there is very little conventional about a 7, as they are often more eccentric. Successful Sun Number 7s have learned to embrace their emotions. Not everything can be solved by the mind alone. The Sun Number 7 in Numerology is the seeker, the philosopher, the searcher of truth In love, the Sun Number 7 is often a late bloomer. Its interests are mostly on the spiritual and intellectual planes, not so much the physical. So when a 7 finally falls in love, it doesn't really know how to handle it, and as a result, tends to try for a platonic relationship first. Fortunately, once the ice is broken and the physical side of the romance comes to life, the 7 proves to be a great lover, extremely giving and caring and focused on one thing and one thing only: the happiness of its partner. As with anything else the 7 tries, it will work on becoming the best, and the 7 is no different in romance. The 7 is very considerate and, a truly invaluable asset, conscious of the needs and expectations of its partner. The Sun Number 7 tends to fall in love much less often than any of the other numbers, but when it happens, it takes over and becomes its first and foremost priority.

SUN NUMBER 8 People with the Sun Number 8 have an authoritarian streak and like to be in charge at all times. Unfortunately, changes can't always be controlled, and when they feel they don't have control, watch out! They become agitated and angry. An 8 can be aggressive, if not bullish, and they have paid a price for that more than once. They are capable and smart, and often able to see the larger picture well

before anyone else does. A sense of balance allows 8s to deal with the material world without the kind of attachment most people are burdened with. It's this trait that lets 8s take chances and use their assets and resources in a way others might consider too risky. 8s like to get in on the ground floor of new ventures. Sometimes they are too quick and/or optimistic, setting expectations too high and resulting in disappointment. But even these failures can’t sideline an 8 for long. It is perhaps a bit of a contradiction, but 8s have trouble accepting the authority of other individuals or institutions. This has led some with an 8 Sun Number to a path of crime and incarceration. Successful Sun Number 8s are careful to not to let anger cloud their judgment. The Sun Number 8 in Numerology is about power, authority, and balance, it's an excellent business number The 8 Sun Number is not an easy one to please when it comes to romance. This is mostly due to the fact that he or she simply doesn't show much of what he or she is feeling. The 8 tends to be level headed, something that can take the wind out of a passionate romantic relationship. If, however, the partner has enough self-confidence and is secure in his or her own right, the relationship can last forever. The 8 is neither demanding, nor particularly giving. It considers sex the way it looks at all other needs of the flesh: satisfy it, then move on. On the other hand, the 8 has a strong sense of commitment, takes care of those around him or her, and will fight to protect them. Having an 8 Sun Number on your side is reason to feel safe and secure.

SUN NUMBER 9 People with a Sun Number 9 are idealists. There is a global consciousness that drives many with a 9 Sun Number to a career in politics, the military or law enforcement. They can be aloof and distant, but that is a form of self-defense, because they are often not very good with emotional issues, preferring a more clinical and objective approach.

9s like things to be well thought out, carefully strategized, and all possibilities considered, however, they have no problem adjusting to changing circumstances. This makes a 9 very capable as a long-term planner or advisor. Sun Number 9s are good at running an institution or team, yet they are not naturally good at the nitty gritty details of business finances and taxes. A Sun Number 9 does best when they are involved with a venture they consider bigger than themselves. It’s important to a 9 to feel they have made their life count, and it sometimes can result in a slightly arrogant, selfrighteous or the holier-than-thou syndrome. Successful Sun Number 9s will learn to accept people for who they are, not expect them to change according to their expectations. People tend to either love a 9 or loathe a 9 ... there are few in between. The Sun Number 9 in Numerology is about sacrifice, global awareness, and it can be aloof. When it comes to love, the 9 Sun Number is perhaps the most difficult Sun Number to get close to. The 9 can seem distant, not often one to display emotion. In order to get involved in a romantic relationship, it is usually the 9 who has to reach out, as others tend to be both intimidated and unsure. On the other hand, once a relationship is established, the 9 can be a joy to be around. They are considerate, careful and generous. They don't ask for much, and are easily pleased. They are tolerant and forgiving, and give a partner all the space and freedom he or she needs to live his or her own life.

THREE BACKBONE OF NUMEROLOGY The purpose of numerology is to gain a better understanding of who you are and what the future might hold for you. When I first started working with numerology, almost 40 years ago, I found the biggest challenge in creating truly personal readings was discovering why two people with similar numbers could end up being so different. The answer is that it is essential to note where each number appears in a chart – not just consider the number’s attributes. You have 4 or 5 key core numbers, plus a wide range of numbers that play lesser but important roles. Without scrutiny, this jumble of numbers creates something akin to numerical soup - a cluster of numbers and personality traits that could apply to just about anyone. But, when you consider the location of each number in your chart, you obtain far more personalized information. If you and a friend have a 5 among your core numbers, you might suppose you have something in common. But if your 5 appears in a different location than your friend’s (a 5 Heart's Desire versus a 5 Personality or 5 Expression for instance) the effect the 5 has will be dramatically different.

Over time I noticed another issue. Traditionally, numerologists, including yours truly, have been mindful of two different sides of your personal Numerology chart: your Personality Profile and your Future Forecast. I have not been comfortable with that for several years, as I became more and more convinced that to have a clear understanding of your makeup and the path you are on, it would be more insightful to look at your chart from three different angles, because that's essentially how you exist: you, your path, and your future. Think of these aspects as the three Backbone of your life, and learn which numbers represent each area and how they relate to one another.

The First Backbone: You First, there is you, the individual, with your unique mixture of talents, personality traits, idiosyncrasies, dreams, hopes, likes and dislikes, and what have you. These characteristics are reflected in your name. Your full name at birth is the blueprint of who you are - the unique individual who lives inside you. Think of it as your numerological DNA. The logic behind this is easy to see; when you introduce yourself, you say "I am so-and-so," thereby stating who you are (and revealing much more than you might be aware of). The same applies even when you use a shorter version of your name or a nickname, slightly adjusted to reveal a somewhat different view of you. Any time your Numerology chart talks about the core numbers that are derived from your name, the numbers missing in your name, or those that are present in abundance, you should understand it as speaking to who you are. Not your future, not the direction of your life, just you, the individual. This is who you were right from the moment of your birth.

The Second Backbone: Your Path Secondly, look at your path - the direction your life wishes to move - the momentum of your life. This is not your future forecast, nor is it your "destiny," it is truly a path. Since there is no point of arrival where you could say, "I have fulfilled my destiny and therefore my life is complete," the words destiny and goal do not apply. In Numerology, it is quite aptly named your Life Path. This is the most important number in your chart because in a way, you could call it your purpose. (I consider it your "small" purpose as opposed to your "large" purpose which I believe to be reaching enlightenment or selfrealization… As you can see, I believe in aiming high.) The Life Path number is derived from your date of birth. It signifies the window in time through which you came to be in human form, to live a number of years, until you come to another window where you step through, leaving your human form to return to dust. What I hope to convey is that Numerology, if interpreted properly, views your Life Path as indicative of the direction, growth, and advancement you

are meant to travel. Your Life Path is a cycle; its attributes are dynamic, active, and evolving. You were given the cycles you need to progress along your life's path. So, we have You as an individual, your traits, talents, likes and dislikes – and, secondly, the Path you are on in this lifetime. Here’s an example (me) to illustrate how each of these aspects differ. I have a 16/7 Life Path and a 16/7 Personality. The 16/7 Life Path, derived from my date of birth, reveals my path to be one of spiritual growth, driven by intellectual curiosity, a search for knowledge and understanding - not about any random thing, but specifically about life and death and the mystery of it all. This is, and has always been, the main ingredient of my life, so I guess Numerology's description of my Life Path number is accurate. But what about my 16/7 Personality? Shouldn't that give me somewhat the same attributes? Well, yes and no. The 16/7 Personality gave me those same traits, but packaged and delivered quite differently. My external presence, now mostly outgrown, thank you very much, was that of a geeky introvert, a quiet intellectual hiding behind Coke bottle lenses, feeling uncomfortable and out of place pretty much everywhere. These traits are typical to a 16/7 Personality, but not a 16/7 Life Path. Had my Personality been a 3, I would still have been the spiritual dreamer and seeker I am, due to my 16/7 Life Path, but my Personality would have been much more social, fun loving, comfortable with others, expressive, and so forth. By the same token, a 16/7 Personality doesn't necessarily set someone on a path to seek spiritual growth, but it will make that person look the part: geeky, quiet, bookish, etc.

The Third Backbone: Your Future Finally, we have the third Backbone: your Future Forecast. Here too, the numbers are based on your date of birth, because they were set in motion by your birth. The moment you stepped onto your path, several cycles kicked in that began to influence you, as they will continue to throughout your life. This is another beautiful piece of logic behind the science of Numerology. The gears (cycles) set in motion by your birth work together, and if you look closely – as Numerology does – you begin to recognize their synchronicity. Furthermore, when you look at the influence of the numbers that appear throughout these cycles, you get an idea, to some extent, of how future events

might unfold. Three sides of a single, amazing story: You, Your Path, and Your Future. When you read your Numerology report carefully, with attention to where each number affects you, it’s surprising the things you can learn about yourself. I’m a fanatic about accuracy, clarity, and continuously improving my work. My profiles are extensive, easily running a few dozen pages. If you have one and you read it in one sitting (concluding it was nice, or not so nice, or confusing, or accurate and it fit you to a T), I suggest you sit with it again. The real value in your report is found by reading it slowly, more than once, taking time for contemplation, and adding your own insight. My vision continues to expand as I strive to make things a little clearer, more applicable, more revealing for every individual’s chart. Guess that’s part and parcel of my 16/7 Personality. My desire to reach self-realization and enlightenment? That's where my 16/7 Life Path comes in. (I never said the 16/7 was a practical realist.)

PS. My previous Numerology Profiles started with the Life Path, followed by numbers in your chart based largely on their importance. The new reports start with YOU (Expression, Heart’s Desire, and other core name numbers), followed by YOUR PATH (Life Path, Challenges, and other numbers based on your date of birth), then YOUR FUTURE (Pinnacles, Period Cycles, etc.). I also added chapters that looks at the combined effect of multiple numbers in your personal chart.

THE LIFE PATH NUMBERS One of the most important numbers from the perspective of Numerology is Life Path number. With the help of Life Path Number, one can understand their personalities, Challenges and Opportunities one will encounter during this lifetime. Since this is related to your date of birth, this number helps you to identify momentum and direction of your life. How to Calculate Life Path Number? To calculate your Life Path number, you need to add your date, month and year. For example: First, we reduce each unit (month/day/year) of the birth date to a single-digit or a master number (11,22 and 33). Next we add each of the resulting digits (or Master numbers) together and reduce the total again to a single-digit or master number. Example 1: December 12, 1936 December is the 12th month. Reduce 12 to a single-digit. 1 + 2 = 3 The day of birth is 12. We reduce 12 to 3 (1 + 2 = 3). The year of birth is 1936. We reduce 1936 to 1 + 9 + 3 + 6 = 19. 1 + 9 = 10. 1 + 0 = 1. The year 1936 reduces to 1. We now add the resulting single digits. month = 3, day = 3, year = 1. Total is 7. The Life Path number is 7. Example 2: November 22, 2000 November is the 11th month. The 11 is a Master number and is not reduced. The 22nd day is also a Master number: 22. The year 2000 reduces to 2. month = 11 day = 22

year = 2 We now add the resulting single digits. month =11, day =22 , year = 2, Total = 35 We reduce 35 to 8. The Life Path is 8. Example 3: May 13, 2000 May is the 5th month. 5 is single digit number. the day of birth is 13th. Reduce it to single digit. 1+3 =4 the year 2000 reduces to 2. we now add the resulting single digits. Month: 5, day: 4, Year: 2, Total: 5+4+2 =11 Since 11 is master number, we will not reduce it to single digit. His Life Path number is 11 not 2. Numerology is not just based on adding numbers & letters, It is based on the inter-connectedness of the cycles and patterns that form the foundation of all of nature and the recognition that many of these cycles are reflected in the letters in a name or date of birth. The Life Path is such a cycle (yes, an often overlooked fact is that the Life Path is actually a cycle). And as the longest cycle in a chart running from birth to death, it is quite logical and beautiful that this cycle is reflected in the date of birth. But by no means does the Life Path cycle stand alone. This cycle is shaped by other cycles, such as the cycles of the month, the day, and the year. If we continue to use May 15, 1949, as our example, the month cycle at the time of birth in this case was a 5 cycle. The day cycle was a 6 (the 15th day reduced to 6). And the Year cycle was also a 5. The Life Path is produced by the three cycles in place at the time of birth; the 5, 6, and 5 cycles respectively. But there is more.

EXPRESSION NUMBER Your Expression number is one of your core numbers -- the most important numbers in your Numerology chart. Based on the letters of your full name at birth, your Expression number reveals the talents, abilities and shortcomings you hold in this lifetime. Why your name? Your name represents the inheritance of your personal history up to the moment of your birth. Whatever that history is, it has shaped you into what you are. Prior to meeting their child, parents use intuition as their guiding force, picking up on the child's personal vibrations and choosing a name accordingly. The name you were given at birth is the name you were meant to have.

To figure out your Expression number, write out the full name you were given at birth -- first, middle and last. Then, use our guide to the right and place the numerical value below each of the letters. Next, add the numbers of your first name and reduce them it to a single digit. Do the same for your middle and last names. Finally, add the three single-digit numbers together, then reduce them to another single-digit number to reveal your Expression number. If you encounter a Master number -- 11, 22 or 33 -- in any of your reductions, do not reduce it any further. Expression number 1 You are a natural leader, independent and individualistic, ambitious and courageous. You also possess the ability to influence the opinions of those around you. Since the number 1 symbolizes the front-runner, pioneer, warrior and risk-taker, generals, top politicians, businessmen, self-made millionaires, religious leaders, inventors and activists are often born with a 1 Expression. You may have a tendency to be self-centered, because you so powerfully

identify with your goals and ambitions that you sometimes refuse to see a potential flaw or weakness in your plans. You can also be highly critical of others, which can alienate friends and family members -- you must learn to control this tendency if you want to maintain harmonious relationships. Expression number 2 You are friendly and open-minded, with a highly developed intuition and a great talent for working with others. Your abilities are best expressed while working with others in a partnership, rather than in a leadership role. Since you tend to be the power behind the throne, you often do not get the credit and recognition you deserve, which can be frustrating. The key to your personality is sensitivity, yet this can also make you vulnerable, thrown off balance by an unkind word or conflict. You are far more upset by these circumstances than people without your sensitivity. Close, harmonious relationships are essential to your happiness, and you make an excellent partner: giving, thoughtful, and conscious of meeting the needs of your loved one. Expression number 3 You are optimistic, inspiring, outgoing and expressive. Your personality has a certain bounce and verve that so powerfully affects others that you can inspire people without effort. You are a social person, yet you have to learn to accept the involvement of others in your life. You have great potential in the arts and areas that require creative solutions to problems. Yours is the number of creativity and self-expression, but you must be careful not to scatter your talents. Your bane is that you often lack discipline and order in your life -- learning to concentrate and focus is your key to success. Expression number 4 You are the foundation of any enterprise. Your approach to life and problems is methodical and structured. Many accountants, bookkeepers, government officials, managers and lawyers are born under the 4 Expression. You can be attracted to the arts and music, but will likely bring your love of order to any artistic field as well. In relationships, you tend to be somewhat moralistic. You have integrity and are trustworthy, but you can be rigid and stubborn, with your strong likes and

dislikes overruling your common sense and compassion. You are driven by a contempt for all that is unstable, insecure and unpredictable, which may shut you off from shortcuts and creative solutions provided by more daring people. Your challenge is to be more imaginative and attract more creative people into your life who can advise and inspire you. Expression number 5 You are a free spirit, loving change, adventure and excitement. Freedom is the nucleus around which your life revolves, and is needed for you to bring forth your many talents. You want to try everything at least once in life, which could lead to trouble in the form of unhealthy and dangerous indulges. Your thought process, like the rest of your life, can be unorganized and scattered, yet you are gifted in communication and could be a successful salesman, politician, lawyer, public relations person or minister. Your youthful enthusiasm is something others find infectious and attractive. You fall in and out of love frequently, and must guard against shallow feelings and relationships. In fact, self-discipline and healthy limits are the keys to your success in virtually every area of your life. Expression number 6 You are loving and caring, with a tendency to put the needs of others before those of yourself. You are responsible and trustworthy with a high regard for justice and honesty. You are creative in all areas of life, yet your talents may remain undeveloped or suppressed as a result of your tendency to sacrifice your time and pleasure to the service of others. Because of your gift for harmonizing opposites, you are uniquely qualified to handle and integrate contradictions. This makes you a natural counselor and healer, creating peace between opposing points of view, or internal conflicts within the self. You also make an outstanding teacher, social worker, psychologist, artist, designer, gardener, florist or farmer. But you can be successful in business too, especially areas that involve dealing with people. Expression number 7 You are driven by a desire for truth and knowledge, gifted with an analytical mind and an enormous appetite for answers. You have a strong interest in exploring scientific matters, philosophy and mysticism, and may be drawn to a career as a researcher, analyst, investigator, inventor, technician, lawyer,

banker, priest or philosopher. You tend to keep your thoughts to yourself and require time to be by yourself, but you must guard against completely cutting yourself off from others. You are sometimes surprised by the lack of understanding or depth of knowledge of others, which can cause you to be critical, distant, and cynical about life in general. Contemplation, meditation, and tuning in to the softer vibrations in life can steer you toward peace and balance. Expression number 8 You have the power and potential to achieve great things. You are highly competitive -- whatever your enterprise, you strive to be the best and most successful in your field. Money and authority are available to you if you are willing to discipline yourself and persevere in the face of the considerable obstacles in your path. These obstacles are opportunities for you to learn how much power lies within you. You are a great leader of people and an outstanding judge of character. When focused exclusively on your desire for results and success, though, you can become stubborn and intolerant. Yours is a path that requires balance between giving and taking, reward and punishment, action and reaction. It is crucial to your success that you balance the material and the spiritual. Expression number 9 You are the humanitarian, filled with great compassion and idealism -- your deepest intention is to transform the world. You realize your greatest satisfaction when you are involved in an activity that directly benefits the public good. Politics, law, environmental protection, teaching, and healing are areas in which you would succeed. You are not shackled with prejudice; in fact, a wide diversity of people and experiences brings forth qualities in you that would otherwise lay dormant. Despite the cool, distant personality you project, people are attracted to you. But while you are a loving and sincere person, you don't often express what you truly feel. You are not a very good judge of character, yet your basic belief in the goodness of humanity is unshakeable. Expression number 11 You are a powerful presence, yet you aren't aware of your personal power.

You are enormously sensitive and aware, and have always sensed that you are different. You possess a bridge between the unconscious and the conscious. In order to be emotionally and psychologically at peace, you must learn to control that flow of energy, lest you fall into emotional turmoil and nervous tension. You are highly emotional and dependent upon relationships. Emotionally, you go up and down with the fortunes of your love life. You may find yourself hesitant and vulnerable throughout life, careful about sharing your feelings and choosing your friends. Your challenge is to ground yourself with strength. The more you are able to call upon your inherent human power, the greater your capacity to take advantage of your keen awareness. Expression number 22 You dream big, and dream of making your mark on civilization. There is no limit to what you are capable of, nor to what you dream of doing. You have great leadership abilities, and borders and racial identities mean little to you. The number 22 offers those who fully realize it a chance to jump into another dimension in which your day is expanded, your capacity to create and inspire is multiplied, and your ability to perform lasting service to mankind is extended beyond the normal limits of one's life. However, you may resist taking the great risks this number presents, which can cause frustration, because you feel called to greater things. Nevertheless, your chances to be successful are good, even when you limit your efforts. Expression number 33 The 33 is the "Master Teacher," but not just any kind of teacher, one of intensely profound spiritual wisdom and enlightenment. It comes with incredibly high expectations, and is so demanding that very, very few people live up to its status. Therefore, for most people the 33 Expression number is similar to the 6 Expression: harmonious, loving, caring and sacrificing. However, the 33 Expression will emphasize all these qualities of the 6 -- and they can be influenced in a positive way or in a negative way. When the 33 takes on a negative influence, you could actually be emotionally and physically damaging to those around you. But when positive, your ability to heal, comfort and care for others becomes a very prominent part of your makeup. You draw people toward you like moths to a flame.

PERSONALITY NUMBER the personality number is said to reflect your outward personality and show you a bit more about how others perceive you within a short time of getting to know you. It gives insight into the first impressions you give to others and might even come as a bit of a surprise. As with many other numbers in Numerology, we use your name to calculate this number. The personality number varies a bit however in that you will only use the consonants of your full birth name. So, what do the numbers have to say about your personality and how you come across? Source Next we reduce the numbers down to either a single digit or master number (11, 22, etc). For the core personality number here, we are going to reduce the whole name all together. Take your numbers from above as follows and add them across. 9 + 8 + 5 + 4 + 4 = 1 + 4 + 2 + 4 = 42 Then we reduce the answer down again 4+2=6 This means Mr. Smith's personality number is a 6. Once you have your number determined – read on below to learn a bit about what your number says about you.

One people are also prone to being very distinctive individuals who don't mind standing out in the crowd. They leave a very strong impression on those they encounter and can sometimes come across as aloof and possibly even a bit conceited to others if they don't learn to share the floor.

Personality Number 2 This is your peacekeeper, the one who weighs both sides of every story before making a decision. Personality wise, he/she may seem to be open and naturally curious or inquisitive. They don't just want to know what you think about something, but why you think that way. Those with this number are often seen as trustworthy due to their wellrounded nature and tendency to not make snap judgments. Six people are natural cheerleaders and love to see others succeed. They get along with a variety of people, work hard to avoid conflict and will work diligently to reach compromises with others. They thrive best in a “family” unit and will strive to bring that kind of bonding into other areas of life. They are usually great people to work with for that reason - the real "team players".

Personality Number 7 This personality tends to quiet, reflective and often quite introverted. The 7 person is very self-aware, but also acutely in tune to the emotions of others. With these people still waters run deep and they tend to be a bit socially awkward in large groups, but are mesmerizing in one on one conversations or in small groups of trusted individuals. Eight people are good at visualizing things and making them happen. They set their minds to things and are unstoppable. They appear confident, lucky and sometimes overly enthusiastic to others.

Personality Number 9 This personality is a natural charmer who tends to be idealistic and optimistic. Nine people are very conscientious people who put equal value on all people. A nine individual is not someone who would look down on others who have a different lot in life, they would see a homeless person as being just as valuable as anyone else, whereas many others would rush to judgment. This fairness and conscientious nature of the 9 person sometimes draws them to be leaders, particularly in humanitarian capacities. People gravitate towards this person’s positivity and altruistic nature. At times, they can seem a bit "preachy" or so idealistic that they deny certain realities.

Personality Number 11 This master number has the leadership capacity of the 1, but usually with less ego or “my first” kind of energy. 11 people are valued and looked up to for their wisdom. A properly balanced personality with a master number will be one of those people who seem “larger than life” but in a good way – not a “look at me” kind of fashion. Eleven people value themselves and treat themselves with respect and lead by example, encouraging those same traits in others. Eleven people believe in the power of human greatness and hold themselves and others accountable for their own choices in life, but in a merciful, empowering way.

Personality Number 22 This personality number is one who is very well balanced indeed. They will be both artistic and analytical for example. They also strive to create harmony in their lives and crave consistency. This strong personality is capable of great things due to their high levels of creative talents and discipline.

HEART'S DESIRE NUMBER The soul urge number is also called the heart’s desire number in numerology. The Heart's Desire number is just what the name implies: your innermost yearning; the dreams closest to your heart. Consequently, it shows your underlying motivation, or the general intention behind many of your actions. It dramatically influences the choices you make in life. Its influence is everywhere in your life - your career, your environment, friendships, and life style.

To find your Heart's Desire number, add the numerical value of the vowels of each of your names; reduce them to single digits; add the single digits; and reduce them again to a single-digit number, which is your Heart's Desire number. Just as with the Expression number, do not reduce Master numbers to single digits.

If at any time you encounter a Master number, 11, 22 or 33, do not reduce it to a single-digit number. The name Thomas has 2 vowels (6 and 1), which totals to 7. The name John has 1 vowel, which is 6. The name Hancock has two vowels (1 and 6), which totals to 7. Thomas's Heart's Desire is therefore 7 + 6 + 7 = 20, which reduces to 2. Your Heart's Desire is the inner you. It shows your underlying urge, your true motivation. It reveals the general intention behind many of your actions. Consequently, it dramatically influences the choices you make in life. The Heart's desire is seen as part of the larger picture, called the core numbers, which includes the Life Path, Expression, Day you were born, and Personality. But each points to a different aspect of you. The Expression number reveals your talents and abilities, and your general direction in life. The Life Path is the central lesson you came into the world to learn. The Day you were born is very closely connected to Life Path. It reveals specific talents you possess, which will be helpful to you in dealing with your Life Path. These talents tend to come to fuller expression after the age of 28. The Personality reveals how people tend to see you. It also demonstrates what characteristics you are projecting to the world. The Heart's Desire demonstrates the identity of the soul that joined the earth - you, the spiritual being.

You can be sentimental and you cry at sad stories. You need friends and society. You appreciate the refinements of life. You desire comfort and security. You have refined taste, and can be a connoisseur. You love music and possess a good deal of musical talent. Your sensitivity is actually a symptom of your highly developed intuition. You experience a battle within when you do not believe you can handle a situation; this may have a paralyzing effect on you. You prefer to give in when you should assert yourself. You must learn to be more decisive. Very often, you are afraid to use your own power in the face of someone else's aggressiveness. You incorrectly perceive yourself to be in a weaker position; you may ultimately give in merely to avoid a fight. Conversely, you are extremely diplomatic and tactful. You like to accomplish things through quiet persuasion. You dislike force. You have to fight uncertainty and doubt. You need to develop confidence and a willingness to stand up for what you believe to be right. You are considered by many a great companion. Many outstanding comedians have this Heart's Desire. You have a good mental and emotional balance and there is little that gets you down. You have a gift for self expression and are drawn to the verbal arts - writing, acting, singing, and poetry. You may have a great talent in one of these areas. If your creativity is blocked or suppressed, you tend to daydream and fantasize. Your imagination needs a constructive outlet; otherwise, it may run away with you. At the same time, you may have great difficulty expressing your deeper feelings and important personal thoughts. You prefer to stay on the surface, entertaining people with your wit. If you fail to deal honestly with your inner nature, you may succumb to compulsive talking. Such behavior may be merely a way of siphoning off emotional energy that is building beneath your surface. Your deeply felt emotional life cannot be avoided or suppressed. But you possess the talent to channel these feelings into highly creative and artistic form. Art and self-expression are your outlets. You need discipline to make full use of your abilities. Too often, you may scatter your energies in many directions, beginning projects that are never finished and never really succeeding in anything. You success depends on your ability to commit to your work and to see it through to completion. You have so much creativity and inspiring upward energy that you are in desperate need of an anchor. Hard work and discipline serve this purpose and bring out the best in you. Because you are gifted with such a sparkling personality, you are tempted to stay on the surface and play with life. You are confident and love the attention others give you, but these characteristics can lead to vanity and self-absorption. You have the potential to live a very full and successful life thanks to your talent for artistic self expression. The key to your success is a balance between the creative forces and self-disclose.

HEART'S DESIRE IS 4 You like to live a stable, well organized life. You dislike sudden changes. You prefer orderliness in all things. You like to carefully analyze a problem and then tackle it in a logical and practical approach. You want to be dependable, a rock of strength and an example of discipline for others. Work is central to your life, but you may have a tendency to overdo it; you can easily become a workaholic if you're not careful. You have a great deal of energy and can accomplish a lot. You want a family and you are a good parent. You may carry the discipline and the need for orderliness too far, especially in your family, making children and spouse feel oppressed and limited. Flexibility is your key to harmony and balance in life. For you, structure is more important than freedom, which you tend to interpret as chaos. But others do not have your need for well defined systems, in fact, they may feel deeply inhibited and uncomfortable with it. The peace you get from orderliness may represent a prison to someone else. You need and want much love, but you are not very demonstrative. You can be a little rigid and stubborn. You are honest and unpretentious. You detest liars and affectations. You can be very determined and tenacious. You are the bedrock of any enterprise. Your love of freedom and change can have numerous consequences. You can be irresponsible, especially when it comes to finishing tasks. You have a hard time persevering at a given project and bringing it to completion. You must be careful that your love of sensory pleasure doesn't lead you to excessive indulgence in alcohol, food, sex, and even drugs. You are a bit of a hero and want to save the world. This causes you to make promises you often cannot keep. Down deep, you long to please everyone, an impossible goal. Many fives can be emotionally superficial. They feel love passionately, but fear making deep and lasting commitments. As a result, they resist the depths of emotional attachments and remain on the surface where it is safe. You will experience many changes and unusual events, but you learn best through experience. Therefore, your life will be full and you will make great strides in personal growth.

HEART'S DESIRE IS 6 Your attention is directed to helping and caring for those you love. You are exceedingly domestic. You love your home and family and work hard to make both comfortable and secure. Your love for family and friends is a major source of your happiness and sometimes unhappiness. Your desire to help others is so strong that you often find yourself sacrificing your own personal needs for someone else's. You can overdo it, becoming too deeply involved in other people's lives. You risk interfering in personal matters and or smothering those you love in too much affection. This can be especially weakening to children, who never experience their own personal strength if an adult is too protective. You are extremely loyal and rarely let anyone down. You need to feel appreciation for your giving and caring. You want to know that you are needed. You are generous and very forgiving. You are somehow able to overlook the worst mistakes in another and find enough good in that person to continue the relationship. You are patient, warm, and sympathetic, sometimes to the point of sentimentality. You have a natural ability as a counselor and healer. You are an excellent listener, compassionate and understanding. You are able to both sympathize and empathize with a person's dilemma. Your challenge as a counselor is to be adequately educated so that you can do more than provide a sympathetic ear or shoulder. You possess a great deal of artistic talent, though you may not have a lot of confidence in your ability. Art gives you a great deal of pleasure and satisfaction. You are especially sensitive to your environment and have a knack for creating an artistic, healing, and harmonious atmosphere in your home or work space. Your deepest intention is to love those around you, and be loved in return. Six is the most loving of all numbers, especially in a one-to-one relationships. Your instincts are toward your family and friends. You envision a beautiful and harmonious life with love as the basis for all social interaction. Your love is returned manifold; people appreciate you and the love you give, and are willing to go to great lengths to keep you close at hand.

HEART'S DESIRE IS 7 You love knowledge, study, and insight. You value the gifts of your mind, which you use to great advantage to penetrate the mysteries of life. You study things in-depth. You search beneath the surface of things. You abhor shallow judgments or opinions. You have a natural gift for analysis and research. Once you have grasped the facts of a subject, your creativity and abstract approach lifts your thinking beyond the rudimentary to the philosophical. You have a theoretical mind, but rather than indulge in fantasies or idle thought, you prefer to base your theories upon scientific facts. You enjoy mental and physical puzzles - figuring them out, taking them apart, and putting them back together. Some people may perceive you as cool or aloof. You are somewhat introverted; you may feel slightly removed and even a little different. The fantasy of the hermit or monk engaged in a life of study and meditation appeals to you. In relationships, you tend to keep things business-like and impersonal. You prefer to talk about the facts of a given situation, rather than the cloudier issues of emotions and personal feelings. You distrust feelings - both your own and those of others. The whole emotional realm strikes you as unreliable, and a bit unnecessary. Your inability to fully understand the emotional aspect of life is your Achilles heel. You are so rational that the unpredictability of the heart frightens and surprises you. Your challenge is to trust. You need to share your heart with someone. This is a courageous step for you, but will result in enormous growth and satisfaction. The advice here is to make a true connection with another human being. Without it, you may marry out of convenience or to fulfill social expectations, but it will not lead you out of loneliness. The more removed you are from people, the more you risk isolation, bitterness, and a cynical attitude toward life. This choice represents a true crossroads in your development. By sharing yourself with others (without compromising your independence and need for privacy) you can cultivate your enormous charm and share your understanding of life. You are a natural teacher and advisor. And the wealth of knowledge you will accumulate in life is meant to be shared with others. This is not to say that you must compromise on your need for privacy or time spent alone to contemplate life. These are natural aspects of your personality, which are essential to your growth. These characteristics

should not be threatening to your spouse, but must be understood as fundamental to your being. You are blessed with a great reserve of intuition, which can be cultivated by regular meditation and contemplation. Your "inner voice" is your greatest guide and friend. You are idealistic and have high expectations for yourself. Learn to balance your serious nature with regular doses of fun. Your intelligence and cultivation make you charming and distinguished in appearance. As you get older and more comfortable with your identity, people are naturally attracted to you. They see your wisdom, your deep understanding of life, and the refinement you radiate.

HEART'S DESIRE IS 8 You want success in its fullest meaning - wealth, power, and material comforts. You have an enormous ambition. You dream of big projects, great undertakings, and rewards. You are a visionary. You see the horizon and the promise. In general, you also see the methods necessary to fulfill that promise. But you are not especially good with details; you need others to help you deal with the smaller parts of the picture. Your challenge is to make full use of the full spectrum of your abilities, as indicated by your other core numbers. In the same way, you must bring forth the best from others and orchestrate their talents toward the realization of your vision. In short, you must lead by example, demonstrating the standard for commitment, determination, and excellence. All of this requires effort on your part. You will meet with obstacles and difficulties. Your determination and commitment will be tested. But you have the power to overcome every obstacle you face and accomplish the goal you've set for yourself. Your task in life is to learn to use power in refined and elevated ways. The expression and use of power is directly related to one's personal evolution. The more primitive uses of power rest with violence and the threat of deprivation. The higher expressions depend upon your capacity to care for and nourish the people and projects in your charge, giving each exactly what is needed at the appropriate time and in appropriate amounts. You have a creative mind and an unusual approach to business and problem-solving. You need to cultivate your ability to evaluate others. It is essential for you to be involved in a project that challenges you and offers the potential for rewards. When you are uninvolved or unoccupied with a worthwhile task, you can become deeply despondent, depressed, and frustrated. You are the perfect example of the old cliché, "Idle hands are the devils workshop." Without a challenge, you can lose balance in life and become selfish, cruel, and even self-destructive. Disappointments become shattering, causing terrible consequences in self-image and self-love. Perspective is everything for you. You have a natural talent for balancing the spiritual and material planes. You need to cultivate courage and stamina. Courage is a choice. You need to decide to be brave in the face of fear. A balanced 8 is among the most

powerful and satisfying of numbers. It is the spirit of the true survivor, able to bounce back and achieve a greater victory.

HEART'S DESIRE IS 9 You want to be of service to the world. Your deepest satisfaction comes from knowing that you have advanced the cause of humanity. Your ideals are of the highest order. You are a perfectionist. You strive to make the world a utopia; to make each person's lot in life better; to become perfect yourself. One of your challenges in life is to strive toward your lofty goals and at the same time recognize the good you are doing. You like and are fascinated by people from all walks of life. Human nature is a lifelong study for you. You are highly intuitive, but not an especially good judge of character. You are a bit naive, as well, thinking perhaps that all people have the same values as you. You dream of having the resources to immediately relieve the suffering of others, whether it is economic, physical, or psychological. You are gifted with a good mind and a great deal of wisdom, which makes you a natural teacher, counselor, or healer. As much as you desire to be of service to others, you also crave fame and the approval of the masses. Much of the energy you expend in life is directed toward putting yourself before an audience, most often as a salesperson whose product provides some social good; as a philanthropist; or an artist. You are attracted to the arts as a vocation, especially as an actor, photographer, or writer. But whatever your profession, any involvement in the arts, even as a hobby, will provide you with a deep and lasting satisfaction. Secretly, you dream of having a big impact on the world. Others may see this as egotism, especially when you are still young. But your concern for others is genuine. You must apply yourself in this direction in order to become psychologically whole and personally satisfied. Your vision is on the crowds of people, which can cause you to overlook the needs of those closest to you. You need personal love as well, but have a tendency to put your needs in the background. Still, you are a loving person, and only need to be reminded to direct and demonstrate that love to those nearby. If, however, you are focused exclusively on the masses, people will perceive you as distant and a bit aloof. You are emotional, and sensitive. You can also be moody and critical. You have high expectations for yourself and others. This can cause you much anger when your expectations are unfulfilled. One of your most important life lessons is to forgive. Because you are striving hard to attain high ideals, you may think of yourself as superior to others. Arrogance is a trap many 9s fall

into. The danger is that arrogance cuts you off from the thing you love the most: people. Your happiness and contentment are therefore highly dependant on the ease with which you are able to serve and influence mankind. It is the paradox of your Heart's Desire that you receive by giving. Both your material success and spiritual satisfaction are made possible through service and sacrifice to others.

HEART'S DESIRE IS 11 You have a wisdom beyond your years. Even as a child, your understanding of life was considerable, though it likely went unrecognized by others. You are a born peacemaker. You are driven by a desire to settle conflicts and create harmony. You are a healer and a visionary. You long to make the world a better place, and cannot rest until you have dedicated your life to some worthwhile cause. Your realm is ideas and philosophy. You are attracted to the world of energy more than to the mechanical or material planes. Philosophy, religion, and less traditional forms of healing are among your specialties. You are obsessed with the quest for enlightenment. You are extremely sensitive and possess a high degree of intuition. Subtle messages and feelings of others do not escape your attention. You are powerfully aware of the thoughts and feelings of others. Unless you are well grounded, this can throw you about emotionally. Your awareness can be both a gift as well as a problem, because you so deeply desire to please others and keep harmony in your environment. Many 11s were born into extremely hostile or turbulent families. This often resulted in psychological pain, lack of confidence, and shyness during childhood. Somehow, the child with an 11 heart's desire recognized the sources of his family's problem. This created an internal conflict for the child, who naturally loved the troubled parent, but could not cope with that parent's behavior. Therefore, many 11s are scarred early in life. They understand the sufferings of others and seek to be of service in some way. This is, in fact, the easiest way for you to heal yourself and find your greatest satisfaction. You understand the importance of close, loving relationships. Therefore, you are selective in choosing your friends and spouse. You are a romantic, idealistic, but somewhat impractical person. Unless you have other balancing characteristics (as indicated by 1s, 4s, and 8s in your chart), it is wise to team up with a more practical and realistic partner. You have a magnetic and charismatic personality. You like pondering abstract matters. Your intelligence is electric. Ideas, solutions to problems, and inventions seem to come to you as if out of the blue. You are highly charged and intense. This can cause nervous tension. You need to care for your nervous system with ample amounts of rest, a peaceful environment, and proper diet - avoiding extreme foods and drugs. You are often more concerned with universal justice than with the individual.

HEART'S DESIRE IS 22 Deep inside, you long to create something that will have a lasting impact on the world. Whether it is a political movement, a business, or a philosophy, you have a strong inner drive to manifest something of major importance. Like the 11, yours is a Master Number, possessing all the intelligence, sensitivity, and electric creativity that such a power would suggest. You have the inventiveness of the 11 and the down-to-earth practicality of the 4. This combination can make you supremely capable of making your ambitions a reality. The demands of this Heart's Desire are as enormous as its potential. What will be required from you to fulfill your noble ambitions is nothing less than a commitment of your entire being. The path you have chosen is not an easy one. You need time to develop, and you are unlikely to begin to fulfill your ambitions until after you have reached a certain level of maturity. Whether you know it or not, you possess great power within your being. You were born with this power in a latent state, but on some level you were aware of it. Early in life, this power manifested itself as an awkwardness and a discomfort inside of you. Your self image has always been one of contradictory extremes: on one hand you sensed your uniqueness and potential; on the other you may have felt insecure and perhaps even inferior. This paradox has caused waves of self-doubt and lack of confidence. But it also is a powerful generator of energy that, when combined with the higher characteristics of the 22, can become a dynamic and unrelenting force. In order to channel such great power, you need a noble goal for which to aim. You will probably try your hand at several different kinds of work before you rise to the challenge of your true ambitions. You can be a great leader, inspiring and motivating with your vision and work ethic. Your ideas are so creative and superior that they inspire enthusiasm and sometimes even devotion among your co-workers. You should be involved in large enterprises or governmental institutions. You have the organizational diplomatic skills sufficient to keep difficult and delicate projects on track. Once you come into possession of your full power, there are many psychological and spiritual pitfalls to be faced. You can become arrogant and superior. You can become deluded into thinking that your judgment is beyond question, and that the advice and support of others is unnecessary. You may seek to control all power in a given enterprise. This

dangerous and egocentric attitude is sometimes even extended to family members who you may seek to keep under your thumb. Your challenge, once you have begun to use your true gifts, is to remain humble in the face of your significant accomplishments. You perform best when your domestic foundation is stable and supportive; it is very important to have a partner who shares your dreams and has high degree of strength and independence to keep up with your drive. Challenges somehow draw the best out of you. Your human qualities - creativity, humility, understanding, and compassion - increase with the level of your performance. Therefore, commitment to excellence is central to your success and inner development.

HEART'S DESIRE IS 33 Your attention is directed to helping and caring for those you love. Although you are also a 6 (33 reduces to 6). the added attributes of the 33 Master Number are generally not visible until at least age 35, and can lay dormant even longer. Still, you carry its potential - the compassion and intuitive intelligence that can help you become a powerful and beneficial influence in the world. It is not uncommon for a person with your Heart's Desire number to enter

politics later in life, or to become involved in a large project to which you are emotionally drawn.

Overall, each Pinnacle cycle shapes you and your life. In nutshell, the Pinnacle Numbers is the energy surrounding and influencing you during each defined period of your life in addition to your Life Path Number. How to calculate your Pinnacle number? First Pinnacle Number = Month of Birth + day of Birth Second Pinnacle Number = day of Birth + year of Birth Third Pinnacle Number = First Pinnacle + Second Pinnacle Fourth Pinnacle Number = Month of Birth + Year of Birth. The 1st Pinnacle is the Sum of the month and day of birth. The 2nd Pinnacle is the Sum of the day and year of birth. The 3rd or Main Challenge equals the Sum of the 1st and 2nd Pinnacle. The 4th Challenge is the Sum of the month and year of birth. Example 1: 1. Someone born on 26th Nov 2013, we reduce each of these units (the month, the day, and the year) to single digits. The result is day =2+6 = 8; Month= 11 (for Pinnacle number calculation, don’t reduce master number to single digit); Year = 2+0+1+3 = 6. 2. To find the First Pinnacle we add the month of birth from the day of birth. In our example, we will add 11& 8 = 19 =1+9 = 1.

3. The Second Pinnacle results from Adding the day of birth from the year of birth. In our example, we will add 8 and 6 = 14 =1+4 =5. 4. The Third and main Challenge is found by adding the First and Second Pinnacle. In our example, 1+5 = 6. 5. The Fourth Challenge is found by adding the month of birth from the year of birth. In our example, we will add 11 and 6 = 17= 1+7 =8. Example 2: Date of Birth: 22 - Nov- 2002 1st Pinnacle = Month of Birth + day of Birth = 22 + 11 = 33 (for Pinnacle number calculation, don’t reduce master number to single digit) 2nd Pinnacle = day of Birth + year of Birth = 22 +4 = 26 =2+6 = 8 3rd Pinnacle = First Pinnacle + Second Pinnacle = 33+ 8 =41 = 4+1=5 4th Pinnacle = Month of Birth + Year of Birth = 11+4 =15 =1+5=6 NOTE: The calculation methods for the Pinnacles are similar to the Challenges, except that we subtract to find the Challenges, and for the Pinnacles we add the birth date units.

SPECIAL LETTERS IN YOUR NAME When people first started using words, sounds I should say, they were perhaps just guttural noise used to warn each other of approaching danger. Or picture some Neanderthal using smacking sounds to show appreciation for the chunk of meat he is eating. Or soft moaning sounds to express desire for a woman. What these sounds had in common, is that they were suitable to the occasion. Even at such an early stage in our evolution we had enough intuition and sense of emotional effect, to apply the proper sounds to an event. From there, we evolved, slowly, and became capable of expressing more detail, more finesse. First, there was one sound used to warn the tribe that danger was approaching. Next, we developed two distinctly different sounds for the same purpose; to warn of danger. But one was used for mammoths, another one for bears. When decoding your own name, it's important to realize that in Numerology, each letter in your name has a corresponding number, and that the placement of each letter determines the kind of influence that letter (and its numerological meaning) has on you. To simplify things, we will refer to letters and their numerological meaning rather than discuss the precise numbers they translate into.

The Cornerstone First, let's look at the Cornerstone. This is the first letter of your name. It provides general insight about your essential personality, and it has a lot to say about your approach to life's speed bumps and open doors. In other words: your Cornerstone is all about how you approach both difficulties and upswings.

The Capstone The Capstone is the last letter of your name, and, fittingly, it demonstrates your ability to see projects and ideas through to the end. This translates into your "finishing" number. When you look at your Cornerstone and Capstone -the letters that "bookend" your name -- you can determine how easy it is for you to start and stop important processes and projects. It answers questions like: are you a shaker and a mover? Are you a little bit flaky?

First Vowel Now look to the first vowel of your first name -- this letter gets to your core. Think of the deepest goals, urges and dreams that drive you in all you do -this is the letter offers a glimpse into this area of life. But this is a secretive letter, because few people wear what it really is they want on their sleeve. This first vowel in your name indicates something that only your closest friends and trusted family members might know about you ... and it's also a very telling "window" to your soul! You might know someone who for whatever reason changed the first vowel in their name. Although this is rare, it indicates a person who is uncomfortable with who they really are, at their core.

In our charting system, you will notice a triangle divided in three sections. The top shows the Key, the left bottom is the Cornerstone, and the right bottom shows the Capstone.

The people responsible for the design of a new product will devote large amounts of time and money to get the shape and the color just right. Everybody understands that the wrong color can mean failure in the marketing of a good product. The right color can mean success even for a mediocre product. The right name - the right numerology name - can make or break a business, or a product. Business feature, as well as a Name Advisor for People. See below for an example.

In order to be successful, you have to make the right impression. The name is the first impression one gets. A Texas-based energy business named Entergy, with their choice of company name, severely frustrates its own business potential. From the point of view of numerology, the name is simply terrible. It is awkward and infantile. Sometimes a slight adjustment can make a big difference. A struggling mall, not far from here, is named Mall of the Mainland. A bad choice. Change it to Mainland Mall and business will improve. As a numerology name it works much better.

What the Numerology Name Analyzer for Business Can Do for You Have you ever noticed how a name often perfectly reflects the personality of the individual? Can you imagine the actor John Wayne as Eugene Wayne or Marion Morrison (which was his given name)? Just as actors choose a stage name to convey a certain persona, advertisers spend countless hours inventing and testing names to appeal to the desired demographic. When a corporation prepares to launch a new product, they hire teams of copywriters, PR experts, even psychologists to find a name that inspires confidence, excitement, or feelings of security. The Name Advisor for business analyzes the influence a name has on the human psyche. It is less concerned with the actual qualities hidden in the name than it is with the way the name is perceived when others hear it. The Name Advisor suggests the impression the word leaves when we hear or see it. Use it to help you chose the best name for a product, business, or other venture. HOW IT WORKS We analyze a name using three sets of letters: the vowels, consonants, and all the letters combined (the main impression). A name is not unlike a musical score. The consonants carry the piece, the vowels deliver the high notes, and together they create a sound that delivers a feeling, an impression, an atmosphere. As it is with music, a certain name may work well in one setting, but not in another. The first text below describes the main impression people feel after viewing or hearing the name in question. This is followed by the lesser impact of the consonants and vowels. If the main influence of your name has the potential to be overly aggressive, for example, the vowels or consonants might lend a gentle, cooperative energy that can mitigate its combative nature. Conversely, just the opposite might be true. HOW TO USE IT When you read your report, make sure the description is suitable for the product or business you are naming. For example, if you are starting an accounting firm, look for a name that reflects dependability, trustworthiness, and stability, even if that name is also labeled as boring and rigid. If you are

opening a sports or camping store, look for a name described as bold, dynamic, risk-taking, and freedom-loving. Notice that each report concludes with a list of businesses or careers particularly suitable for that name. This gives you a general idea of how well the name will fit for a similar product. If the name fits a sports business, it will also be favorable for a fitness product. Every description includes qualities that are not ideal, but if you know your market you should be able to find a name that presents your endeavor in the best possible light. I wish you great success. An example name analysis: Mainland Mall With 7 as its main influence, Mainland Mall reflects analytical powers, a quest for knowledge, and the search for truth and wisdom. It makes one feel they are in the company of unconventional intelligence and eminence in a chosen field. It is inventive, promotes study, research, open-mindedness, and daring new concepts. The 7 is a natural scholar, researcher, auditor, poet, and writer. The name Mainland Mall feels serious; it inspires depth, insight, contemplation, meditation, and prayer. The vowels in Mainland Mall add joy, inspiration, creativity, and a happy-golucky approach to the name's main impression. They help the name feel light, unburdened, witty, and fun; they inspire enthusiasm and excitement. The vowels make Mainland Mall more energetic and dynamic and give an impression of mental and emotional balance. They enhance the name's ability to draw people in. The consonants in Mainland Mall add a feeling of reliability and consistency to the name's main impression. They radiate trust, efficiency, common sense, and a down-to-earth, practical nature; one feels secure and in capable hands. They reflect strength, efficiency, dependability, family values, and strong morals. Possible undesirable effects: The vowels in Mainland Mall can feel scattered and short on discipline. This

could lead some to question whether the business or product will deliver on its promises. BELOW IS A LIST of businesses considered suitable for this name. The list is not definitive; it simply links the positive qualities reflected in the impression the name conveys to businesses that might benefit from those characteristics. It is not comprehensive, so if your business isn't listed, allow the descriptions to guide you. If you are trying to name a business or a product, focus on the descriptions rather than the list of careers/businesses. Legal, Mechanical/Automotive, Heavy Machinery, Tools/Hardware, Education, Public Relations/Marketing, Accounting, Consulting, Human Resources, Visual Arts/Photography, Interior Design, Music/Dance/Acting, Art/Antiques, Architecture, Construction, Financial Planning, Counseling/Therapy.

NAMING PEOPLE Although your name may remain unchanged for decades, you evolve and change over time. This evolution begins with your date of birth. If a name change takes place later in life, it alters some of the traits and characteristics of the individual going forward, but the birth date and original birth name will continue to have the greatest impact. In short, your name is YOU; your date of birth is YOUR PATH. Intertwined and co-dependent, every building block in a personality's DNA has the potential to change or disappear entirely, just as a missing quality can be learned or unlearned. No name is perfect. What you should look for are the specific strengths and talents you hope will benefit the person receiving the name. Or conversely, you may want to avoid traits you feel are particularly detrimental to your health and happiness. If the name you are analyzing is for an unborn child, the report will only describe personality traits as reflected in the name you choose. Although it will be an incomplete picture (since the date of birth is unknown) it will still be a specific and detailed reading of the person about to be born. The full name at birth describes their Personality, Hearts Desire, and Expression. If the child has already been born, use the Name Advisor to try a range of names. Once you have narrowed your choices, you may want to follow up with a complete Personality Profile. The Profile combines the name and date of birth, so it is considerably more expansive and in-depth. If you are considering a name change for yourself, the Name Advisor provides opportunities to try several names and variations. However, choosing a new name is not unlike buying a suit; it needs to fit. It is less important to find a name with a specific quality than to find one that suits you and feels comfortable to the person you know yourself to be. Jonathan Billings HE HAS A 5 EXPRESSION A man with a 5 Expression is a free spirit who loves change, adventure, and excitement. As a bird needs to fly, he cannot exist without it. Freedom is the nucleus around which his life revolves; if he uses it responsibly, he will be able to explore and develop all of his varied talents. He is ready-made to meet many types of people and travel great distances. Freedom is the atmosphere

he needs to materialize his many talents. This man is capable of doing almost anything, and probably quite well. He is unusually adaptable - in fact, he welcomes change. He also needs variety and a good challenge. He dislikes a routine life; he becomes miserable when he is held back or held down. The taste, texture, and color of life have an overpowering allure for him. From childhood on, he dreams about seeing foreign lands and experiencing the sensual and exotic. He wants to try everything at least once, as all of life is a playground for his senses. His adventurous nature can get him into trouble. Somewhat reckless, he may fail to respect his biological or social limits. Boundaries are anathema to him, which may cause him to overindulge his desire for food, alcohol, sex, or drugs. He is gifted in his ability to communicate, so he makes a good salesman, politician, lawyer, public relations person, or minister. He also possesses the talent to share and advance new ideas. He is skilled with his hands. He loves the new and untried, his field is the frontier. He is a bit of a gambler and often plays for very high stakes. These traits combine to give him a youthful enthusiasm, which others find infectious and attractive. He enjoys working with others but needs to remain unencumbered by their restraints. He is a clever and quick thinker, but his thought processes — like the rest of his life can become disorganized and scattered. He must stay grounded and focused if he is to realize success. This man falls in and out of love frequently, especially early in life. He is naturally sensual and commonly has a strong sex drive. This usually makes for a lively and exciting love life, but he must guard against shallow feelings and relationships. His challenge is to develop mature, lasting relationships. Self-discipline and setting healthy limits are key to his success in virtually every area of his life. Ironically, he will find that as he learns to set appropriate limits for himself, he develops more self-mastery and realizes even greater freedom. This is especially true when it comes to finishing what he started (he has a tendency to give up once a project is under control). Bored quickly, he begins to fantasize about his next challenge or the rewards of an accomplishment long before the work is complete. The 5 Expression desires the entire world and is aware that he has the talent

to conquer it. However, attaining success will depend on his willingness to remain disciplined and focused. HIS HEART'S DESIRE IS 8 The ambitious 8 desires success, wealth, power, and material comfort. He dreams of grand projects, great undertakings, and rewards. He is a visionary who sees the horizon and the promise. Although he is not great with details (others should handle the day-to-day aspects of a project), he has the understanding and skills to realize his goals. His challenge is to make use of the full spectrum of his abilities, as indicated by his other core numbers. In the same way, he must inspire the best from others and steer their talents toward the realization of his vision. He is an excellent leader, who personally sets the standard of commitment, determination, and excellence. He will meet with obstacles where his courage and perseverance are tested. Courage is essential to the 8. He is bound to take on immense challenges, but he has the ability to overcome every obstacle. He has a creative mind and an unusual approach to business and problem solving. It is essential for him to be involved in challenging projects that offer the potential for reward. When he is not occupied with a worthwhile task, he can become frustrated and depressed. He is a perfect example of the saying, "Idle hands are the devils workshop." Without a goal he loses balance and can become selfish, cruel, or self-destructive. His central challenge in life is to use power in conscious and beneficial ways. The expression and use of power are directly related to his personal evolution. The less evolved man expresses power through violence or the threat of deprivation. Those with higher aspirations care for and nourish the people in their charge. He has chosen a path that requires a delicate balance between giving and taking, reward and punishment, action and reaction. Fortunately, the 8 has a natural talent for balancing the spiritual and material planes. A balanced 8 is among the most powerful and satisfying of numbers. It is the spirit of the true survivor, able to bounce back from adversity and achieve even greater victories. HIS PERSONALITY IS A 6

Considered the most loving number, the 6 radiates understanding, fairness, and compassion. Others, attracted by his caring nature, come to unload their burdens. He inspires confidence and has a keen sense of justice. He strives for harmony in his life and for those he loves, and is willing to sacrifice his own needs for theirs. His willingness to give so much of himself can lead to his being taken advantage of. He tends to see the best in others and is not always the best judge of character. Also, although his efforts are sincere, he can become too involved in the lives of others. This can feel smothering to them, and lead him to feel resentful if they are unappreciative or unwilling to reciprocate. His home and family are his center. He loves children and makes a loving, attentive parent. He is generous, romantic, faithful, and very protective. Artistic and creative, he loves music and is a natural with interior design, color, and style. People view him as a father figure; he is the safe port in a storm. Underneath that strong exterior, however, he can be vulnerable to criticism and he tends to worry a lot. Love is the key to his happiness. HOW HIS NAME NUMBERS STACK UP? He has a 5 Expression, an 8 Heart's Desire, and a 6 Personality. His 5 Expression is a highly charged number. It is adaptable and flexible, and desires freedom above all else. It strongly dislikes being supervised. It also gives him a freewheeling, daring approach and plenty of energy. Pairing this unconventional side of him with his 8 Heart's Desire produces a fortunate combination. The 8 gives his life direction as well as needed balance and steadiness. Additionally, his 6 Personality adds a second stable, responsible, pragmatic number. He probably works better in circumstances that allow him to move around, ideally one that includes travel. Routine activities, predictability, and a typical office environment do not appeal to him, nor does it suit the 8. If possible, leave planning and methodical follow-up to others. The down side of the 5 is its instability and lack focus, both of which are largely offset by the 8 and 6. Many visual artists are born with this combination. Although the 5, 8, and 6 sequence is well balanced and relatively harmonious, he may experience conflict between the way people perceive him (or the way he

presents himself) and the way he truly desires to be, and be seen. His Personality (6), and Heart's Desire (8), are not incompatible but they may create confusion about "who he really is." The first reflects a warm, loving exterior, which can make people underestimate the determined, no-nonsense practicality and authority of his deeper, and more "real" side. As for romance and long-term relationships, he is loyal and able to draw others to him. Although he is not averse to commitment, his relationships might be challenged by his desire for an adventurous, impulsive lifestyle. Also, he is probably not overly romantic in his expressions. He should be conscious of his wild streak and take time to evaluate possible consequences before jumping to whatever (or whomever) catches his eye.

DESIGNING NAMES A name can be a powerful influence, and in fact, can mean the difference between success and failure. Henry Ford never realized that the name of the car that almost brought Ford Motor Company to the brink of bankruptcy, spelled disaster: Ford Edsel. The name "Edsel" might have been suitable for a cleaning product, it was a terrible name for a car. No matter how well designed and competitively priced this car may have been, with the name Edsel, this product was doomed. Today we are much more aware of this phenomenon. It was not a fluke that a highly successful commercial advertising a new kind of hamburger compared anyone unwilling to try this product to a nerd named Herb. People in the advertising business know very well the impression the name Herb makes. After all, who wants to be Herb? Have you ever read a book where the macho hero is named Herb? Or Eugene? Of course not. Writers tend to be very good at naming their characters. Heroes are named John, Alex, Bill, Steve, Wayne ... strong names, names that call up images of tough guys, not nerds. Do you think John Wayne would have become the legend he is today if his name had been Herb Wayne? Or Eugene Wayne? Let alone stuck with his real birth name, Marion Morrison? Look at the names of things. What better name for a pretzel than "pretzel?" Your gut feeling that the name "pretzel" is exquisitely suitable to the pastry has nothing to do with the fact that you have known a pretzel to be a pretzel since childhood. It is the sound, the melody and what it does to your tongue when you speak the name "pretzel" that makes it so fitting. It just curls. Or how about "wool" for wool and "cotton" for cotton? And look at words such as love and hate. The word love reaches out to you, wants to embrace you, draw you into itself. The word is warm and protective. The word hate, on the other hand, is hard and sharp ... it bites. None of this is coincidence. Language has evolved in perfect synchronicity with the people who speak it. Names are initially applied to things with the help of intuition and a mental and emotional relationship with the object. From there, they evolve: spellings change, pronunciations change -- a finetuning takes place over hundreds, even thousands of years of evolution.

Today, if you need a name for a product or a business entity, you have neither the time nor the resources to let the name evolve until it fits -- it has to be right from day one. Think of the power of a name as similar to a color or a shape. The people responsible for the design of a new product will devote large amounts of time and money to get the shape and the color just right. Everybody understands that the wrong color can mean failure in the marketing of a good product, and the right color can mean success even for a mediocre product. In order to be successful, you have to make the right impression, and the name is the first impression one gets. A Texas-based energy business named "Entergy" with their choice of company name severely frustrates its own business potential. This name is simply terrible. It is awkward and infantile -sometimes a slight adjustment can make a big difference. A struggling mall named Mall of the Mainland is a bad choice. Change it to Mainland Mall, and business will improve. A "good" name The process is somewhat different for individuals. As an individual, you already have a name. The challenge, therefore, is to find a way to improve the current name or decide on an alternative. Your original name at birth reflects who you are: your talents, strengths, weaknesses, unique character traits and so forth. Your original name at birth cannot be changed. Your birth has passed and you have been named. Your date of birth represents the momentum of your life: the path you walk, the cycles, the timing of events and influences, the direction of your life. Your date of birth cannot be changed either. However, your current name, the way you introduce yourself, can be changed -- and the result of a name change can be dramatic. The way you introduce yourself shows how you feel about yourself: your self-confidence, your selfimage, your perspective of your own potential and short-comings. When you introduce yourself, you do much more than simply label yourself as "so-andso" -- you create an impression in sound and vibration. But there is more. Every time you introduce yourself, or even think of yourself, you confirm an image, a range of qualities. You influence your own world, your immediate environment and the people around you. This

influence can be positive or detrimental to the quality of your life and your ability to tap into your true potential. Most people are comfortable with their names, and rightly so. Parents tend to do a good job naming their children. A combination of love, intuition and many months of adjusting to the upcoming event of giving birth virtually guarantees that the child receives the perfect name, a name that fits the child perfectly. But, people change. In most cases, the changes are reflected in the original name at birth and in harmony with the individual's personal evolution. Even so, it is not uncommon for a person to reach a stage in life where a certain discomfort is connected with the everyday name, a recognition of discordance, a deep inner feeling that the name is no longer in harmony with the flow of life. At that point, a numerological name change may be in order.

A NAME CHANGE - MARRIAGE When an individual gets married and is comfortable taking on a partner’s name, there is a very good chance the name change will not only help strengthen the relationship, but will also have a beneficial impact on the individuals who adopt the new name (or hyphenated name). On one hand (if only one partner adopts the other’s name) this individual clearly sacrifices a part of his/her makeup by dropping or changing the surname. But, by the same token, certain "energies" from the other partner and his/her ancestors may well make up for that. If you are considering a name change, you may want try it out in the Name Advisor for People report. Or, for a full reading, create a Personality Profile using the new name. As a numerologist, I make a distinction between "organic" name changes, and "artificial" name changes. Organic name changes are the result of events that are a natural part of a one's evolution. This might include marriage, or an aspiring musician or actor who is told by an agent that the artist's current last name could be an obstacle to success. In that case, a name change is a natural next step in the artist's life. An organic name change can also be the result of an individual’s realization that the current name doesn't fit his/her personality – or the name might be connected to a disliked parent or ancestor. There are many reasons to change one's name in this organic way, and many that can be beneficial to the individual. Artificial name changes, however, are names designed in the (almost always) futile attempt to add or remove certain attributes without going through the normal process of learning, overcoming obstacles, and so forth. It is disheartening to hear about "numerologists" who suggest that someone change a name to “add an 8 in order to become rich and famous”, or to add a 5 to overcome shyness. If a numerologist - or anyone for that matter - tells you changing your name will help you become a happier, healthier, or wealthier human being, the person is either incompetent or a con. There is a big difference between an individual who feels the need to change their name, and a name change meant to be a shortcut to a happier and more successful life. There are no shortcuts and trying to skip ahead throws a monkey wrench into the natural evolution of your life's path.

NAME CHANGES - DIVORCE What does numerology say about going back to my maiden name? Will it affect me in some way? Yes. And almost certainly in a positive way. A rule of thumb: The name closest in makeup to the name given at birth is the more favorable to you and to what you want out of this life. There are, however, plenty of exceptions. It is surprising how many people who change their name for "organic" reasons (marriage, adoption, career requirements - as opposed to artificial: I want an 8 in my name so I am changing it to...) intuitively or coincidentally (there is no such thing as coincidence, but we will use it here for the sake of convenience) acquire a name with just the right number combinations to make a positive impact. Also consider that the age-old practice of the woman surrendering her name to that of her husband is often beneficial to the relationship. There is a woman's sacrifice of a part of her true self, in order to strengthen the relationship. There is nothing wrong or unfair about that. The husband also sacrifices. However, if the relationship ends, the woman, as a rule, has an easier time finding herself back if she starts using her own name again.

THE NEXT 9 YEAR CYCLE – THE FLOODGATES OPEN The year 2016 was the end of a 9-year cycle that started in 2008. A cycle that would find polarization and intolerance an increasingly influential component with each passing year, causing political and economic upheaval. Although those influences were clear to me early on, I had no idea how dominant the issue of division would become. Today, it seems everyone who follows politics in the US - and globally - agrees social and political discord is more divisive than ever. However, we are also witnessing another, albeit more subtle, side to that coin: A shift towards an increasing sense of community, collective awareness, and activism reminiscent of the struggle for women’s suffrage, civil rights, anti-apartheid, the Arab spring… I am hopeful. The next 9 years will focus on communication and information. It will shine a light on issues around the world in both positive and negative ways. Individuals, businesses, and governments will find it difficult, if not impossible, to hide from the vast information systems that are rapidly expanding. Complicating matters, the end of 2016 and the beginning of this year brings Fake News to the forefront, making it difficult to decipher what is factual. Fact checking will be essential, addressing privacy issues will be crucial, choosing legitimate news sources will be vital. We are witnessing the power of social media, the ability to instantly circulate information on a global scale, and the potential for individuals and grassroots’ organizations to create enormous impact. Just today, I read that the new US Administration released a gag order on several Government agencies, stopping them from making statements or providing documents to the public or journalists. Hours later, rouge, non-official Twitter accounts (using official Government logos) began tweeting scientific, environmental and other information relative to those agencies. There is no longer a means to limit the transmission of information. My hope, over the next 9-year cycle, is to see our communication and sharing

of information used to create a healthy, inclusive future for this generation and those that follow.

PROFESSION IN NUMEROLOGY For most people, numerology will remain a hobby and a beneficial source of information. However, if you aspire to become a professional numerologist, you will want to practice extensively on friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, and anyone else you can find. But keep in mind that there are responsibilities to this profession that should be taken seriously. First and foremost, you have to accept the fact that this is not an exact science. It is one that is based on some 5,000 years of experience and limited research, but human beings are incredibly complex and numerology is no more than an attempt to identify and label some of the more visible aspects. There are countless variables that are too subtle and too hidden to be recognized. Therefore, it is simply not possible for a numerologist to be right 100 percent of the time. For that reason, you will have to be careful with what you say, in order to avoid harming the person who comes to you in good faith, and who may well take your words more literally than you realize. This is particularly important when you wish to explain weaknesses or shortcomings represented in a person's chart. For example, let's say that your client's chart reveals a lack of self-confidence, and that he or she compensates for that with self-indulgence, such as alcohol abuse. Instead of saying, "You lack self-confidence and you are an alcoholic," which will probably only increase your client's insecurity, and inspire him or her to reach for the bottle, you may want to point out some of the client's talents and positive characteristics. You want to motivate your client to take advantage of these talents. You want to enhance your client's confidence, and you may well decide that it would be unwise, even harmful, to mention his or her lack of confidence, saying instead: "You have much going for yourself, but you do not give yourself the credit you deserve." Job as a professional numerologist is to motivate, inspire, and elevate your client, as well as to offer your client insight into his or her make-up. I believe that a numerologist's strongest asset is a true and indiscriminating love for the client. The client almost always is a person in need of guidance and support. Someone who is happy and content is much less likely to visit a numerologist as a person who is going through a difficult time. Often, the client who comes to you, and is willing to pay for a consultation, experiences pain and confusion; is perhaps even desperate. He or she is reaching out to a

professional in the hope that a person with training and experience will shed some light on his or her confusions, will help them to cope, and perhaps even start the healing process. You may be a stranger to the client, but you will hear intimacies that are in many cases not shared with friends or relatives. You are in a position to help and comfort. You are asked for insight and wisdom, and perhaps you will be able to offer some. But more important is the opportunity to spiritually embrace the person, to touch the heart, to replace desperation with hope, and to inspire faith where there was little left. Numerology is a difficult, but intensely rewarding profession.

HABIT CHALLENGE Some Numerologists refer to this aspect as the "Point of Security". Both names describe the nature of this aspect quite well. Although it is not exactly a modifier of Core Elements, the Habit Challenge does influence the flow of energy available to them. Have you ever felt a habit or a repeated pattern that was hard to identify? No matter how aware of the pattern you became, it continued to occur over and over? Your Habit Challenge may shed some light on this subject. The Habit Challenge is just what is sounds like--a habit we feel challenged by which is usually negative. Because all numbers have a polarity as well as a balanced state, the Habit Challenge is usually experienced as an extreme (underbalanced or over-balanced) rather than a balanced vibration. Our challenge is to learn how to balance its influence. This trait then becomes positive and empowering. Often stress, confusion, and insecurity are energies that create the reactions found in the Habit Challenge. When a person becomes aware of the reactions, they can choose to bring the extremes into a nurturing and balanced state. Like all vibrations that exist within an individual chart, synergy can enhance the individual parts.

Habit Challenge Chart Determining a Habit Challenge is quite simple. It is the total letters in a name added together. In other words, rather than adding the value of each letter, like in previous lessons, we add the total number of letters together and reduce them to one single digit. Barbara 7 letters

Ann 3 letters 7 + 3 + 5 = 15 1 + 5 = 6 Habit Challenge

Kelly 5 letters

Chart Interpretation In Barbara's case we find a 6 for her Habit Challenge. We can speculate that Barbara may vacillate between the under-balanced and over-balanced aspects of the 6, attempting to balance them. She may become over-attached to her home, family, and environment. So much so that she finds it hard to extend herself beyond her familiar environment. She could also find herself giving advice, living her dreams through others, or perhaps becoming overresponsible. Another trait of an under-balanced 6 could be avoiding responsibility involving others and perhaps failing to keep appointments or obligations. When balanced a 6 Habit Challenge can become a very creative and resourceful asset to have. For ease, we created possible descriptions for each number. You may want to add to our descriptions. As creative beings, there are many possible Habit Challenge expressions. We listed a few to help you along. Have fun and see what other possible expressions you come up with.

Possible Habit Challenge Responses During this course we've asked you to use your intuition regarding how a given number would express as under-balanced or over-balanced. We'll now present some specific examples for each number. Although we are presenting these descriptions in relationship to the Habit Challenge, they are not restricted to this subject alone. The following descriptions apply to each of the numbers in context, including the Core Elements. Refer to Numerology Lesson One for the balanced descriptions. 1 Habit Challenge - Leadership: Under-balanced - insecure, dependent, passive Over-balanced - bossy, opinionated, dominating When acting in an under-balanced way, the 1 may respond in a procrastinating manner, be indecisive, and act in vacillating ways. The 1's natural assertive nature could become over-balanced and result in a response that is bossy, impatient, stubborn, impulsive, and over-attached to one’s own beliefs. 2 Habit Challenge - Peacemaking: Under-balanced - indecisive, dependent, uncertain Over-balanced - oversensitive, disapproving, unsupportive As an under-balanced response, it may be hard to maintain a sense of identity because of a desire to please. The 2 as an over-balanced response may become fussy over little things and caught up in details. 3 Habit Challenge - Expression: Under-balanced - unfocused, vacillating, anxious Over-balanced - exaggerating, gossipy, lacking in concentration As an under-balanced habit it can exaggerate, become self-indulgent, and be without direction. A 3 is creative and expressive so when it becomes an overbalanced response it can lead to scattered energies, starting many tasks, and finding it hard to focus. 4 Habit Challenge - Form: Under-balanced - disorganized, narrow, uncertain Over-balanced - headstrong, limited, antagonistic

A 4, as an under-balanced response can expect a lot of others and fail to commit itself. When over-balanced, it can become too serious and careful, often creating opposition. In addition, it could become so attached to methods that it forgets to see the big picture, getting caught up in details. 5 Habit Challenge - Freedom: Under-balanced - non progressive, cautious, doubtful Over-balanced - erratic, impulsive, careless The 5 could respond in an under-balanced way by escaping reality through indulgent means. With an over-balance response there could be a possibility of changing directions too often before results are evident. This instability could affect relationships and career. 6 Habit Challenge - Responsibility: Under-balanced - distant, self-seeking, unorganized Over-balanced - discontent, overemotional, over-responsible When the 6 is under-balanced, its response may be to avoid responsibility involving others, perhaps failing to keep appointments or obligations. The 6 Habit Challenge can become very attached to its home, family, and environment. When it becomes over-balanced, it may live through others or possibly desire to give unsolicited advice. 7 Habit Challenge - Individuality: Under-balanced - disregarded, superficial, undeveloped Over-balanced - resentful, hypercritical, secretive If responding in an under-balanced expression, it can act in over-analytical and critical ways and can even become cut off from its own deep feelings. An over-balanced response can become very detached, shut people out, and hold onto resentments. 8 Habit Challenge - Manifestation: Under-balanced - powerless, impoverished, undisciplined Over-balanced - tactless, pushy, possessive When under-balanced, material success and motivation may be lacking. When an 8 becomes over-balanced, it may take its effective work characteristics into friendships and home life. In addition, intimidation and

manipulation may become a way of attaining results as well as trying to do everything and forgetting to delegate. 9 Habit Challenge - Compassion: Under-balanced - passionless, oppressive, aloof Over-balanced - unaccountable, impractical, dreamer If expressing in an under-balanced way, it can be somewhat cold or detached, feeling that it is being broad-minded. In addition, it can become a jack of all trades and master of none. The 9 can become moody and filled with ups and downs. Over-balance can be expressed as too dreamy and impractical or too generous for its own good. A Note On Master Numbers - Both 11/2 and 22/4 can be read as either their master vibration of their digited down vibration. Master vibrations represent a much higher frequency. When a 11/2 or 22/4 cannot hold the higher frequency, they will revert to either a 2 or a 4 respectively. So, also refer to the under-balanced and over-balanced aspects of the 2 and the 4 when analyzing the 11/2 and 22/4. 11/2 Habit Challenge - Illumination: Under-balanced - aimless, fearful of psychic abilities, submissive Over-balanced - extreme nervousness, misguided, obsessed 22/4 Habit Challenge - Master Builder: Under-balanced - lethargic, spiritless, inactive Over-balanced - extreme tension, overwhelmed, controlling The purpose of pointing out the under-balanced and over-balanced traits that may occur from a Habit Challenge, is to help identify possible patterns. Once identified, an individual can become conscious and work towards balancing the negative traits into a positive and creative response rather than a reactive one. We have found that once the Habit Challenge is embraced, it can them be balanced and brought into an energy which can be an impetus for success. When working with the Habit Challenge, also pay attention to the other Core Element numbers. The Habit Challenge may be easier to balance if it has harmonious energies to help it along. If other Core Elements Are Discordant, the Habit Challenge may be a little more difficult to direct into a positive and balanced resource.
