Proposal for Theatre Workshop Title – Theatre Workshop Duration of workshop – 10 days Organisers – Department of Mass Communication and Media Studies, Gautam Buddha University Greater Noida Abstract - Acting is a constant process of learning and developing acting - especially for the theatre is a selfish act done for other people. What I want to explain that there is no point in hamming it up for an audience, without deriving any personal pleasure. An actor has to feel, to live that character to be convincing. And the most crushing thing an actor can hear is, " I do not believe myself that when I do not convince the audience there is no point doing this. While acting is a portable art form, an actor needs time to acclimatise to the space he or she is performing in. The space is like another character you work with. However, to actor's audience are really not very difficult. Acting is largely about making a connection with every person in the audience and that connection has to be made at many levels: an actor with character and through the character to the audience with the character and back to the actor. That doesn't change where you are performing Content – Tentative Schedule - Jan – Feb 2022 ● ● ● ● ● ● ●
