KI 3: Memahami, menerapkan, dan menganalisis pengetahuan faktual, konseptual, prosedural, dan metakognitif berdasarkan rasa ingin tahunya tentang ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, seni, budaya, dan humaniora dengan wawasan kemanusiaan, kebangsaan, kenegaraan, dan peradaban terkait penyebab fenomena dan kejadian, serta menerapkan pengetahuan prosedural pada bidang kajian yang spesifik sesuai dengan bakat dan minatnya untuk memecahkan masalah.

Kompetensi Dasar Menerapkan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan teks interaksi interpersonal lisan dan tulis yang melibatkan tindakan memberikan ucapan selamat dan memuji bersayap (extended congratulation), serta menanggapinya, sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya. Menyusun teks interaksi interpersonal lisan dan tulis sederhana yang melibatkan tindakan memberikan ucapan selamat dan memuji bersayap (extended congratulation), dan menanggapinya dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan yang benar dan sesuai konteks.



C. Tujuan Pembelajaran



   



Indikator Peserta didik dapat menemukan ungkapan yang digunakan dalam kalimat pujian (compliment). Peserta didik mampu menyusun kalimat menggunakan frasa kata sifat (adjective phrase). Peserta didik mampu membuat kalimat sederhana yang memuat ungkapan pujian dan merespon pujian. Peserta didik mampu menyusun dialog terkait memberikan ucapan pujian dan merespon.



Setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran, peserta didik diharapkan dapat: 1. Siswa dapat menyebutkan ekspresi untuk mengucapkan selamat dan pujian. 2. siswa dapat menggunakan grammar yang tepat dalam ekspresi selamat dan pujian. 3. siswa dapat berbicara expressing congratulations and compliment dengan pengucapan yang tepat.



D. Materi Pembelajaran



1. Congratulating Expressions: Pengertian : Congratulating is an expression that is used to to congratulate someone when he or she has achieved something. Social Function of Congratulating : To congratulate someone about his/her achievement. Generic Structure of Congratulating : - To develop interaction and communications with others. - To express our happiness or positive feeling about your success. - To respond to someone’s achievement or success. Languange Features of Congratulating : Saying congratulating expression and responses. For Example : - In Expression :- Congratulations - I’m very happy of you - That’s wonderful - Good of you - Etc. - In Responses : - It’s very good of you to say so - Thank you, I can’t forget your help to me - How nice of you to say so - Thank you very much for saying so - Etc. In congratulating, people may make more than one move, For example : “ Congratulations! You deserved it, Man. “ Similarly in responding to Congratulating Expressions, people do not only make one move, like “Thank you very much”. Usually they also say something else, such as, “ This is because you’re always with me”. Those expressions are called as extended Congratulations/Responses to congratulations (Pujian Bersayap). 2. Compliment Expressions: Pengertian : Compliments is an expression to appreciate or praise other people. Compliment is useful to give encouragement so that people will keep on doing their best and even improve their performance . Social Function of Complimenting : - To improve relationship between people. - To give compliment or encouragement. Generic Structure of Compliment : - Expression: The beginning of expression (in this case, in the video) for example: How is your business? - Response: The feedback of the expression (in the video) For example: Its good. I have sold 100 items these two days. Language Features of Complimenting : The use of Adjective, for example: Beautiful, Nice, Clever, Smart, Amazing, Etc.

G. Langkah-langkah Pembelajaran Tahap Kegiatan Pre-Activity (10 Menit)

Langkah-langkah pembelajaran  Memberi salam dan mengajak peserta didik untuk mengawali kegiatan dengan berdoa,  Guru menyampaikan tentang tujuan pembelajaran atau kompetensi dasar yang akan dicapai  Apersepsi dan motivasi tentang pentingnya mempunyai ketrampilan bahasa inggris di era global dan menyampaikan keterkaitan dengan pengenalan diri sendiri.  Guru menyampaikan materi yang akan dipelajari yaitu tentang congratulating and complimenting Peserta didik menyimak video percakapan tentang Kegiatan Congratulating and complimenting dan membaca skrip Literasi percakapan dari video tersebut.

Peserta didik mencatat kosakata yang mereka dengar dan guru memberikan intruksi untuk menemukan kalimat pujian dan merespon pujian dalam video Peserta didik dapat membaca dialog bersama-sama.



Communication



Peserta didik mengerjakan soal yang diberikan oleh guru.



Guru dan peserta didik membuat kesimpulan mengenai materi congratulating dan complimenting.  Peserta didik merefleksikan dan membuat rangkuman tentang materi congratulating dan complimenting  Kegiatan ditutup dengan doa dan salam.

Desi : Hi, Andi. How are you doing? Andi : I am fine, thanks. Desi : It’s very nice to meet you here, Andi. You look great today! I love your new hair style. Andi : Thank you very much, Desi. You look great, too.



Desi : Thanks, Andi. By the way, how was your test? Have you got the result? Andi : Yes, I’ve got it. You know what? I have passed for the final test. I’m so happy right now. Desi : That’s great. Congratulations! How’s the score? Andi : Thanks God. I got the highest score for the test. Desi : Wow, that’s amazing. I know you are very smart, Andi. Well done! Andi : Thanks for your compliment, Desi. You are so kind. Desi : Never mind Andi. It’s my pleasure.



Situation 2: Andi has won the national novel writing competition. The next day, Riska and Joko come to his house to congratulate him Riska : Is it true what the newspaper’s headline said?
