The honorable mrs. Yani Kamasturyani, SKM,.MH.Kes as chairman STIKes mahardika Cirebon The honorable mrs.Ns. Dwiyanti Purbasari,M.Kep The honorable mr. Jaenudin SKM.MPH The honorable lecturers and friends I love First of all let us praise and thank the presence of Allah SWT, for the abundance of grace and the joy of all of us can still gather in this place without any barriers at all and in good health. Not forgetting the Sholawat and greetings we pour out to the prophet Muhammad who has brought us out of the dark ages to the era of bright light today, namely Islam. May we all get intercession on the end. Aamiin.. Before the speech, let me introduce my self my name is Risma i`m midwifery student in STIKes Mahardika Cirebon. On this occasion, allow me standing here to deliver a couple of sentence speech about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). What are the sustainable development goals? The sustainable development goals (SDGs) otherwise known as the global goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The 17 goals build on the success of the millennium development goals, while including new areas such as climate change, innovation, sustainable consumption, peace and justice, among other priorities. The goals are interconnected-often the key to success on will one will involve tackling issues more commonly associated with another. The SDGs work in the spirit of partnership and pragmatism to make the right choices now to improve life, in a sustainable way, for future generation. They provide clear guidelines and targets for all countries to adopt and the environmental challenges of the world at large. The SDGs are an inclusive agenda. They tackle the root causes of poverty and unite us together to make a positive change for both people and planet. In 17 point SDGs, I will take one point that is about gender equality, why? Because in the of midwifery related to women. We can celebrate the great progress the world has made in becoming more prosperous and fair. But there`s shadow to the celebration. In just about every way, women and girls lag behind. There are still gross inequalities in work and wages. Lots of unpaid “women`s work” for

example domestic work, and discrimination decisions-making. But there are grounds for hope. More girls are in school now compared to in 2000. Most regions have reached gender parity in primary education. The percentage of women getting paid for their work is on the rise. Gender equality is more than a goal in it self, it is the precondition for ending poverty. Building peaceful societies and achieving sustainable development. Yet women are still subjected to discrimination an violence and harmful practices such as child marriage and they carry out most of the domestic and unpaid care work. Goals gender equality is to give women a say in the decisions that inform their lives, to participate fully in the economy and have access to technology. We need laws, policies, and services. Sustainable development goals 5 achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. I apologize if in delivering speech there a mistake, thank for his attention.
