Themes Motion: THBT SMK Is Better Than SMA 1st Speaker Of Affirmative team: I strongly believe that SMK is better than SMA. SMK is a school in Indonesia that focusing on its major to create new freshmen that have both skills and knowlege in their majoring. SMA is a school in Indonesia that focusing only in the knowlegde in their majoring. So that is why SMK could get more easier job by their majoring basedon its peupose and motto “SMK Bisa”. But SMA students need to continue their study to college level to focusing on the majoring and than they could get the job by it. The implicative of SMK can rechanged the new high and fastest level on education in reaching the best solution on jobless in Indonesia. 1st Speaker Of Negative team: I don’t agree with the motion that SMK is better than SMA. By seeing its quality of education SMA has higher level on quality far from SMK. SMK is a new sistem program created by goverment to make a ready-freshmen worker. But in fact, the its quality is opposite to their misiion. But you can see the sistem of SMA in Indonesia. They focus on only knowledge, but the school can create a good quality of its purpose so they take 85 person quotes in the University level. 2nd Speaker Of Affirmative team: Rebuttle: No, i don’t agrre with you. You thought and said that both sistem is different. But then you said the its purpose was failed by seeing SMK point of view. You can’t compare the persentages of the number of students that accepted in University with the persentage of freshmen woker of SMK in knowledge. You must see how big the number of dreshmen from SMK that being accepted to be employees in company! I would like to delivered my sPeech from the effectiveness of SMK on creating qualified worker. SMK took an unique education sistem that they do acceleration on how student after graduation from school can directly get a job and qualified. If you see that SMA, they need 4 years more to get a job after the graduation. It means that SMK get effective way on create new qualified worker than SMA. 2nd Speaker Of Negative team: Rebuttle: I dn’t agree with the material on delivering of 2nd speker of affirmative tem. He doesn’t know how big freshmen from SMK who failed on applying a job. SMA also can directly get a job after they graduate from high school. It means the effectiveness of your delivery still non sense. But seeing on my point of view, the SMA is a doubled degree of graduation. You can easily continue to the university level easier than SMK and you can get a job as you want. It means, if you failed from the examination of application on university and you need a money. You can make a money to apply in the company.



So many company accepted from freshmen of SMA. Thay don’t see why the goverment make the 60:60 SMK:SMA in the future by 2008. It just because the SMK is the new hopes to Indonesia and applicable on education to create a new freshmen and worker on company without taking first college level degree. And my second speaker said that the effetiveness of SMK student to be qualified worker. Let’s us imagine that Student of SMK from automotive engineering can work as mechanic. But the student from SMA cannot work as mechanic even just apply to the company by its requirement. It means it is so effective. 3rd Speaker Of Negative team: Rebuttle: If yes the SMK is better, why the image of good quality is taking by SMA level. Does it proven you? So all the rebuttle of 3rd speaker is still can not prove their team. The higher level is the higher qualified. So when SMA student took higher level on college degree. They would have good qualified on working. So that is why the student from SMK if work in the company just can be a low level position like mechanic, shop keeper,etc. But ehen student of SMA graduate from University they applied to company they work as manager of workshop (Leader of mechanic), and Manager of Shop (leader of shop keeper). So this proves that SMA better than SMK. Speker 4 of Negative team: By seeing my team’s point of view. We straightly go to the red line on how effective of SMA levels on creating better freshmen. Have you ever noticed that with every year of school comes a new issue related to bullying? Bullying has been a problem for a long time and it is getting worse every year. Surveys have shown that every day, more than 150,000 students skip school because they are afraid they will be bullied. Bullying has extended far beyond school and has stepped to a more pathetic stage. Throwing back to the most severe bullying case spread on the internet, The Suicide of Amanda Todd, a teenage girl from Canada who experienced bullying when she was in 7th grade. She had recieved both cyber and physical bullying, even tried to commit suicide. Then, she posted a video on Youtube entitled My Story : Struggling, bullying, suicide and self-harm and went viral after her death on October 2012. Unwanted aggression comes in many forms such as threats, harshness, coercity and perceived power imbalance. When these aggressions are repeated, they become bullying. There are currently two modes of bullying: direct and indirect. Direct bullying happens in the presence of the victim while indirect bullying happens behind the victim’s back, usually in the form of rumors. Within the two modes of bullying lies the four types: physical, verbal, cyber and social. Bullying happens in one way or another almost everywhere there is social interaction. There are at least three roles in every bullying situation and all parties involved suffer the effects. First, victims of bullying are more likely to experience depression, anxiety, loneliness, health issues, a decrease in academic achievement and may even skip classes or drop out of school. Second, the actual bullies may engage in violent and risky behaviors well into adulthood; some of them may experience abuse of drugs and alcohol, get into fights, have criminal convictions and be abusive to their family and spouses. Third, the bystander—the one who witnesses bullying—they are likely to suffer from mental and health problems, and turn to addictive behaviors such as smoking, drug abuse and alcoholism. Perhaps the greatest and most unfortunate examples of the effects of bullying is when the victims decide to take revenge in extremely violent ways. It has been found that in twelve of the fifteen school shooting cases during the 1990s, the shooters had a history of being bullied. Bullying is most prevalent in schools, especially middle and high school. Indonesia has a higher bullying rate than the rest of Asia. One in three females and 1 out of 4 males in Indonesia have experienced bullying which means females report bullying more often than males. Shouldn’t the females be the ones who are supposed to be protected the most? The reasons for bullying usually lie in the small differences that make people different from each other; mostly on the basis of race, tribe, color, gender, religion, sexuality or ability. Bullies will exaggerate these differences and then find the victim’s weaknesses in order to prove they are somehow inferior. Bullying is easier now than ever and is getting more severe with the advent of the internet. Internet rumors can spread in seconds. It is easier for bullies to target victims over the internet in what is called cyber-bullying. Bullying needs to be stopped and prevented. It should be a parent’s responsibility to guide and teach their children to be a good friend with everyone. The schools themselves should also develop anti-bullying circles and make students aware of the dangers of bullying. They should give bullies the appropriate discipline and provide rehabilitation for victims. In conclusion, bullying is just the ego beating in ourself. It is a senseless act that may lead to extreme violence and cause trauma for everyone involved. Perhaps self-control is the best way to stop and prevent bullying. As teenagers we have to think forward, think about the big dreams we want to achieve and about the future we will face.

The Internet has millions of smaller domestic, academic, business, and government networks, which together carry many different kinds of information. The term is sometimes abbreviated as “the net”. The World Wide Web is one of its biggest services. It is used by a few billion people all over the world. The Internet was developed in the United States by the “United States Advanced Research Projects Agency” (DARPA). Internet was first connected in October 1969 and was called ARPANET. The World Wide Web was created at CERN in Switzerland in 1990 by a British (UK) scientist named Tim Berners-Lee. Today, people can pay money to access the Internet from internet service providers. Some services on the Internet cost nothing to use. Sometimes people who offer these free services use advertising to make money from them. Censorship and freedom of speech on the Internet can be controversial. Services on the internet The Internet is used for many things, such as electronic mail, online chat, file transfer, and the interlinked web pages and other documents of the World Wide Web. The most used service on the Internet is the World Wide Web (which is also called the “Web”). The Web contains websites, including blogs and wikis like Wikipedia. Web pages on the Internet can be seen and read by anyone (unless the page needs a password, or it is blocked). The second biggest use of the Internet is to send and receive e-mail. E-mail is private and goes from one user to another. Instant messaging (such as AIM or ICQ) is similar to email but allows two or more people to chat to each other faster. Some governments think the Internet is a bad thing, and block all or part of it. For example, the Chinese government thinks that Wikipedia is bad. Many times no one in China can read it or add to it. Some parents block parts of the Internet they think are bad for children to see. Well-known examples of the whole internet being blocked are in North Korea. Dangers on the Internet The Internet makes communication easy, and communication can be dangerous too. People often send secret information, and sometimes other people can steal that information. They can use the Internet to spread lies or stolen secrets or dangerously bad advice. For example, Facebook has had some problems with privacy settings. A person can post information on the website, but this is often a bad idea unless the person is very sure of what they are doing. One way to check for a secure website is to make sure the URL starts with https:// instead of http://. This means it is secured so other people cannot read information while it is being sent. However, it does not mean the website will do things to keep it safe. 







Some websites may trick people into downloading viruses that can harm a computer or spyware that spies on its users (looks at what they are doing and tells someone else). E-mails can also have harmful files with them as “attachments”. In internet chatrooms, people might be preying on others or trying to stalk or abuse them.

Don’t fill in private information, if you don’t want people to know about it. There are laws protecting you from websites that just sell on your information, but if you give personal information out without being sure that it will be properly used you only have yourself to blame. 3. Not everyone likes the same things and the more unusual your preferences, the harder it will be to find friends. We should work on creating better policies to deal with rude people, but we should not go back to the old situation where people who are different in some way end up feeling isolated and lonely. 4. It’s better to sit indoors and actively research and surf online than to sit in front of a television and passively take in what the TV company decided you should watch. 20 years ago people used to worry kids spent too much time inside watching TV, but viewing hours have dropped as people choose to use the internet instead. There are lots of educational games and news sites we can browse around and learn from in a much more effective way than television could ever provide. Furthermore,
