Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. For the fuze, insert a pipe cleaner, cut to about 2 inches, into the grey piece. There will be a little bit sticking out but insert it into the top of the firecracker. With the tail, sew the fuze to the firecracker. For the sparks on top: Use an extra small pom pom maker to make a pom pom. Sew to the top of the fuze. If you don’t have a pom pom maker, you can sew scraps of yellow and orange yarn on top instead.

Hair Make 7 strands- Cut strips of yarn about 4 inches long. Insert the hook into the stitches behind the horn and grab the center. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. For the candle, insert a pipe cleaner, cut to about 2 inches, into the magenta piece. There will be a little bit sticking out but insert it into the top of the cake, right in the magic ring. With the tail, sew the candle to the cake.
To make the flame, take a scrap of yellow yarn and weave it through with the yarn needle to the magic ring of the candle. Make sure it’s secured with a knot. Then fluff the flame up to look more realistic.

Approx 2.5 inches tall, 2.5 inches long and 1 inch wide
Boat Using light blue yarn, Ch 15. Row 1: In 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across. (14 sts) Ch 1 and turn.
Row 2-14: Sc 14. Ch 1 and turn. To make a clean edge, Sc around the edge, making sure to place 2 sc in each corner. Fasten off and weave in the tails.
To make the sailboat: Fold the bottom right hand corner up towards the upper left corner. Almost like making a triangle but don’t fold in half completely. Then with the bottom left hand corner and upper right hand corner, bring those two corners together on the back. With the tail and yarn needle, sew the two corners together. Add safety eyes between the rows right near the edge. For one of the eyes, insert into both the side of the boat and the sail. Sew on mouth.
