ACCESSIBILITY



The IUP OP of PT. AMI located at Pomala area, Kolaka district at the western part of Kendari City with distance approx. 181 – 185 km or 4,27 hours land travel, trough province road. Other acces from Jakarta – Makassar – Kendari – Pomala by an aeroplane journey on 4 hours, and than carry on with land travel to the IUP OP PT. AMI as far as 14 km.



LEGALITY STATUS



PT. AMI obtained a Production Operation permit from the Kolaka Regent with a SK. 214 Tahun 2009 and is valid for 20 years up to 9/7/2029, an area of 225 hectare and has already received a CnC certificate.



FORESTRY STATUS



Almost the entire area of PT. AMI is in APL (other uses land areas) based on a decree on utilization of production forest SK. 2382/Menhut-VI/BRUPK/2015 Sulawesi Tenggara. So that it does not require a permit from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the utilization of natural resources



GEOLOGY INFORMATION



Almost 90% areal IUP OP PT. AMI laid on Ultramafic complex which are composed by harzburgite, lherzolite, wehrlite, websterite, dunite, gabro, diabase and serpentinite rocks – based on Geological map Kolaka sheet. The ultramafic rocks as assosiation in the form of nickel laterite (process of chemical weathering, dissolving and enriching nickel ore).



STUDY GEOMORPHOLOGY



The area of IUP OP PT. AMI is a denudation hill with gentle to moderate slopes (15 to 20%) at an altitude of 10 meter to 100 meters above sea level, with a sub. dendritic flow pattern and composed of ultramafic rock. According to the rock units and slope factors in which has an active role in the process of weathering & chemical dissolution of ultramafic rocks, resulting in the enrichment of weathered zones by Ni and Fe elements

The track shipments of nickel ore to smelters PT. Virtue Dragon Nickel Indonesia using a barge as far as 200nmil or 50 hours sailing time / 2 days sailing time



RECOMMENDATION 1.



IUP OP PT. AMI located at Pomala area is 1.213 Ha, has already CnC certified with an valid period of IUP OP up to September 7, 2029 and grandted by Regent of Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.

Determination of cost of goods sold IUP OP PT. AMI is needed more complete supporting data, especially the amount of remaining mining reserves in c.o.g of nickel ore, regulation of MEMR in the current year and bid price related to cooperation from the owner.
