INTRODUCTION A.BACKGROUND Field Work Practice (PKL) is one of the activities that can add to the knowledge, discipline, responsibility, honesty and technology obtained in Vocational Schools (SMK) with outside or field conditions. Field Work Practice Objectives are long-term development goals in Indonesia in order to create quality, skilled, independent, creative, innovative and privateminded human resources. For that, education and application of the world of education and industry world are required through the PKL program. The SMK Negeri 1 Binangun program in Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) aims to produce skilled workers in the industrial era in the future, in order to produce skilled graduates and be able to carry out tasks in their fields, especially industrial technology. Aside from being one of the requirements to take the UNBK / UN, as well as to understand the basics of the industrial world, the introduction of industry concepts, the introduction of industrial order. B.GOALS & BENEFITS 

GOALS 1. Providing real provision for vocational middle school students in the field of Light Vehicle Engineering program to further develop science. 2. Increase in the absorption of something new in globalization. 3. Add mental and skills and abilities to try or work so that students can become reliable candidates in the business world. 4. Train discipline and responsibility for the work done. 5. Can compare what you learned at school and in the business world.

 BENEFITS The purpose of carrying out industrial work practices (Prakerin) which is realized in work in a company. In addition to being one of the final project

requirements for industrial work practices (industrial apprenticeship), industrial work practices are also activities of students to seek work experience before entering the real world of work, which is reflected in education. nationally based on the Pancasila which aims to improve intelligence, creativity and skills in order to foster people who can build themselves and be responsible for the development of the nation and state in achieving an improved economy and prosperous life. C.PROBLEM STATEMENT 1.what tools are used to treatment and repair radiator cooling system? 2.how procedure to treatment and repair radiator cooling system? D.STRUCTURE A.INTRODUCTION 1.Background 2.Goal and benefits 3.Problem Statement 4.Structure B.CONTENT C.CONCLUSION 1.Conlusion 2.Recomendation

CONTENT The tools and materials used to dismantle car radiators are as follows: A. Tools 1. Wrench / Ring 2. Screwdriver (-) (+) 3. Fabric 4. Brush steel 5. Solder 6. Radiator Cup Tester 7. Stove 8. Thermometer

B. Material 1. Cleaning fluid 2. Clean water

C. Cooling System Maintenance Steps The steps to maintain / service the car cooling system are as follows: 1. Prepare SST (Special Service Tools) to check the leakage of the water cooling system which is generally called the Universal Radiator Pressure Cooling System Leak Tester. 2. Check the capacity of cooling water in the backup tank (reservoir tank). The surface of the cooling media must be between the low and full lines in a cold engine state. If the amount of cooling water is lacking, check the leak and add cooling media to the full line 3. Remove the radiator cap. Cover the radiator cover with a wet cloth for safety and ease of work. When opening the radiator lid,

the machine must be cold. If the radiator cap is opened in a hot state, pressurized liquid and steam will spray out. 4. Check the radiator cover by installing the radiator cap on the radiator cap tester. Then do pumping and measure the opening pressure of the vacuum valve. Standard opening pressure: 0.75 - 1.05 kg / cm2. And minimum opening pressure: 0.6 kg / cm2. 5. Check the leakage on the radiator by filling the radiator with cooling media, then attach the radiator cap tester to the radiator filling hole. Then pump the radiator cap tester to a pressure of 1.2 kg / cm2, and check that the pressure does not go down. If the pressure drops, there is a leak in the radiator or the radiator component. Therefore it is necessary to check leakage on the radiator and water pump. If no leak is found, the radiator is in normal condition. 6. Check the pipes and soldered parts of the upper and lower tanks for possible leakage, if necessary repaired or replaced. 7. Check the fin and core of the radiator and repair the fins that block the water channel by using a flat screwdriver. 8. Pay attention to the cooling water flow channel, especially on the connections between the radiator and radiator hose, between the pump and the radiator hose and some parts of the cooling water duct. 9. If a radiatorhose leak is found, it needs to be replaced, and or if a leak occurs around the connection, the locking clamps must be tightened. 10. Check the thermostat, remove the water outlet (top rubber hose). Then remove the thermostat's home cover, use the ring lock and then remove the thermostat from its place. 11. Tie the thermostat to the thread, then dip the thermostat into the water and heat the water gradually, then check the temperature of the valve opening using a thermometer. Valve opening temperature: 80 ° - 90 ° C. If the tempera- ture of opening the valve does not meet specifications, the thermostat needs to be replaced.

Water Cooling System Treatment / Service Treatment of water cooling systems includes: A. Tools 1. Flatback Screwdriver 2. Radiator Cap Testter B. Material 1. Clean Water C. Examination Steps 2. Inspection of pipes and soldered parts of the upper and lower tanks from the possibility of leaking, if necessary repaired or replaced. 3. Check the fin and core of the radiator and repair the fins that block the water channel by using a flat screwdriver. 4. If the clogged from the core exceeds 20 percent the radiator must be replaced. 5. Check the radiator hose and if it turns out to be damaged or hard it must be replaced.

Radiator Cover Treatment 1. Check the condition of the radiator cap parts 2. Wash the dirty radiator cap with water 3. Install the test on the radiator cover. Select the adapter pipe neck with the depth corresponding to the radiator cap. 4. Apply pressure to the lid until the release valve starts opening. Compare the pressure with the one written on the lid. Wait a few seconds, the pressure can't go down fast.

water pumps Treatment 1. For water pump services, it is carried out by disassembling, cleaning, replacing leaky seals, ensuring their density and reassembling. To understand the water pump can be seen the water pump parts as shown below. Thermostat Treatment To service the thermostat done by: 1. Open the thermostat from the cooling system. 2. Check the thermostat by placing the thermostat in a place that contains water. 3. Check the temperature at the opening of the valve by increasing the temperature of the water little by little. The thermostat must be replaced if there is damage. 4. Reinstall the thermostat on the system.

CONCLUSION From the description of the Industrial Work Practice report (PRAKERIN), the following conclusions can be drawn: 1. Industrial work practice activities (apprenticeship) is a learning activity to practice what has been obtained in the school and educate students to work in the future. 2. Industrial Work Practice Activities carried out at the UPT Workforce Training for Manpower and Transmigration in Cirebon Regency, well, with the hope of being able to recognize equipment, vehicle components and be able to assist mechanics in repairing vehicles. Prachine activity is a place to practice independence and adult learning. 3. The cooling system in a car vehicle has an important role, because the heat that produces from the combustion process is only 25% which is used to be effective work, the rest heat is lost with the exhaust gas about 34%, heat is wasted due to cooling process 32%, due to pumping 3%, and due to 6% friction ... 4. To keep the cooling system functioning properly, it is necessary to maintain maintenance periodically, according to the Tune-up schedule.

CONCLUSION

1) With the existence of our technical internship, we get direct knowledge of science. 2) We can find out the industrial management that is applied in the industry. 3) We can interpret the knowledge we get at school and in the industrial world. 4) SMK gives us special skills to be able to travel the future. 5) CBS is able to produce quality, professional, productive and ready to work human resources.

SUGGESTIONS

1) For student apprenticeship always obey the rules in school or in the industrial world. 2) Do the job according to the SOP. 3) Do not take actions that tend to cause damage or loss. 4) For schools to prepare students for maximum practicing.
