OPERATORS MODE Depending on whether the service attachment is activated the working mode display can show either the mode only or the attachment symbol with the mode. This is displayed in the top left hand corner of the screen.

OPERATORS MODE The top three symbols are displayed next to the gauge displays These can be either white if the level is low or red if the level is too high The other symbols are shown initially as a large symbol in the centre of the screen for a few seconds and then they are displayed in their normal display location whilst the function is activated.

Green is normal condition

OPERATORS MODE Caution Symbols are displayed initially at start up and the system carries out a check , then as long as there is no fault the symbols disappear. If a fault occurs during operation then the symbol is displayed in the centre of the screen and it replaces the centre gauge.

When the maintenance symbol appears the operator should contact his Komatsu dealer.

OPERATORS MODE If the maintenance warning symbol displays or if the status requires checking then the keypad button 6 is pressed and the maintenance function is displayed .

OPERATORS MODE

If Number displayed is Yellow then the maintenance time is near.(< 30 hours) If the number displayed is red then the time for maintenance is due.

Once selection is made to the specific maintenance item we can reset it by pressing enter and confirming the selection.

OPERATORS MODE When a failure occurs on the machine the User code E02,E03,E05 can be displayed This is followed by the telephone number and the 6 digits failure code

OPERATORS MODE The electrical failure codes can be deleted from the monitor history but the mechanical failure code are on for the life of the machine. See Service mode for further information on the failure codes.

OPERATORS MODE Attachment control When an attachment is installed and the function is enabled on the monitor panel, the flow and pressure going to the attachment can be altered by the operator. When in A and E Mode the flow is adjustable between 30~430 L/min. The safety valve on the service segment is also kept at the high setting in this mode. In Breaker mode the flow can be set to 3 levels and then adjusted within each level giving a flow adjustment between 70~210 L/min. When B mode is selected the flow is adjusted automatically and the pressure is reduced to the lower setting on the service safety valve.

A maximum of 2 can be displayed at once. When displaying a measurement item only 1 on/off display can be shown.

SERVICE MODE 2. Abnormality Record (electrical) The machine monitor stores two types of failure information 1. Electrical failures. 2. Mechanical failure. To access the information select, “ 02 Abnormality record” from within the Service mode and you will see the screen displaying the choice of failure codes. A max of 20 codes can be stored then the oldest code is erased. 1/2

SERVICE MODE 7. Adjustment. From within the service mode the adjustment section allows the service technician to carry various adjustments to the machines performance.

SERVICE MODE 7. Adjustment. Governor motor adjustment The ability to ensure the governor motor is kept at maximum RPM setting is required to ensure the linkage between the Governor motor and the fuel injection pump is correct. To activate this function carry out the following :1. Ensure fuel dial is at maximum 2. Set the monitor panel the the adjustment selection 3. Adjust the length of the linkage to ensure lever touches the stop. See the shop manual for detailed instructions

SERVICE MODE 7. Adjustment. Pump absorption torque Due to machine tolerances the pump absorption torque can be adjusted to suit the machine. Using the Up/Down button selection can be made to the torque absorbed by the pump.

SERVICE MODE 7. Adjustment. Low idle speed adjustment The low idle setting on the governor can also be adjusted suit the operator to the values shown below.

SERVICE MODE 7. Adjustment. Service current adjustment During compound operation between the boom raise spool and the service spool the distribution of the flow from the hydraulic pump would choose to go to the service spool , therefore the ability to alter the flow distribution is given in the monitor panel . By selecting the different values below we alter the balance of flow between the spools.
