1. Calibration Overview All new equipment installations will require that M101-5401 MAIN CPU board be adjusted. If you are comfortable with your evaluation of kV/mA output findings, proceed to AEC & mAs procedures. ALL Radieq Co.,Ltd. EQUIPMENT IS PRE-CALIBRATED AT THE FACTORY. THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES ARE PROVIDE ONLY IN EVENT THAT THE UNIT FAILS TO MEET SPECIFICATIONS. It is recommended that all electrical and mechanical adjustments be checked annually. When performing the following procedures, follow the sequence at which the procedure is given, as well as its content. It is suggested that you calibrate the equipment annually, first verify the performance to determine whether or not a complete calibration is required. Always begin by checking the kV/mA/mAs DIGITAL REGERENCE SIGNAL that were recorded on the "DATA SHEET". You can either spot check or verify all selected ranges for output comparison for what was recorded on the "DATA SHEET" on the initial installation or previous calibration. Always start with a new copy of the "DATA SHEET" and add it to the equipment records. In the event the CPU(IC1,Main CPU Board) is replaced or the Non-volatile RAM should fail, the information on the "DATA SHEET" will reduce the number of X-ray's required to re-calibrate the mammography unit. By following the procedures, we are actually reprogramming the information fund in the RAM memory. This allows us to fine tune the broad exposure information supplied to the buffer from Non-volatile RAM chip. The information in the Non-volatile RAM will be maintained even with power off by inner the battery back-up system. Should this system fail for whatever reason, the RAM memory will be lost and no exposure can take place. In this event, the programming must be re-supplied to the Non-volatile RAM from the ROM memory and the kV and mA calibration performed again. Having recorded all of the data on the "DATA SHEET" and within this section of the manual, you should be able to quickly restore the conditions within a very short time.

Date Installed : Caution:

Do not apply power without first checking that all boards are properly seated and all connectors and wires are connected exactly, damaged could occur to the unit.

Changing the Power Regulator (PSU1) supply voltages can result in a change in the calibration of the mammography unit. Record below the initial PWR supply voltage setting, if a PWR supply is replaced adjust it to the recorded value below to avoid extensive re-calibration. 1) Turn on the line breaker on the Control Box side. 2) Check that all power supply voltages present, do not change outputs if they are within the tolerance of 2%: +5VDC

1.1.3.Evaluation Film Quality ( Density ) The quality control test of a film development machine is performed, and after checking that the parameter of a film development machine is in control within the limits, the function of automatic exposure control (AEC) is checked by performing phantom photography and checking film density. The MX-600 is designed to provide consistent densities on film across the full spectrum of tissue densities、regardless of breast size. Normally adjusted to provide an optical density of 1.4 at AEC mode, it can be adjusted to any density specified. This can be done to suit particular tastes or to compensate for processing irregularities etc..

1.2. Cleaning and disinfection Caution:

When performing cleaning and disinfection, it is required to turn off a power supply input.

1.2.1 Cleaning The parts that contact a patient among the parts of equipment must be cleaned before each use. Please make cloth become wet with neutral detergent thinned with water, and wipe equipment. . Please do not use a cleanser containing abrasive and cleaning liquid containing organic solvents or solvents (for example, benzene, a stain-removal solvent).

Please do not hang a spray on equipment! cleaning equipment cleaning liquid.

In any case, don’t permeate

1.2.2.Disinfection Immerse the compression paddle, the magnification kit and the Bucky devices into a cleaning disinfection solution of minimum 2.4% glutaldehyde (ex. CIDEX, Omnicide., etc.) in a separate container for 45 minutes in every 14 days. Make sure the surface is completely moistened. After that take it off and rinse it with the clean water.

Caution:

1. Switch off the device before disinfecting . Disconnect it from the mains. 2. Take care that no liquid gets into the equipment. 3. If you put into the disinfection fluid too long, the life time of the compression paddles, the magnification kit and the Bucky device are reduced. 4. Do not perform the disinfection with E.O. Gas. 5.
