Muhammad Iqbal Basri Anatomist and Neurologist Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University Bumi Tirta Nusantara, Makassar (90231) Indonesia Email:

Fukuoka, June 12th 2017 To Whom It May Concern: I write this letter on behalf of Raisul Maarif who is applying for Global Health True Leaders 2.0 program in Surakarta. I have known Raisul more personally when he was working under my supervision as a lecturing assistant in Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University since 2012. My account here on his academic achievement might help you in deciding his candidacy to become one of the fellows in the program. Throughout my career, I have met many potential young people, including Raisul. He took his role, not only in young academic lives, but also in social communities. As young as he is, he has written several scientific papers and posters in which one of them was published in anatomy conference proceeding book in Airlangga University. He has also become social activist and taken role as volunteer in several health organizations. Raisul seems to have a strong interest in leadership. Participating this great program will give him a chance to improve his expertise to be a professional leader and a good opportunity to network with other scholars. His self-confidence, yet humble in his attitude toward other people, will support him in communicating with other scholars in the program. His concern about health problems will help him survive in the program. Some of his experiences in social communities will enable him to communicate well with other scholars. In conclusion, I do believe that he will become one important member for the promising future of health generation for this country. I recommend highly that he receives the scholarship for the program.

Sincerely,

Muhammad Iqbal Basri, MD, Sp.S, M.Kes Head of Department of Anatomy Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, Indonesia
