A. PENDAHULUAN Penyajian buku publikasi Buletin Statistik Perdagangan Luar Negeri Ekspor menurut HS Februari 2021 terdiri dari : -

B. DAERAH PENCATATAN Daerah pencatatan statistik dalam publikasi ini meliputi seluruh wilayah Republik Indonesia.
C. SUMBER DATA Data Ekspor dikumpulkan berdasarkan dokumen ekspor atau Pemberitahuan Ekspor Barang (PEB) yang diisi oleh Eksportir dan telah diberikan ijin muat oleh Kantor Pelayanan Bea dan Cukai, selanjutnya dikirim ke Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) dan Bank Indonesia (BI). Sejak tahun 2015, sumber data lainnya adalah catatan instansi lain, PT. POS Indonesia, dan survei ekspor perbatasan laut.

D. SISTEM PERDAGANGAN Pencatatan Statistik Perdagangan Luar Negeri menggunakan sistem perdagangan umum (General Trade) dimana pencatatan dilakukan dari dokumen PEB dan non PEB yang dimuat dari pelabuhan di seluruh wilayah Indonesia termasuk kawasan berikat.
E. RUANG LINGKUP Pencatatan Statistik Ekspor meliputi seluruh barang yang keluar dari wilayah Republik Indonesia, baik yang bersifat komersial maupun bukan komersial seperti bantuan barang kredit lunak, hadiah dan sebagainya. a. Ekspor kapal laut dan pesawat udara termasuk dalam statistik ekspor

SISTEM PENGOLAHAN
Data dalam publikasi ini mencakup dokumen-dokumen ekspor periode pencatatan Februari 2021 yang diterima Badan Pusat Statistik, yang terdiri dari dokumen kepabeanan (PEB) dan dokumen dari sumber lainnya (non PEB).

G. KLASIFIKASI JENIS BARANG Penggolongan barang di dalam publikasi periode Februari 2021 ini menggunakan Klasifikasi menurut Buku Tarif Kepabeanan Indonesia 2017 (BTKI-2017) yang didasarkan atas Harmonized System (HS) merupakan pembaruan dari BTKI tahun 2012. Versi yang terakhir ini mengalami perubahan yang relatif besar dibanding sistem pengkodean versi sebelumnya yaitu penggolongan barang dari 10 digit menjadi 8 digit serta perubahan pada penggolongan/pengelompokan barang maupun pendefinisiannya.

Nilai barang yang dicatat untuk Statistik Ekspor adalah nilai FOB (dolar AS).
Sejak tahun 1975 ekspor disajikan dalam berat bersih (kg).
K. NEGARA TUJUAN Yang dimaksud dengan negara tujuan adalah negara tujuan akhir (last known destination) yang diketahui dimana barang tersebut akan dikonsumsi atau diperdagangkan.
L. PELABUHAN MUAT Yang dimaksud dengan pelabuhan muat ekspor adalah pelabuhan muat dimana surat izin muat ekspor tersebut dikeluarkan.
