Fig 2-1 AC input voltage is converted into DC voltage by a single -phase all wave rectifier circuit. This DC voltage is inverted in high - frequency voltage of about 20 Khz by IGBT inverter. The high -frequency voltage is converted into the 40(+20kV/ -20kV) to 125kV (+62.5kV/-62.5kV) DC high voltage by a high -voltage transformer and the multi -voltage rectifier circuit. This DC high voltage is supplied to an X -ray tube through a high -voltage cable, and PWM INV controls this X-ray tube voltage. Modulating the Filament voltage controls the tube current. . The operation panel can operate selection in each mode of operation and control, selection and setting of conditions. These operation conditions are transmitted by the communication system from OP-CONT to HT-CONT. HT-CONT controls the output of a high -voltage generator according to the instructions from OP-CONT.

BUCKY setup at the time of APR radiography is decided beforehand. A setting state is expressed as "BUCKY1 20 selection switch" and "BUCKY2 21 selection switch”.

?

If the permission capacity of equipment is exceeded when radiography conditions are changed, OVER display light will light up. Since X-ray exposure will be forbidden if the light is switched on, change radiography conditions.

8) Memory of the changed radiography conditions The radiography conditions changed by above 7) clause can be memorized. The memory method pushes Patient Size setting switch chosen now for about 1 second. If a buzzer sounds, it is an end of memorizing conditions. Patient Size switch chosen is displayed by lighting of attached LED.

4) Selection of Patient Size It chooses with Patient Size16 setting switch. Patient size is 6 kinds of LL L M S SS BABY. 5) Display of Radiography conditions Radiography conditions (tube voltage, tube current, and BUCKY) are displayed after selection of Region, Radiography Direction, and Patient Size. AEC number (AEC1, AEC2) is displayed on mAs/sec Display 5 . FIELD setup is also displayed at the time of IC use.

6) Selection of FIELD ( At the time of IC setup) FIELD selection can be performed with mAs/sec Display / Setting switch 5 .

If patient size is changed after FIELD setup, FIELD setup will return to a default number.

?

7) Selection of DENSITY Radiography Density can be fluctuated with DENSITY19 setting switch. Radiography Density will become deep if DENSITY=+1 - +3. Radiography Density will become light if DENSITY=-1 - -3. 8) Display in AEC mode 8-1) ACTUAL-mAs display In AEC mode, ACTUAL-mAs value is displayed on a mAs/sec display 5 part after a radiographic end. However, it is not displayed when radiography is stopped on the way. 8-2) BACKUP-mAs display In AEC mode, if mAs value reaches BACKUP-mAs, X-ray exposure will be carried out, and ACTUAL-mAs value is displayed on a mAs/sec display 5 part

3-8. Radiography 1) Photography preparation

After setting up radiography conditions, the cassette equipped with the film is set to a radiography position. If pushing the X -ray irradiation field lamp switch attached to the variable X -rays beam limiting device, the lamp lights up. X -ray irradiation field is adjusted with a radiography position, and radiography preparation is ended.

2) X-ray radiography that used Radiography switch on OP panel (1) Push Preparation 7 switch for X -ray exposure preparation switch. Ready 11 display is lighted up after completing preparation. (2) After READY display lighting up, if Exposure 8 switch is pushed where Preparation 7 switch is pushed, X -ray is exposed. (3) During exposure, X -rays Exposure 12 display (X -RAY) lights up, and the buzzer turns on. (4) It is an end of radiography, when X -ray Exposure 12 display (X -RAY) puts out the light and the buzzer turns off. F ingers are lifted from switches. A check code is displayed, when a finger is lifted from a switch on the way and exposure is interrupted.

3) X-ray radiography that used Radiography hand-switch (1) Press the 1st step (preparation switch) of Hand Switch 22 . Ready 11 display is lighted up after completing preparation. (2) After READY display lighting up, if the 2n d step of Hand Switch 22 is pushed, X -ray is exposed. (3) During exposure, X-rays Exposure12 display (X-RAY) lights up, and the buzzer turns on. (4) It is an end of radiography, when X -ray Exposure 12 display (X -RAY) puts out the light and the buzzer turns off. F ingers are lifted from switches. 4-1. Error Code and Check Code While having used equipment, when a problem etc. occurs, Error display ?10 lights up, and an error code or a check code display on kV 3 and mA 4 display.

l

Error Code

The error code is displayed when problems, such as abnormalities, occur to equipment. While the error code is displayed, radiography operation is forbidden for safety. A power supply is re-switched off and on, then an error code is cleared. If the problem of equipment is not solved at the time of a power-supply re-switched on, the display is lighted on again. Since it is failure of equipment when an unusual state is not recovered, please inform the service section of our company or our agent.

l

Check code

Check codes are warning displays when an error is on operation of equipment unlike an error code.

During a check code display, X-ray radiography operation is forbidden for safety. ² The method of lifting pushes BACKUP 18 release switch from Ch_02 to Ch_06. ² Release of the state where it generated clears Ch_01, Ch_08, and Ch_09. ² Ch_07 are cleared by power-supply re-switch.

5-1. Maintenance and Periodic Operator Maintenance has a check item that carried out daily by the user and a periodic inspection item by service personnel specifically trained on medical X -ray generator so that the system can be used in the best state. User checks items based on " Daily Checking Items by the operator " and should make data records. The following checks and maintenance procedures, together with the suggested intervals, are the manufacturer’s recommendation for most effective Periodical Maintenance schedule for this generator. Exclusively service personnel specifically trained on medical X -ray generator must perform service tasks here described. The first periodic maintenance service should be performed six (6) months after installation, and the subsequent service every twelve (12) months. When a trouble and a poor part are discovered, please stop use of equipments, turn OFF a power supply, and contact a nearby service station.

5-2. Daily Checking Items by Operator

In order to avoid the danger of an electroshock, please do not remove the cover of equipment by any means. Only the expertise person who received training performs the check and repair accompanied by removal of a cover.

Turn off the switch of a switchboard and carrying out after progress of 1 minute or more, when removing the cover of equipment.

?

Keep an operation room and a radiography room in mind to always keep it clean.

?

The recommended operating environment is follow. Temperature : +10 - +30 ? Relative humidity: 48 – 75 % (no condensation allowed)

In the environment with a rapid change of temperature and humidity, it is easy to generate dew condensation. Installation of an air conditioner is recommended.

The ingredient that makes silver etc. sulfur rate may be contained in the exhaust gas of an automatic development machine. Please install the independent air conditioner.

Operation Panel It checks whether each switch of an operation panel lights up. When cleaning the surface of an operation panel, it is wiped with the soft and fine cloth. When using a cleaner, it is made to contain in cloth and is used.

Don't blow a liquid upon the operation panel directly. It goes into the inside of equipment from a crevice, and becomes the cause of failure.

?

The check of radiographic condition Before the commencement of work, trial radiography is performed and film density, unevenness, and etc. are checked.
