Reason:



A model equipped with a new main controller PCB will soon be marketed, with the differences from the iR5000/6000 discussed herein.



Detail:



1. Main Differences The PDL function has a higher level of performance. The PDL function does not require a RIP1 board. The Card Reader-C1 (option) is supported. Exclusively desired firmware and boot ROM are used. A copier model and a PDL model are differentiated in relation to the type of boot ROM. Upgrading the PDL requires a Multi PDL Printer Kit-A2. Upgrading of firmware and the like requires a Service Support Tool whose version is V1.25 or later. The registration system name for the firmware is 'iR5000d' (when using the Service Support Tool). The ID label for the system name (iR5000d) of the firmware is attached to the upper right of the service book case found behind the front cover. A press on the Counter Check key in the control panel will cause the notation to be indicated in the lower left of the touch panel. A press on the Counter Check key in the control panel will bring up the “Device Config.” key. A press on the key will cause various version information and device information to be indicated as in service mode. Main board version (part revision number of main controller PCB) Controller version (MN-CONT/BOOT-ROM/DC-CON) Scanner version (R-CON/FEEDER) Finisher version (SORTER/SDL-STCH) Device information (The notations are as shown in parentheses.) The existing main controller PCB is equipped with a memory (DIMM) that is based on PC100 standards, while the new main controller PCB is equipped with a memory (DIMM) that is based on PC133 standards. Keep in mind that they are not compatible, and the existing memory cannot be used on the new controller PCB.
