1 REQUIREMENTS Starting up of GeN2 MRL 1150~1600kg ACD2 MRL system should be performed by authorized personal only! The mechanical assembly works of the hoistway and the cab as well as the electrical installation in the hoistway and the controller have to be finished to ensure successful inspection run. The encoder has to be mounted at the machine and properly connected to the drive. The electrical connections have to be completely installed and checked.
2 PRELIMINARY CHECKS 2.2 Check of safety conditions Condition one: The mechanical construction must be completed to a safe operation level. Condition two: Before starting take into consideration: WWJSSS “Lockout/Tagout Procedures”

2.4 Check the shield connection of cables 1. Check the CAN bus cable (from drive to controller) to make sure the shield layer properly connected on both ends of the cable. Attention: Must connect drain wire to PE on both ends of the cable.

Note: The battery is charged by the SPBC. It must be connected at least for 8 hours (over night) before any operations are carried out. When the power of the system is switched off, the battery will be discharged due to the ongoing power demand from the SPBC. When switching off the unit for a longer period of time (> 6h), please disconnect the battery and don't forget to re-connect afterwards!
4. Check the safety line Every safety switch has to be consecutively checked for its faultless functioning and the correct connection by operating the corresponding switch. Furthermore, the bridging dependence of the safety switches that are bridged at ERO-switch “ON” and TCI-switch “OFF”, has to be checked with the help of the wiring diagram. Check: (EEC), TES, SOS, OS, (GCS), 7LS, 8LS, 1BFS, 2BFS, 1PES, 2PES, (CWS-2), GTC, DS, GS, XGS, CKS, 6LS 5. Check the input signals It must be checked if the following inputs of the GECB have the correct signal voltage. P101C:7 (/1LS - 30VDC) P101C:8 (/2LS - 30VDC) It must be checked if the following inputs of the GDCB have the correct signal voltage. See document 55661 “Service Tool” and Gxx30780xxx_Ins&_IO for Reference to find the Parameter you should input before next step. Note: The version of the GDCB and GECB must be checked. The SCN must be as follow indicated or higher: GDCB --- AAA30924CAH ( M-2-1-1) GECB --- GAA30780DAG (M-1-2-3) In order to enable normal run, the parameters must be set according to the contract: All parameters in CONTRACT (M-2-3-1)All parameters in PROFILE (M-2-3-5) Attention: The below parameter should be kept as default : Parameter VelRate div 0..3 (M-2-3-2) must be 0 Any parameter in PROFILE (M-2-3-5) changed, must be sure actual installed available LS length larger than the parameter LS length min mm (M-2-1-7)
The table below can be used as a reference when setting the 4.1T motor parameter. *These parameters are visible only when “Motor Type” (M231) is set as 902, or you can set the “Motor Type”=403(Nom Speed=1.0m/s), “Motor Type”=404(Nom Speed=1.6&1.75m/s) as default machine parameters, detailed information see below table. For 4.1T motor, the Encoder PPR is 4096 .

4.6 DCS – Door Check Sequence Note: In case of failure of a hoistway door contact, the car stops on this floor and is locked. An error message is shown. After elimination of all errors, the car has to be moved to the bottom landing first before starting the DCS RUN once again. Attention: The new feature Hoistway Access Detection (HAD) has been implemented to protect persons entering the hoistway and not properly following the safety instructions. If the DS contact is opened for longer than 4 seconds the GECB will go into HAD mode, the event “0306 HWY Access” is logged. The blinking message “Switch INS” appears in the Status menu. The fault will not be cleared by switching the power off and on, the only way to bring the elevator back into normal operation is: • by ERO or • by pressing PES for at least 2 seconds. • by INS on TCI
