SWOT Analysis of Gillette



Strengths  Procter & Gamble has sufficient marketing and research experience in the field of consumer goods which can support Gillette from the aspects of data and methods.  The quality and reputation of its products have also been recognized by consumers. (On December 18, 2018, the "2018 World Brand Top 500" compiled by the World Brand Lab was announced, and Gillette ranked 73rd.)  Gillette is constantly innovating. It continues to introduce innovative designs and is a pioneer in the industry. (To make the razor adjustable, smoother, more comfortable)  Gillette is able to develop new needs for customers. It introduces high-end technology to the market. Weakness  Gillette is adopting a high price strategy. Some consumers pay great attention to the price/performance ratio of goods. How can Gillette convince consumers?  Consumers are not sufficiently aware of product innovation. How to make consumers aware of its advantages after launching new products. Opportunities  Growth of needs: Consumers are increasingly focusing on personalized consumer experiences. Specialized products can fit more kinds of consumers.  People pay more and more attention to their appearance. In the past, some customers ignore the function of razors, but now, they will choose carefully. Threats  People's awareness of environmental sustainability has increased, and they have begun to pursue more environmentally friendly consumer concepts, so they are not inclined to buy disposable products or products with nondegradable parts.  Gillette is facing more severe competition. In addition to the existing competitors, more and more manufacturers are seeing the potential of the razor market, and they are pouring into the razor market.
